. This is not the place. All I wanted was a clean place to spend the night on my way to Florida. There are PLENTY of other hotels in Baton Rouge. So, I would not suggest this hotel. Scraped painted floor, old bathroom, bed with sandpaper sheets, etc. "Lived in hard" is the look. Again, not a show stopper but the room was far beyond what was listed on the web. I had reserved a non-smoking room but was given a smoking one (that’s all they had) on the 3rd floor with the elevators not working. I am cool with that and would try to park it in a well light spot and hope for the best.Stop on the way from Texas to Florida - Not impressed After riding on my motorcycle 530 miles in July and arriving at my hotel, I was greeted by current guests at the front entrance telling me that I should watch where I parked my bike since there had been break ins the night before.

. I would stay here again. There are people who like to hang out in the front but if they’re not bothering me then it’s not a problem. It’s obviously not a 4 or 5 star place but it’s nice for what you pay. There’s a Golden Coral right out front so that was very convenient as well. The staff were all very friendly and prompt in helping me. I’ve stayed here three times in the last four months and I it’s always a comfortable stay.Had a pleasant stay I didn’t have any complaints about my stay (8-15 thru 8-17).

. We were given a very large room and did not encounter any noise from other rooms at all.Nice hotel for reasonable price This hotel was pretty nice for the cost.

. People were pleasant, but I wouldn’t stay there again. There was silverware and there were plates and cups. In suite, the faucet in sink practically coming off and no cookware: pot, pan, skillet - nothing. They switched me to another room quickly, though.Not impressed Staff courteous but went to room to find bed unmade and clearly not ready for a new guest.

The only complaint we would have is it took a very long time to check in due to the fact there was only one person working the desk.Nice place to stay The hotel seemed to be an older hotel, but it was decent to stay in.

. Very dissatisfied. You hear every noise from all rooms around you, and not just the adjacent ones but rooms two doors down in any direction. You have to ask for towels and other hotel items daily. They only clean your room while your there if you ask.Seriously Lacking This hotel is not worth the money.

. It was more like a motel for transients, one I would not recommend and would not go to alone again. All the rooms reeked of smoke, despite the "no-Smoking" markers on the doors. So I didn’t rest well, as there were people moving about the hallways also.I arrved after 10 pm & felt unsafe there, traveling alone.The room was clean, but there were lots of "characters" (men)who hung outside smoking and talking.Though the suite was comfortably large, furnishings were very outdated and broken.Very disappointed and didn’t feel safe I was given a suite because they did not have the 2queen-sized beds I’d requested for me & my partner- who luckily cancelled.

. I would not stay at this hotel again. The shower/tub had a leak that allowed water to run off onto the floor. The television signal was very poor. The rooms were not very clean.Not impressed There was an obvious odor in the hallways.

Travelers tip on local attractions Everything you have to drive to get there ie: shopping, coffee shops, resturants, etc. It was just not a very good experience. Hotel was under repair from hurricane Gustav. There is not restroom in the lobby.Will not stay there again!!! First of all the elevator had got stuck and people were inside for 45 minutes! There is NO room service if you do not say more than 7 days! You have to go to the front desk if you want fresh towels! Bed was very hard.

. Area is a decent area with no signs of vandalism noted. But being an urban area, security is one of my main concerns. No situations or concerns arose as we came in after mid-night and in a thunderstorm. However the security doors to the outside, which were suppose to require a room key(card) to enter were non-functioning.Major concern The hotel was clean and staff was very friendly.

. keep the hbo’s and showtimes and just put in expanded cable.Too much noise people running up and down the halls toilets overruning or not clean.

. I will NEVER return to that hotel. I was very disappointed. I told the front desk we would be arriving late and they were knocking at the door at 9am to clean our room. The carpets were dirty and you could tell it hadnt been vacuumed in a while. We didnt even take a bath or shower in it. The bath tub was nasty, the walls of the shower were seperated from the tub and all the nasty was showing.NEEDS MAINTENANCE The room we stayed in was i n need of desperate repair.

The room was horrible, the carpet was crusty when you stepped on it, the bed was like sleeping on a bunch of cardboard boxes that sagged in the middle and the air conditioner was belching a terrible odor that smelled like a old man’s nasty feet. It was the worst place I have ever stayed.Horrible Please unless this is the last place to stay don’t stay in this hotel.

. Seems like a nice place to stay though overall. The room kinda had an odor, but we got used to it. We really just needed a place to crash after the LSU game and that’s about all we got.A good, not great, place to rest your head.
