Satisfactory Hotel StayStay at hotel was enjoyable this trip.Rating:3
Located in the low rent district of the town.If you need a handicap accessible room you will have to make sure that the hotel understands that this means you are not able to walk a great distance to get to your room, even if it is on the first floor. I traveled alone, arrived late at night, and had to walk up a ramp and around corners to get to my room at the middle of the building. I had to accomplish this along with getting some luggage into the room, all while walking with a cane. Be aware of where they assign your room. Also be aware that the hotel is not in a good part of town, obvious low rent area, and some people may not feel .Rating:4
front st binghamtonthe outside had a bit of litter-- sloppy, dirty looking the inside is under renovation so it remains to be seen- I plan to stay there again next year at this time.. and now I know there is a pool. which isnt on the websiteRating:2
not impressedhotel undergoing constructionRating:3
Days Inn BinghamtonPoorly maintained, not particularly cleanRating:4
ConvenientGreat location if you want to be in the downtown Binghamton area. The hotel is located in the light commercial district of front street, adjacent to a resedential area. The breakfast room can accomodate a busy Saturday morning crowd and is well stocked with provisions. An economical stay.
Travelers tip for business travelersHotel is perfect if attend other events in town. Its not the best place to socialize.Rating:4
Good for the PriceIt was the cheapest hotel near Binghamton, and it was definitely worth the price. It wasnt stylish or in stunning condition, but it was clean and comfortable, and the staff was great. Ill definitely stay there when I go back to Binghamton.Rating:4
convenient locationbetter than I expected - clean and comfortable at a good priceRating:1
Bad ExperienceWhen I arrived back after being out with friends, my door was ajar and there was a wash cloth and towel on the floor. Nothing appeared to be missing but it was very, very disturbing. I immediately called the Front Desk and they apologized and said they would speak to the cleaning person. The incident can not be undone ... I will NOT go back to that hotel!Rating:5
good place to stayI stayed here on the way to Niagara falls, it was clean, and the service was excellent. However it appeared to be in a college town, we arrived at 3am and it seemed there were all these college kids all over the roads drunk. Inside the hotel was excellent though.Rating:4
Good value for the priceDecent hotel, with breakfast at a good price. The only strange thing was the unmarked discotheque (?) right in the compound with the hotelRating:2
Cheap, but LOUD!Coming from NYC, the neighborhood felt perfectly nice and safe. The hotel was slightly dingy, but that is to be expected for the price. What I didnt expect was the paper-thin walls. The people in the next room came in very late, and though they were not being particularly loud, we heard EVERY WORD from them and the TV, as if they were IN our room. We were woken up, and then werent able to sleep for a couple of hours until they went to sleep themselves. I have never experienced this type of thin walls in a hotel before. I wont be back.Rating:4
Excellent for the money. Good location in Binghamton, NYThe Hallways were sort of dingy, but the room was nice.
Travelers tip on local attractionsJava Joes is a great coffee place in Binghamton, NY. It is on State Street, just off of Main Street downtown. Larry DenkRating:4
will back to the hotelBreakfast is late than 6:00am.Rating:3
Okay for just staying a night, I guessI checked in at night and checked out early next morning (I was in Binghamton for a meeting), so I have not thoroughly seen the neighborhood, but at night at least the neighborhood did not look nice. The staff at the front desk was rather stiff. I had to go to the front desk twice due to a very poorly written "6" (the room number was "226" which was written in a way that I think any sane person would read as "224". Anyway. The room and the bathroom were okay; the room had iron and board and TV with cable channels. The biggest problem for me was that there was no internet in the room even though the hotel claims that they have wireless internet. They keep a couple of wireless routers downstairs which do not reach in upstairs rooms. I could not work on my presentation at night; had to squeeze in a few mins in the morning at the lobby to work on it. I will not stay here next time.
Travelers tip for business travelersIf you need internet access, then do not come to this hotel.Rating:1
Hotel serviceThere was only one receptionist at the front desk when we arrived at 10pm and 3 other families waiting to be attended.
Travelers tipThe bed was old pulled was worn out in the center. Very unconfortable.Rating:5
very nicely up kept hotelvery nice, just located in a sketchy areaRating:4
not what I expectedJust like the title states - it was not quite what I expected. The hotel is not in the best of neighborhoods. It was not exactly the cleanest place I have ever stayed as well. But, after staying for 5 nights, I would still go back. The staff was very nice, and tried to accomodate my needs. With all of the other dilemmas I had during my vacation, it was still a nice place to stay at the end of the day.Rating:3
Decent ChoiceNot a bad cheaper hotel. Older building, but nice staff and good location.Rating:3
Binghamton, NYThe facility was not very nice, but the service was friendly.Rating:2
not impressedYou couldnt get the heating sytem to work right so even on low it was too hot if you tried a little after low it was too cold. my toilet was clogged when I checked into my room. I got up to take a shower the next am no hot water. the rug used in the bathroom had stains on it. the front desk never told me I had to ask to have the phone turned on, then when I did they didnt tell me I had to dial 9 to make calls. I just thought boy my friends talk a lot the lines still busy and it was a busy signal because I didnt dial 9 first. At the breakfast buffet not all stuff was put out had to ask for butter then it was too hard to use. over all not satified would not stay there againRating:3
Decent in town accomodationsI used to live in Binghamton so I prefer to stay in the City when I visit my daughter at the college. The hotel is quiet and clean enough to be comfortable. I have stayed on more than one occasion and would stay here again.
Travelers tip on diningTry the Lost Dog Cafe on Water and Henry Streets (the other side of the Chenango River).Rating:1
Awful!!The ammenities were not as described. We were told there was a pool and fitness room. They have neither. We had to change rooms twice. The 2nd time we were at least offered an upgrade, but I would still never go back. They advetise breakfast from 6am to 10am, but by 9am the food is gone and they refuse to put out anything more. The whole stay was awful. The best parts of the trip were when we were out of the room and didnt have to come back for a while.
