. No complaints at all. Even the parking was good! I highly recommend staying here. The room was beautiful, the bed was extremely comfortable, the view of the ocean was gorgeous, the hot breakfast was satisfying, and the fireplace added wonderful ambiance.Want to go back!
Everything from start to finish during our two-day stay at the Elizabeth St Inn was great.
. So requesting the 4th floor may be the best way to avoid this possible annoyance. However, we stayed on the top floor and didnt notice a thing.
Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay
A family that rode the elevator with us complained that the toilet flushing from the room above theirs was quite noisy. Im not really fond of berries but I ate every bite of this wonderful dessert. We mentioned to our waitress that my wife and I were celebrating our birthdays while in Newport, and she surprised us with a delicious free dessert made of crumbled shortbread and whip cream (both homemade) with mango, blueberries, and strawberries. The harbor and boats were directly across the street making it quite scenic as well. Their walls/windows fully retract so that you feel like youre dining alfresco without actually being on the sidewalk, sharing your space with pedestrians and traffic. The atmosphere was very nice. Our dinner there was excellent! The crab cake appetizer was the best Ive had in years, and our dinners were delicious. Go! The front desk recommended Local Ocean in the historic bay front area for dinner. It was definitely a step above your basic continental breakfast. The included breakfast was served until 10:00, which allowed for a relaxing start to our day. The fireplace has a handy timer so you dont even have to get out of bed to shut it off. Listening to the waves by the light of the fireplace was a great way to end the day. We left the slider open the entire time. The double queen room was clean, beautiful, and spacious, and the bed was quite comfortable. We thought it to be a good, solid choice, but from our first moment there to our last it was nothing short of awesome.Perfection
After reading many of the other reviews of this hotel we arrived cautiously optimistic.
. Very nice restaurants within easy walking distance from the hotel. Went to sleep each night to the sound of the waves breaking gently on the beach. The sea view from the balcony was wonderful. Room was clean and comfortable. What a view!
Very friendly welcome at reception on arrival.
. With the view, the comfort of the room and easy location to restaurants and sites this is a winner. The rates here were in our ballpark. We are on a fixed income and going to the beach is usually far too expensive for us.Would definitely stay here again when/if in Newport
We were looking for a place at the beach to celebrate 45 years of marriage.
. We will be back. The continential breakfast was the best we had had at any hotel, fresh hot foods and cold foods to suit your taste. Because we were above ground level and the room had a private balcony, we were able to leave our sliding glass door open and for two nights we went to bed with the fresh salt air in our lungs and the roar of the ocean lulling us to sleep. The room was large, wonderfully furnished with quality funiture, decor and even His & Hers white terry cloth robes.Really, Really Nice!
My husband and I stayed at the Elizbeth Street Inn in Newport, OR mid-week in September 2009, Wednesday and Thursday nights, and it was absolutely wonderful.
.Sea view outstanding
staff were very helpful room was very comfortable great hotel the only thing they could change is the breakfast if you were only booked for one night it was fine but we stayed several nights and it was the same food everyday with a crowded eating area.
. we did open the screen door but the air outside was a little stinky so we had to deal with the hot. There was not air conditioning. Our only complaint was that the room was way too hot. The amenities were great and worth the money.Great Place, but room was too hot
We enjoyed out stay very much.
Great for families!!! Dont miss the giant octopus feeding--(times are posted on website) he changes color when eating!. Visit the Hatfield Marine Science Center which is free. After youre done, visit Embarcaderos bar for great happy hour prices on drinks and wonderful nachos (and other good food)! It overlooks the seals and bay area.

For fun, check out the Newport Bay area to watch the seals on the dock. We wont go anywhere else! The breakfast is really nice too, with lots of options. The warm cookies in the evening are a nice touch and the staff is very friendly. The comfortable rooms are beautiful with fireplaces and balconies to enjoy the incredible sunrises and sunsets.Beautiful room, beautiful ocean view
Whenever my husband and I stay in Newport, we always like to stay at Elizabeth Street Inn.
. We enjoyed a walk on the beach every day.
Travelers tip on local attractions
The hotel was close to all of the Newport attractions. It provided a great start to the day. We also enjoyed the breakfast every morning. We left the door open a little at night so we could hear the ocean. Morning, noon and night, the view was beautiful. It was comfortable and staff were friendly - but most of all - the beautiful ocean view.Sleep to the sound of the ocean
We loved our stay at Elizabeth Street Inn.

Make sure to visit Mos, the clam chowder lived up to all the reviews-fantastic!. I really enjoyed my stay and I know if I ever go back to Newport I will stay at this hotel again. Every room faces the beach and was very greatful for the fridge! The breakfast wasnt top rate but they had a variety of hot and cold foods making breakfast choices very easy. The staff was very friendly and helpful and always available. Will go back
The hotel as a whole is very clean and convenient to many of the attractions on the Newport waterfront.
. We loved this quaint hotel! I would recommend the Elizabeth Street Inn if you are going to Newport. The staff was very friendly and they had a great continental breakfast. The rooms are very nice and all of them have a view of the ocean. The location is fabulous.Great Hotel
We recently stayed at the Elizabeth Street Inn with our kids.
Lots of hospitality!! Always able to leave the balconey door open to hear the roar of the ocean, turn on the gas fireplace for effect, pop some popcorn in the microwave and grab a cold one from the minifridge for a great evening after relaxing in the Hot Tub! Ready to go back!

Dont miss the nearby Mark Hatfield Science Center!. Breakfast included, and warm cookies in the evening. Great location!
The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Gets better as time goes on, lots of updates.Annual trip location for 6 years.
.A great value for the money
Great views and quick access to the beach, free breakfast and good restaurants nearby.

Not impressed by Georgies. The breakfast is included and it wasnt just cold cereal. They also have free internet which was quite nice. I would go back in a second.Great View
I loved that all the rooms have an ocean view with a balcony! It was so nice to just have the patio door open listening to the ocean all night.
. I would stay with them again. When I informed them, they were very nice and offered a discount on my next stay. They fixed a problem for us
The room was clean and very nice with the exception that the couch smelled like skunk when you sat on it.
. If staying in Newport, this is the hotel I would recommend. Also lots of good restaurants close by. We stayed for four days so I feel like we got a good feel for the service and everything was really great. The hotel was newly remodeled, very clean, very friendly staff, I felt right at home the first day. I was extremely satisfied with our choice.Newly remodeled hotel - great place to stay
I reviewed all the hotels in Newport OR and found this one to be the most promising.

Travelers tip on saving a few bucks
Fresh-baked cookies at night and complimentary coffee and tea make a nice way to end the day and save you on dessert at a restaurant. Very friendly desk help. There was no problem getting extra soap and shampoo. Pool was inconveniently located and we had to go next door to get down to the beach, but still a great place to stay. Great view of the ocean.A wonderful place to relax!
Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable.
. Would recommend and would go there second time. We spent most of our times sitting on the balcony watching the ocean (due to bad weather condition though). The ocean is right in front of you.Nice Hotel
One thing most I liked about this hotel is its location.
. Handy parking, under hotel Con: Only one slow elevator. Clean.Nice, Overlooks beach
Pleasant, helpful staff, Nice breakfast(but crowded) Pro: Nice ocean viewrooms.
. The rooms are updated and the beds are the best anywhere. The new breakfast room is great, with lots to eat. They have the best rooms with the best price.Best hotel on the coast
We love this hotel.
. I would stay there again. Food choices were minimal and cold, and the trash cans were overflowing. This was the only part of our stay that was a disappointment. The breakfast buffet, included, is a waste of time. We didnt use the fireplace since it was warm, but I would love to go back when its cold, it would be very romantic. It was stuffy and we needed to open the slider to get some air circulation. Our room was very clean.Good choice
very nice hotel in a great location.
. We will come back to this hotel next time we are in Newport. Good breakfast but i wish they have more healthy choices for bread and maybe cheese. Nice comfortable and clean rooms. Gorgeous ocean view.Great water front hotel for the price
Great helpful stuff.
. Hghly recommended restaurant than Georgies.
Travelers tip on dining
Dont forget to ask front Desk agent where the "LOCAL OCEAN" restaurant is located - this is a very good restaurant with reasonable price(healthy foods - gourmet foods).... We will consider this hotel on our next visit. Not a fancy hotel but we enjoyed our stay here. Unlimited coffee and Hot tea 24/7. Complimentary freshly baked cookies in the afternoon and you can even take some to your room for a midnight snacks. Will consider this on our next visit
Our accomodation has a complimentary continental breakfast but bacon, sausages and eggs are also available for free.
room was AMAZING.Great time
close to the beach, good service, breakfast was meh but not a huge deal.
