Travelers tip on dining
There is a newer Mexican restaurant in the shopping plaza across from the McFarland Mall called The Blue Iguana. Staff were friendly. The area felt safe. The accommodations are not deluxe by any means, but certainly very acceptable - particularly for the price point. The hotel is clean and comfortable. However, I was pleasantly surprised. area. Its a go
I previously lived in Tuscaloosa and have to admit that I was feeling a little iffy about staying right in front of the WalMart and in the general Skyland Ave.
. Lots of restaurants and shopping very close.
Travelers tip on saving a few bucks
There are more luxurious hotels in the area, but if you are just looking for a place to sleep for the price the Days Inn is a great option. We had stayed at the Hotel Capstone previously, and for the rate difference and quality of the Days Inn, I will stay at the Days Inn everytime. The GM was as the desk and was always helpful with a great attitude. Continental breakfast was not elaborate but fine if you just want to grab coffee and a muffin, bagel, cereal, etc. It was the stand-alone type by the window, which you can adjust to meet your needs. A/C worked VERY well. Room was large, clean, and included a small refrigerator and microwave. This is very sufficient if you just want a clean, economical place to sleep. Will definitely stay again!
Stayed in this hotel while moving my son into the University of Alabama.
. I will definately stay there again if we are ever in that area. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating to our requests. The shower was clean. The room was clean.Great room for a great price
I was very satisfied with our room.
. Walmart, Dreamland, Krispy Kreme and the University.Great place
everything is right there.
. I would recommend this hotel due to the fact that it is close to the UA campus but not too close and if you left something at home Wal-mart/Sams are located behind it. It was clean and the beds were comfortable.Great hotel
The hotel staff was very freindly and helpful.
. It is very close to restraunts and shopping.Impressed
It is one of the nicest Days Inn that I have stayed in.
. Also, the handicapped restroom was a welcome sight.
Was pleased with the connecting rooms since grandchildren were with us.Would stay again.

Bottom Feeders (Barbeque and seafood) off the beaten trail but worth the time to find. Other than more seating in the lobby for breakfast (which the owner replied to my direct rating survey was in the final stages of completion) I would have no additional requests. Front desk staff in general were very helpful and recommended an excellent restaurant I would not have found on my own. Updated room was quite clean and had plenty of room in a "separate" work area for me to stay in the room and work on my laptop while my wife was at her conference.Excellent economical choice
Excellent value for rate paid.
. The motel is adjacent to a Walmart Superstore in case you need toiletries, groceries, film, or other travel items. Restaurants and fuel stations were nearby for those who are looking for convenience getting on and off of the highway before and after their stay. The rooms are slightly worn, but comfortable and reasonable priced.Nice but Brief Stay
While this is not a new motel, I was impressed at the friendliness of the staff.
. Overall, a good place to stay at a reasonable price.Good value
The hotel was clean, the staff was polite, the continental breakfast was good.
.Would stay again
Staff were very helpful and pleasant.
. I will definitely use this facility again. About a 15 min drive in heavy traffic (not game day traffic). Centrally located to businesses and shopping.School travel
