Clean & Quiet!Nice clean & quiet,no frills,fair price.Rating:1
terrible, horrible, maybe even worseRoom smelled of smoke and must--it was labeled a non-smoking room. Refrigerator was broken. Someone elses rotting food was left in the refrigerator. Chain lock for door was broken (chain was missing). Bathroom was run down and rusting in areas. Wake up call was 30 minutes late. Complimentary breakfast was minimal in the selection. All negative areas were brought to the attention of hotel staff and none were addressed or resolved.Rating:4
Its a Days Inn, not the BelagioHaving read 2 earlier reviews on this site I was apprehensive about staying here. I had recently spent a weekend in Decatur at a significantly more expensive hotel and was not overly impressed so I decided to give it a shot. I was very pleasantly surprised. The staff was very friendly and helpful, my room was small but very adequate; clean and in good repair. As i had booked in advance the management upgraded my room to one that included a micro fridge. I thought that was a nice touch. I would have liked to have had an iron and ironing board in the room. They were readily available at the desk, but if I had been on the second floor or further from the desk it would have been an inconvenience to trot back and forth securing and returning them. The location of the hotel is good for travelers with business on the west side of town and is easy to get into from the hiway. In all it was on a par with a Days Inn. Decent lodging at an affordable price.Rating:1
horrible experience, poor serviceI had a very horrible experience while at this hotel. I went to bed after a 12 hour work day, and something wet started seaping up through the matress. (Someone urinated on the mattress, and it was covered up with a bottom sheet). I was given a new room. When I went into the new room, I went to take a shower. In the shower of the new room, I found a dirty, wet wash cloth laying in the tub. When I checked out, the clerk was very casual about it. I would have at least received an apology....but, I received a "We did feel some urine on the bed." After that experience, I would have thought at least something in return...my room compd or SOMETHING. As I left, I was told, "well, your all done, you dont have to sign anything. I will never return to this hotel ever again. *I"m happy I received a new room, but, if a hotel is not clean, why bother? Check the beds for bodily fluids before you enter them.Rating:3
A place to sleepThe hotel was decent enough to sleep in. I was on the 2nd floor which was a better place to be for the noise. The free breakfast as usual at these type hotel are bad.
Travelers tip on saving a few bucksIf you are going to spend more time other than as a place to sleep go somewhere else. The hotel has no amenities at all.Rating:4
Good valueBasic accomodations, clean, friedly staff, complementary diy continental breakfast and newspapers.Rating:1
Disregard its location within walking distance of the convention center. this is a truck stop MotelThis is definitely a No Star motel, Brekfast was some crumby swet rolls and cereal, nothing hot or prepared,,, no eggs, no meat they didnt even care enough to provide a cable TV channel listing sheet, towels were very scratchyRating:5
For the Money a Great StayVery basic, no frills hotel but we very satisfied. We were not going to be in the room very long and our basic needs were met. Clean room, decent bathroom and friendly employees.Rating:4
Days InnThe bed was the most comfortable in which Ive slept in a long time. The air conditioner unit was decrepit looking, but worked fine. My only complaint/concern was in that I was staying with my dog, that there was broken glass out by where I walked my dog. I asked for it to be picked up, for safety. It wasnt during my week long stay.Rating:3
not impressedlocation too far from anythingRating:3
Fairly okThe positives are: Fairly affordable rates, Curteous employees, decent packing The negatives are: The quality of the accomodation is fair at best (bed, doors, floor) and breakfast consist of mainly doughnuts and coffee.Rating:4
AdequateLack of maintenance made room uninviting. Front on heating unit came off, not repaired while I stayed there. The location is far from most restaurants and other ammenities. It was next to Convention Center and this was its major attraction.
