Reviews

Travelers tip on local attractions Several local buses are available to shuttle you around the san antonio area. I would recommend this hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. If you are in shape and don’t mind the 10 minute walk, you can save $ on the hotel. Distance to riverwalk on foot was around 10 minutes. Delicious hot breakfast available for around $3 (well worth it).A good budget san antonio hotel Room was immaculate and comfortable.

. The breakfast wasn’t very good, but that was ok cause the rooms were great, especially for the price. Didn’t stay ou too late though. For a couple of women it was a pretty safe walk at night. It was a few blocks from the Riverwalk so we were able to walk.I would stay again We enjoyed our stay very much.

. A sunny morning is as nice as a warm, San Antonio evening. It appears that there are also several very nice places to get breakfast along the Riverwalk, too. Travelers tip on local attractions If you are walking to the Riverwalk, plan so that you can leave while the River Center Mall is still open, or leave through one of the Riverwalk exits to a major street. The room was clean, smoke free, and comfortable. At a similar discount, we would probably stay there again. It was worth the price. We found it satisfying, but not particularly exceptional. Others have raved about breakfast. But for the price, this hotel was a nice place to stay. It sort of put a damper on the whole experience. I suppose it would have been all that most of the other reviews touted it to be, except that we hit the one rainy day in about five months, so we were rained out of part of Sea World, and had a pretty rainy time in the evening along the Riverwalk.Good overall experience My wife and I stayed at the Best Western Sunset Suites-Riverwalk earlier this month (August 2009), just for one night.

. I would stay there again.but what can you do.... I did wish they had a pool.it was a very enjoyable stay... All in all. The bed was extremely comfortable. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Withing a couple blocks of the alamodome, tower of americas, alamo, and riverwalk.free parking...PLEASE READ I was very pleased with this hotel...close to everything...Very good Hotel.

.Best Western- Sunset Suites Very clean room and a very friendly staff! We will be back.

. Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay Riverwalk and other attractions within walking distance. Hotel was selected because of location and past guest reviews. Overall condition and maintenence of hotel is not what I expected. Not Impressed.

Free parking!!!. Stock the fridge with water bottles or gatorade, you’ll need them. The breakfast is very good and so convenient. This hotel is within walking distance of many attractions, including The Alamo, River walk, Tower of Americas and a three story shopping mall with food court. We traveled to San Antonio to attend Air Force Basic Training Graduation.Great choice.

. It was farther from the River Walk than I had hoped.Nice hotel for a short stay I would recommend this hotel for a short stay in San Antonio.

I will definetly stay here again and recommend it ! Only a short walk to the River Walk and free hotel parking !. The customer service is great too. Large and very comfortable room, very clean, beautiful decoration, very comfortable bed, delicious breakfast ! for only $ 3 dollars a person.Great choice to stay ! I’m highly satisfied with our stay in this hotel.

can’t wait to go back to san antonio!. overall, it was a very nice hotel. we rode the troll bus to the riverwalk most of the time, so we barely drove our car. and also, the front desk and maintenance was very nice and helpful. the bed was very, very comfortable. the outside of the hotel makes it look old, but inside was very comforting. my boyfriend and i loved the suite and how it had a refrigerator and a microwave [although we didn’t use it].Can’t wait to go back!! hotel was very big and nice for the price.

. Travelers tip on local attractions Within walking distance to the Riverwalk, with many restaurants and things to see. The room included a refrigerator and coffee maker. breakfast was complementary and included hot food. The room was very clean and the service was prompt. A great value.Very clean rooms and low price.

. Packed enough diapers for the day and then went to the local store to buy diapers for the week also purchased milk and fruit to keep in the fridge. There was a grocery store 15 minutes away a hotel employee told us about. (Ham, eggs, fruit, ceral, pancakes, potatoes) We traveled with a two year old. Breakfast at the hotel was worth the minimum charge. There was a businees center where we used the internet to get additional information and discounted sea world tickets. The hotel staff were very helpful. We were only a 8 minute stroll to river walk access. Our room was very clean. Will go back I would go back.

. The hotel was extremely comfortable and the staff was amenable to business travelers. Only a few minutes from the airport and a short walk from the Riverwalk.Great business hotel in downtown San Antonio This was a very conveniently situated business hotel in downtown San Antonio with easy access to the highway.

. Definitely will stay there again when back in SA. We didn’t hear the train as other people have mentioned, and we were on the side near the train line.. Probably better a coffee and a muffin in Starbucks unless you want to eat a lot. I was not super keen about the b/fast, is cheap, but the quality of the food is not great. Very big suite.Very good!! Excellent service and very clean.

. The breakfast was superb!! Would definately stay here again. We were in San Antonio for our son’s graduation from Air Force basic training so was in short driving distance to Lackland Air Force base as well.We would stay here again if we ever go back to San Antonio Hotel was very cozy, clean and in short walking distance to the Riverwalk, mall, and Alamo.

. Travelers tip on local attractions Everything on the river walk was within walking distance including the Alamo. Would definitely use this hotel again. Overall we got the best deal for half the price. Internet was free while our friends had to pay for 15 minutes at a time. Our room was bigger, we had a microwave, refrigerator and the room was nicely decorated. When our friends visited our room they were very disappointed in their accomodations.Completely met my expectations! We stayed at this hotel while our friends stayed at an upscale hotel just a couple blocks away.

. Walking distance to the Riverwalk, The Alamo, Tower of the Americas and other attractions.Very nice hotel An attractive renovation of a historic building.

This was definitely a windfall for the cost of the room! Travelers tip on shopping For the ladies, not only is it near the Riverwalk, La Villita and Market Center, but it’s a short drive from two fantastic outlet malls in San Marcos!!. It wasn’t far from the Riverwalk and parking wasn’t a problem at all. Our room had the most comfortable bed I’ve ever had in any hotel or even at home.Very Impressed!!! Not only was the hotel amd our room very well decorated and clean, but the hotel personnel were very helpful during check in and throughout our visit for local information and advice.

. It was more comercial, touristy. I liked it better that Fredricksberg. If you like antiques, Comfort was a charming town with lots of cute shops. We has a great day in the hill country. Beautiful. Also a great Mass at The San Antonio Cathederal downtown. Travelers tip on local attractions If you like history, don’t miss the missions, including the Alamo. Again, the service was fantastic. A great value. Right off the express way and close to the airport. It was about a ten minute walk to the river walk and many other activities.00 breakfast was outstanding. The $3. The room was very clean and stylish. The staff was so warm and helpful. The service was outstanding! We really enjoyed out stay at this hotel.

.45, and you can walk to the riverwalk, but I did not think that the room was a particularly good value. Friendly staff, large breakfast buffet for $3. Although it was ever so slightly bigger than your average hotel room, it was by no means a suite (and in fact would only have slept 4 people).) However, the "suite" was just one room with a sofa bed in addition to a king bed." (We hoped our toddler daughter could nap and go to bed early in one room and we could stay awake in the other. Not really a suite! We paid $40 extra to stay in this hotel because we wanted a "suite.

.Great but not Comfort I was satisfied with the hotel, cleaness, and the service the only thing was the bed weren’t comfortable but other than that it was great but I would have to think twice if I want to go back do to the comfort.

. I’d definitely stay here again. Other than that, though, it was comfortable and quiet. The only problem I had was that the smoke detector battery must have been dying because it kept beeping, even after I called maintenance and they replaced it with another battery. The room was great - clean, well-supplied, etc.Great deal I stayed at this hotel during a business conference I attended.

. Travelers tip on local attractions EASY TO WALK TO EVERYTHING, GOOD EATING PLACES AND THE LOCAL ATTRACTIONS.VERY IMPRESSED STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL.

great room...great location...Great stay wonderful staff .

This hotel is a keeper!!!!!. They gave and drawn maps for me to certain places I wanted to visit. Hotel personel was nice and helpful. We didn’t have to pay for parking like other hotels we reviewed and the buffet breakfast was great and very inexpensive. It was near everything and had a trolley depot near it. We had no problem with the train noise and the location of this hotel was great. The only negative things we read was the noise of the train that runs near by.Great place to stay We had reviewed this hotel before we booked it.
