. But we still like it there, it is a beautiful place to stay. The maid did not come but once during the 10 days we were there.Nice place I think the economy has affected the service of the hotel.

So Noisy! Our room is garden view, but the bedroom is so closed with the mainroad, so it is very noisy all the time, I find it is more comfort for me to sleep in the living room rather than ithe bedroom! You can buy the food from Kmart, It is only 5 mins away of the hotel, and it is easy to use all the cooking equipment so you can enjoy the interest in the kitchen!.

. Owners were very friendly and helpful. The beds weren’t the greatest and it needed a new refrigerator.The room itself needed some upgrading.Someday we want to go back! It was a wonderful location right on the beach and a few blocks from downtown Kona.

Would definitely go back and stay there!. Good location too, its at the end of the strip, so a 5 min walk to the hustle bustle. The condo is well equipped (kitchenware, laundry, snorkel gear, beach chairs etc). Our room overlooked the beach, and we would just pull out the futon at night and sleep to the sound of waves.Amazing Room with a beautiful view! Stayed here for 3 nights in August, and would most definitely recommend it to others! It was well-maintained and clean.

They even stored out luggage while we went hiking before we had to go to the airport. The staff was great and very helpful. The bedroom was hot and the carpet was dirty. Kitchen and living area were clean and nice. It was a little noisy from the units above.Great Location little messy Great location.

. Travelers tip on saving a few bucks You will save a lot of money if you avoid spending too much time in restaurants. Since we didn’t stay seven days, there wasn’t room service, but the people on the staff were very nice. The fold-out couch in the living room was nice for kids. The surfers were right in front of our room. The room was spacious, and the oceanfront view was excellent. The room had a well-equipped kitchen and we were able to use the grills near the pool to cook our food.Oceanfront rooms have excellent views We spent six days on at the hotel.

. All that being said,the air conditioner worked well, the location was great, and the view was fantastic! And that’s what mattered most to us. We were given 1 1/2 rolls of toilet paper for 3 people for the week, and when we requested another roll we were given an argument. Minimal space for clothes and no space for shoes. Bedroom was extremely cramped, and the closet was taken up by storage. Some renovation begun, but not finished.Room mediocre, but view fantastic Our room was mediocre at best.

It’s the way to go snorkeling! Our teenaged daughters loved it!. Travelers tip on recreational activities Captain Zodiac was our favorite!!! It’s a motorized rafting trip that is dynamic, high energy, fun and informative. This is not spelled out on the complex map, so we had to figure it out on our own. There are 2 levels, and they have completely separate entrances. Make sure you locate the level of the parking garage most convenient to your unit. Our 1 bedroom condo was large, clean and comfortable, just very basic. The pool is beautiful. The view is wonderful and there is a small sandy beach which we enjoyed. It is very convenient to all the shopping and the pier where excursions leave. It has a great location. The Kona Reef is apparently and older complex. That’s why we went to Expedia, after all.Adequate, convenient and great view! We knew we were on a "budget" trip.

. Our CD player didn’t work which was a disappointment. Some ocean view rooms have a really good view of the ocean and some do not. Besides having an unobstructed view of the ocean those rooms are far away from the traffic noise on the street. We might be willing to pay the extra for an oceanfront room if we get to go again. Travelers tip on local attractions Take the time to travel south a few miles and check out the South Kona Fruit Stand and have lunch there or at the Coffee Shack (awesome view). Amazingly it was very comfortable and we spent the rest of the week sleeping with the wonderful sound of crashing surf and opening our eyes at first light to the sight of palm trees and ocean.Awesome view and just yards from the ocean Without a doubt, the condo itself was quite nice, but for us, the very best part was the view from our balcony! The first couple of nights we slept in the bedroom but the sound of the ocean was such an enticement that we decided to pull out the sleeper sofa.

. There are plenty of convenient snorkel rentals in town and many great snorkel beaches right around Kona. Good parking.Good location. even the pull-out bed for my teenager was in good shape... Everything was clean and comfortable. We saw spinner dolphins and surfers from our vantage point. The view from the private lanai was incredible, scenic. and it was well worth the upgrade...Will book again Stayed in one bedroom, ocean view.

Well worth the money!. Travelers tip on recreational activities Loved the ATV ride on the north side of the island. But the state of the condo itself was very poor. We upgraded to a beachfront view, thniking we would have a nicer room, and the view was beautiful, of course.we wanted a comparison... The condo next door (D26) was absolutely stunning. Whoever owns this condo needs to put in some major work to make it more pleasant. The appliances were VERY old, the rugs stained and dirty, the paint was old and very scuffed, and the bedroom linens were ragged. The condo in which we stayed (D27) was in terrible disrepair.....Disappointment.

. Just up the road is "Alii Gardens" where they have the best snow cone in the World, and don’t miss the Punalu’u bakery in Na’alehu on your way to the volcano. They help you save up for a don’t miss dinner at "Bubba Gumps". Travelers tip on dining The kitchen & BBQ facilities really help keep the food costs down. I’ll be back to stay here for sure. A very pleasant and enjoyable place to stay. Plenty of easy access parking, and an easy walk to town. Visitors had commented in the room log, how they had watched the whales from the balcony. It even had items you could use during your trip like beach mats, ice freezer packs. Things like Egg, Rice ccokers, tea pots, toasters, slow cookers, on & On. but our condo was equipped to the gills with every cooking amenity you needed to provide meals, smoothies etc. I don’t know about the other rooms. The pool and Spa area was first class, well cared for with clean stainless BBG areas to cook at. The view was fantastic and relaxing. This is the first, on the beach condo, hotel, whatever you call them, in 25 years of visiting Hawaii, where you actually felt like you were on the beach.Very Pleasant and Enjoyable Stay.

Good luck!... I would love to stay here again but I would ask for another room. You have washer/dryer, plates, cups, and we even had supplies for the beach! The only bad thing was our room was very outdated! My husband said it was decorated like the inside of a ABC store! When we walked past other rooms, many had modern furnishings and looked like modern homes. The location is awesome, just a short walk to town.Just like a mini apartment The thing with this hotel it is all depends on the room you get.

Walking into town was so easy. The grilling area was a bonus. We ate in every night, enjoying the sunsets. Our unit was a bit dated but had everything we needed.What a view! The view from our room was incredible! The sunsets were incredible right from the balconly of our unit.

It’s BIG!. Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay Dedicate at least a week for the Big Island. We’re going to try and get the same room on our next trip to the Big Island. Very nice staff. A short walk to all the action in Kailua-Kona. Newly refurbished, very clean with a good view. Everything was wonderful.Great Place! . Nice touch! We loved the location and the pool area and will go back again sometime., beach mats, & coolers provided so we didn’t have to buy all this. We were so happy to find beach chairs, snorkel equip. They fixed it for us. No maintence had been done on it.We’ll stay at this hotel again! The only thing that we could find wrong with our room was that the patio slider screen kept coming off it’s track.

Travelers tip This hotel had nice appliances (including washer and dryer), a lovely pool, and was a short walk to the restaurants, etc. This is not a posh condo hotel but if you like the sound of the ocean, clean rooms, and the feel of the past, this is for you. The view was panaramic where we saw whales, dolphins playing and the native surf-boarders practicing their skills all from our 3rd floor lanai. Our room was located oceanfront with just a strip of grass that bordered the lava rocks from the Pacific Ocean.Serene This is one of those little "treasures" that you sometimes read about but rarely find yourself.
