. The website was a little foggy on that point. To our surprise they said that we booked only a hotel room and not a parking spot. Not What We Expected
We reserved this hotel thinking that we could leave our car at the hotel and take the shuttle to the airport.
Out of date ,not well keeped & poor staffing.Hotel Not well keep.
. This hotel completely exceeded my expectations and I will definitely consider it next time I need to stay in KC. Normally I do not mind paying more for a high-class room, but I am on a tighter budget these days, so I thought I would settle for the Days Inn. My stay was very quick- just 1 night, and the Days Inn was perfect for me.Great choice for on a budget
The Days Inn KCI is a great choice when staying in Kansas City.
. Good value for the price. Desk service was iffy.Nice for the money
The room was clean and breakfast wasnt bad.
. It is very close to the airport and has a continental breakfast. There were some holes in the bathtub but everything worked fine.Decent arport hotel for a quick one night
Only stayed at this hotel for a night but it was alright.
My airplane was one day late (I was coming from Europe), so I missed my reservation.
Run down facility
The taps in the sink and shower were loose The cable tv was very restricted due to cable problems The place was worn and needs overall Continental Breakfast was OK, Pick up from airport was efficient,Price was good.
Dont think Ill go back unless there are some huge improvements!. No big enough to make me go back though. AND they had free WIFI which was a big plus. It was very convenient to the KCI Center where I was conducting my business. Free breakfast was barely passable - no one maintained the area and after the first few people had breakfast, it was a mess.behind the TV?! Hallways and stair wells were littered with debris... If you squeezed between the corner of the wall and the entertainment center (held the TV), you found an alcove with a coffee table and love seat back there. Decor was cheap and the room layout was the most bizarre Id seen. The towels were very thin, the sheets were dubious - had they been changed or hadnt they? Hard to say. The staff wasnt friendly but they were cordial.
This hotel was, hopefully, being renovated b/c there was plastic sheeting over the facade of the building though I never saw any work being done. Not at all pleasing.Wow.
. We parked our car for six nights and had a ride to and from the airport for a very reasonable price.Good for Park & Fly
If you need a place to just spend the night before your fight out, this motel was okay.
the room was ok but the elevator was not working and we had to carry all of our stuff up three flights of stairs it was a great inconvienence and the desk help said you can try the elevator but not sure it will work in broken english god bless the USA
get an elevator.
Thanks Days Inn. Would stay again, very happy customers. Breakfast was excellent too. He helped load all our bags (lots of them) and then unload them, and then because we were hungry, he drove one of us to Gas station to get food.Great Service
We arrived at MCI airport after midnight, rang the hotel and within 20 mins the van was there to pick us up.
. Its wonderful and the contemporary art museum has a wonderful cafe.
Travelers tip on local attractions
Go to the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. The highway access was also really nice.Nice place
Staff was very friendly and the room was wonderful.
. It was terrible! We would of went some where else if it hadnt already been paid for and we only needed it for the night for a park and fly. The room smelled awful. After arguing with him about my reservations he reluctantly gave me a room with two queen beds, that was a smoking room. The man at the desk was unfriendly to say the least.Wouldnt go back
our reservation was made for two queen beds when we arrived we were told that we had a room with one king bed.
.It was clean, the staff was friendly.
We were very pleased with this hotel.........Nice Stay.
. They do have a Airport shuttle and breakfast. It is just a place to sleep that is it.OK
For one night it is OK.
. The pool was the main reason we chose to stay at this hotel. Water was too cold to enjoy.Pool too cold
Was satisfied with hotel with the exception of the indoor swimming pool.
. So I didnt see much but it provided a good nights rest which I really needed. In and Out Quick & Easy
I arrived at 10 something in the evening and was on the 5am shuttle to the airport the next morning.
. We werent happy at all with our stay. It just looked very cheap. The bed had at least been made but the bathroom had apparently been remodeled at some point and it was very poorly done. We were then given another room.it was horrible! We went back to the desk and asked for a new room and the desk person was very kind and apologized for the mishap... We arrived late and were exhausted hoping to crash and get up early for our flight and when we walked into our room it was a disaster! The room hadnt been cleaned, the bed was unmade, trash was spilling onto the floor. Not Impressed
We came to this hotel for the first night of our honeymoon and picked it because of its close proximity to the airport.
. We will definitely keep this place in mind the next time we fly. The manager even helped get our car started when my husband accidentally knocked the mirror and the light drained the battery while we were gone. The shuttle to and from the airport worked well. They had the continental breakfast ready early us. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was very nice with a king bed and coach and would have been good for a longer stay than overnight. Since we were catching an early flight and live 2 and a half hours from the airport, we tried their "park and fly" package with the room.Good for Park & Fly
My husband and I had a pleasant experience at the KCI Days Inn.
. Parking lot well lighted. Free shuttle to and from.
Travelers tip on saving a few bucks
Room here and up to 7 days parking was only a little more than the price of parking at MCO. I will return. Pool clean and welcoming. Computer and printer in lobby. 5 minutes from MCO. Waffles, rolls, cereal, toast, coffee, OJ, etc. Breakfast was ok. Staff was nice, Airport shuttle on time and very convenient. Remodeling going on outside and construction next door but did not bother us. Room was clean and as expected.Great
Stayed here night b4 an early flight.
. Free one hour factory tour (age 12 and over).
Travelers tip on recreational activities
Harley-Davidson plant is just east of this hotel. Overall not a place I would plan to stay again. I would normally expect to see a couple of these (in working order) and a rescue hook in a pool area. Also the only item of safety equipment was a foam life preserver that had the cover ripped off. The pool area was very poorly kept with dirt and even a Band-Aid staying in the same place for both days we were there. However, pulling on the door to help it latch and then cycling the lock did get it to lock solidly. The electronic door lock was at best temperamental, tending to remain unlocked after the door was closed. The door showed signs of damage with the screws being partly pulled out of the mount for the lock bar. The room itself was generally clean and the TV and refrigerator worked (did not try anything else). The elevator sounded so bad that the creaky stairs were preferable. Hopefully the interior is also scheduled for renovation as you could see the trim separating from the walls. This added a layer of dust, dirt and little foam beads (from the foam being added to the exterior) to the halls, pool and other common areas. The building was undergoing an upgrade to the exterior trim. The kids that were running the place could be interrupted long enough to take care of the minimum tasks necessary to assign a room but showed no actual interest in the customer. Not At All Impressed
I would have to rank this hotel in the lower 10% of the many I have stayed in over the years.
. Loaded with toppings and cheese. The best. Awesome pizza. They have menus in the lobby.
Travelers tip on dining
Ordered pizza delivery from I believe it was called Mazzios. I recommend. Best rates for airport hotel with shuttle and parking. About 2 miles from the airport. Airport shuttle was on time for trip to airport and came to pick us up on return promptly. Inside pool is nice. Hotel was doing some remodeling to outside but nothing that disrupted our night. Waffles, rolls, toast, cereal, OJ and coffee. Breakfast is the basics. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Both stays were for park and fly.Great for Park and Fly
My second stay here.
. About 30 minutes away from this hotel.
Wonderscope was a great place to spend the afternoon with small children. Would never stay there again. Non-smoking room I ordered wasnt available - they had to give me a different non-smoking room that wasnt as convenient for my family. Pool wasnt heated. Carpet on the main floor & in elevator was wet.Poor maintenance; smelled;
Looked like there was a water problem.
Travelers tip on dining
Many places to grab a snack or eat a complete meal are close by - and additionally, the hotel will provide transportation if required. There must be contingency plans in place for no-show employees whether the reason of the no-show is valid or not.Convenient to Airport
Customer service has gotten better since my last visit although management must emphasize and set the example even more.
. No restaurants in area.Staff was friendly
Breakfast bar is sparse.Hotel impressions
Maintenance is lagging somewhat.
