That is the only reason I did not rate it as a perfect 5! Travelers tip on shopping Within a mile or so of the Louisiana Mall!. Rooms include high-speed internet access but it is NOT wireless! Did not like having a Cat-5 cable strung across the room all of the time. Great hotel, close to just about everything...Nice place.

. Travelers tip on dining There’s a nice Chili’s right across the parking lot that has good food at good prices. Beware the ’lounge happy hour’, they don’t tell you about the charges until after they pour your drink. The breakfast in the cafe was good, with excellent service. I had a hard time locking the latch on the sliding door to my balcony, which was open when I came into the room, but eventually I got it locked. Otherwise the hotel was clean and in reasonably good repair. I called the front desk and she said I’d have to come down for one, which I did, but there was a customer at the desk when I arrived and I had to stand there for 15 minutes waiting for her to hand me the remote (which apparently she’d forgotten about, because I had to explain again why I was down there). So when I dragged myself in after 10pm after a long flight delay I was able to check in fairly quickly and go up to my room, but after starting to settle in I noticed there was no remote for the TV and it wouldn’t work without one.Nice hotel, not enough staff The hotel itself was nice, but they apparently only have one person working in the hotel in the evening.

.A Simple place Went on the trip for a birthday, the hotel is a little hard to get to with the odd civil engineering but is a good hotel for a decent price, very close to the Mall of LA but not real close to LSU if you are going for a game, although might be the closet you can get, several restaurants, shopping and wal mart near, rooms where average.

. Otherwise, a good hotel between Baton Rouge and New Orleans. I wish they had a refrigerator in the room.Good Hotel Nice and clean.
