Reviews

. It had a musty smell tho.Alright for the price The motel is an older motel, kind of run down but the rooms were clean.

. Travelers tip on local attractions Easy to get to movies, shopping. It was a comfortable hotel and we would stay again. There wasn’t a microwave in the dining area to heat the oatmeal, We were allowed to take it to our room, even though it said not to.A fine Hotel The carpet is getting really dirty,we kept our socks on until we got in bed.

. And it was nearly impossible to get blankets and pillows, as one night my kids had to sleep on a fold out couch but we could only get one very thin and holy blanket for their cover. We were a family of 5 staying two nights and there were only 3 sets of towels in the room which was odd, so I had to ask for more each day. The help behind the front desk however was none too friendly and did a very poor job of explaining things such as the times for the pool and continental breakfast. This hotel has much cheaper rates than the others around it so I figured it would be a dump and I was amazed that it really wasn’t.Surprised Me I was a bit surprised by the actual comfort and cleanliness of the room.

. The breakfast would’ve been nice, but was so packed I never got to the waffles. I think probably because it was the cheapest hotel in the vicinity. There was constantly tons of people outside our room drinking, smoking, and running up and down the halls until midnight. Not a horrible hotel, older, fairly clean-the people it seemed to attract was the biggest downside..Cheap hotel close to World’s of Fun.

. We had a party of 12 and all of us agree to use a different hotel for our next visit to KC. Will not stay here again. Poor parking. Lots of loud noise and smoking from other visitors. Not staying here again Staff was slow to assist us.

. You should be ashamed of the way this place is managed... Days Inn. You’re better off spending the extra $ and staying somewhere else. This place is a joke. I had to park in the street, a block away from my own hotel room, only to watch 6 people come out of the hotel room beside mine the next morning and leave in 6 cars, all parked in front of my room. Again, the front desk did nothing. I am all about fun, but not where desent people are trying to get some rest. No kidding, a huge BBQ grill, coolers of beer, row of lawn chairs,a blairing radio, and a dozen people partying. I dropped the family off at our room, only to discover a "Mexican Fiesta" going on outside of our room. The front desk clerk did nothing, telling me I would have to park along a "curb" in the packed lot or "in the street". I went to the front desk, only to find out that the "Auto Auction" rolls thru this area every Tuesday and Wednesday. Not an empty parking stall. The parking lot was now completely full of salvage yard specials. We left for dinner and returned to the hotel at midnight. This should have been my clue this place was a joke. The parking lot was 1/2 full of un-tagged, junk cars.m. to check in about 5:30 p.F.O. We arrived on a Wednesday afternoon after the day at W.This is your warning - Do Not Stay Here.

. Travelers tip on local attractions Worlds of fun is very close, if you can survive the night. I took pictures of this to show my freinds back home ):. It had big damage from all the people that had tripped over it. There was electrical conduit exposed about 6" above the ground between the lot lights that you had to step over, or trip over. Little language barrier, alot of "heard that before don’t care attitude". When I talked to the staff all they could say was "no refund, no refund". The sheets had stains and spots where they would rest along your neck. The room was just plain disgusting, damaged faucets, holes in the walls shoddily patched, one with a kleenex stuffed in it in the ceiling. There were knats or fleas jumping in the sink and the bathtub, should have heard my wife scream at this sight! The front door had 1" or so gaps at the top and opening side that the sun shined in, and the bugs apparently crawled in. I saw two other hairy spiders crawling on the bathroom floor, very healthy looking critters. There were dead spiders haning in the closet from webs, Daddy longleg looking things. The room had a rotten wet mold smell, kind of like rotten grain, very strong. We ended up checking out the next morning, forfeiting our pre-paid 2nd night and paying full rate at the hotel up the road. We had no idea of the creep-show we were in for. The room was half the price of other hotels nearby.Spiders, fleas and rotten water smell, disgusting!!! We booked the hotel and knew it would not be a palace.

Travelers tip on dining There is a Waffle house right across the street! We love the Waffle House!!!. But like I said you get what you pay for. The inside of the room does look better than the outside of the hotel(kinda run down and that ice machine area SCARY)The room was ok all except the little fruitflies that hung out in the sink and tub. But be aware you get what you pay for. Like another reviewer said if you’re just in need of a place to sleep after a long day at one of the parks, and you’re not looking to spend alot, then sure stay here.Just ok For the price it was just ok.

. Nothing fancy, waffles are a part of the continental breakfast. If you are going just to spend the night and go to Worlds/Oceans of fun it is worth it.Not bad This hotel has a nice pool and the rooms are decent.

. Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay I would suggest that you eat at Gates bbq, catch a baseball game, go to worlds of fun, and if you enjoy the club scene americas pub was the place to be when i was there. I would stay at this hotel again. the rooms were clean just in need of some tlc. the free breakfast was good.Worth what you pay the employees were very friendly and knowledgable about the area.

And with the money you save on the price, you can have extra money to spend on your vacation! Travelers tip on shopping The Great Mall of the Great Plains has lots of really nice outlet stores! A great place to get some great bargains!. This is a good place to stay if you will be spending most of your time out enjoying Kansas City and just need a place to sleep and shower. Located right next to the highway so it was pretty easy to get to places in KC quickly. The building is old but the room was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful.A good hotel for the price.

. Wouldn’t do a multi night stay there but one night was ok. everything looked worn but seemed clean. Rooms were a bit small and out dated. For a one nigt stay this met the need. We were looking for an inexpensive place to stay close to family. We need a place to stay for one night. It met the need.

. Just the breakfast was horrible. The room was good and clean.Good quality price ratio It was good for the cheap price.

We do love their free breakfast, you can make your own waffles!. We have stayed there before because it is right across the street from World’s of Fun amusement park. It was okay.Just okay.

. The low price was not worth it. Travelers tip on saving a few bucks Go to a higher room rate to get a nicer hotel. I would not stay there again even though I chose it for the low rate. The free breakfast was passable even though we arrived around 9:00am. Towels were rough and old. The bathroom floor was very old and dirty in the corners. Not worth it for low room rate It was difficult to regulate the heat.

. Good location near N KC & fairly easy to get downtown & to the Crown Center. Travelers tip on recreational activities Close to the boats.2nd stay Except for the tiny spider in the sink, everything else was fine; just didn’t have time to try the waffles.

. Construction going on.Not satisfied No lunch, only restaurant close by is Wendy’s Fastfood.

. I don’t think I would stay here again. There were other things wrong as well. These were just to name a few. The tank top didn’t fit on the toilet. There was blood stains on the sheets and bedspread that didnt come clean. The tiles on the bathroom ceiling were gaping open. There was mold on the walls and the faucet leaked. It’s in sore need of a few renovations. But the hotel itself is very old and run down. The staff behind the desk were very nice and helpful with directions and with checking in and out. It is in a great location and only took us minutes to get to where we wanted to go. Although we survived it, there was a lot left to be desired here. I would only recomend this hotel if you could not afford a more expensive one.You Get What You Pay For And sometimes you don’t.

. the cable on the televison wasn’t working and i called the front desk and they never came to fix it. The pillows had been washed and dried so many times they were nothing but a balled up mess.Really bad the king size bed was very uncomfortable you could feel the springs through the mattress.

Awesome place to stay!. And a great price too. A nice staff. It had a great pool. Can’t wait to go back This place was a great place for our honeymoon, it was so close to oceans of fun we could have walked.

. In the future, I would find ANYWHERE else to stay. While service was passable, the rooms are hideously dingy and poorly maintained.Great if you like grime While the motel is close to the Worlds of Fun parks, that is the best I can say about it.

Travelers tip on local attractions Right across from Worlds of Fun. When I decide to visit Worlds of Fun again I will probably stay here. The room was in good repair and the bed was actually pretty comfortable. Our neighboring room had dogs that barked everytime that someone walked by. They allow pets here but I don’t think they enforce rules with that. Not bad for the price This was a decent place to stay and was in a great location.

. Ok for the price and location. Was so close to World of Fun which was nice. The room did have a fridge and microwave which we need. Repairs done are obvious as they are done sloppy and do not look good. The rooms are cleaned on the surface, but deep cleaning needs to be done.Ok for an overnight The hotel needs some renovations.

. I will not stay here again. (I poured out the remaining half a bottle) It was not the usual stay that I am used to with Days Inn. I found an open bottle of whiskey on the sidewalk outside of my room the morning of the last day, which made me wonder what went on so close to my sleeping children during the night. Those that cannot afford a nice hotel stay here, so, this is who you will be living next to. Cops were everywhere. There was an arrest made in the parking lot of the hotel both days while we were there. It says it is within walking distance to the theme park Worlds of Fun, but there is no sidewalks and it is all highways, so go ahead and figure on paying the 10 dollars a day parking at WOF.A chance to see yourself on Cops I chose this hotel because of it’s location and the price.

Travelers tip on local attractions Close to the expway mall shoping center. Hotel is great and beautifull people to serve and very good location to stay i like it persnelly i Thank You.It was good trip to kc w expedia servise hope to do it again .
