. The Strip is less than 10 minutes drive away.
Travelers tip on shopping
The Las Vegas Shopping Outlet is a few minutes drive away. I woke up as soon as the sun was up because there were no drapes which also explains why the room was not very cold because the blinds allowed the sweltering Vegas heat into the room. The hotel could use newer blinds or even install thick draperies. The rest of the stay was pleasant. The receptionist sent a repair man within 5 minutes to fix the problem. A quick phone call to the front desk is all it took.Excellent Value For The Price
At first, I thought our stay would be unpleasant because the room A/C was not cooling.
Emerald Suites Management, General Manager. We hope you would be willing to give Emerald Suites another try. We appreciate your comments as it helps us to make improvements where necessary. Again, I do appologize for any inconvienience you may have had. As a general practice, we do wait untill 9am to start serviceing rooms as to not bother people. Additionally, I would like to appologize if you were woken up by our housekeepers. This does require a wired connection as we do not offer wireless. In regards to the internet, we do offer free internet access in all our guest rooms. We do offer a complementary shuttle that runs to the strip on the even hours until 10pm. I wanted to point out that we are about 4 miles south of the main "Strip".
Comment from the hotels management
I appologize that you were not completely satisfied with your stay. Their maids did an OK job of cleaning but unless you put out a do not bother me sign they will wake you early to clean your room. I cant believe they have such poor customer service. I finally complained a 4th time and someone said I needed the cable because they didnt have good Wi-Fi. I had told them 3 times when asked how I was accessing the internet I had wi-fi and and all they said was "well it depends on how many people are using the internet on how fast it will be".Poor Service
Overall not a bad place to stay but unless you have a car you are far from "The Strip" I also had to ask many times about the internet which was very important to my trip before someone actually told me I needed a cable which they finally supplied to me to hook direct to my computer.
... I would not go back there again. We had to go to the front office everytime we needed new towels. Extremely bad service. We left, came back, and the room was still how we left it. We were told the maids will be to our room shortly to clean. Our room phone did not work so we had to call room service from our cell phones. We stayed for three nights and the maid did not clean our room once. We complained and were sent to a different room but it took at least eight hours for the room to cool down. It was 110 degrees outside and the AC in our room did not even work. This time, however, I had a horrible experience. My previous stay was satisfactory.
This is my second time at this hotel...Plus AC did not work...Bad service.
. We checked in at midnight in July and outside was 96 degrees but inside the room was 110 degrees and it took 3 hours for the A/C to have any effect.Good hotel for the price
Wish they would have the A/C going in the rooms prior to arrival if reservation was made.
. Staff responded quickly when I notified them that the hair dryer in the room didnt work.Great Room for the Price!
Clean, spacious room with comfortable bed.
. The price was great but I guess Im used to staying at more accomadating suites. My suggestions would be to place younger children and families on the lower floor, for future guests. We also had to complain about the upstairs neighbors as it seemed that the kids were jumping all over the floor. My AC had gone out in the room and it was suggested (after it was working) to leave the cover off by I had a young toddler and he would have wated to play with it.Cheap bang for th ebuck
A little disappointed there was no free or continental breakfast.
Travelers tip for business travelers
Not the greatest motel to say the least. If you dont want to be next to a casino or anything remotely decent, stay here. It has a refrigerator which is a plus.Very Basic Room
Its nothing to brag about and its over priced.
Bad Experience!Never staying at this hotel again!.After 3hours I finally got towels so that I can shower and my family as well.THAT WAS EMBARASSING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The day I was gonna check out I called room service and front desk like 20 times. It turns out that someone was already staying there.! Then when he finally gave me my room number he gave a wrong one.! First of all the check in person was confused like he has never worked there before..However,since this was a last minute trip we(my family) stayed here.Good price but not good customer service!
ok dont get me wrong i love staying at the EMERALD SUITES,but I usually stay at the ones in Cameron Blvd by THE ORLEANS hotel.
If all you are going to do is sleep in your room, it is fine, but if you are looking to enjoy features, forget it!!!!!. The outside jacuzzi was used for a kiddie pool, so that was no good. The pool was way way too small for as many rooms they have. They moved us from a 3rd floor room near the office with a view to a second floor 2 bdr with no view. Maintence came and got going again, but after 6 hours, the bedroom was still around 90 deg with an outside temp of 118 deg it was hot. We turned on the a/c it worked for a few min then quit. The tv in the bedroom wouldnt turn up either. The room was clean but the shower rod was broke and laying in the tub.Not Impressed!!!
When we checked in, everything seemed fine.
. If youre looking to experience Vegas as a wild touristy adventure with super convenient proximity to the night life of the strip, get a different place or a rental car and a DD. Give it a try and tell them I sent you & suggest they reward me accordingly!! ;)
Bring your own ethernet cable, any kitchen items needed to prepare food ie: pots pans etc. Few drawbacks & many positives. Rental car locations are close as well. Theres a shuttle to & from LAS airport which is only minutes away. Im pleased overall, which is why I stay there very often for usually at least a week at a time, monthly. Most the staff is very friendly & helpful. This is seriously obnoxious, probably my biggest gripe. By 10 when its finally cool enough to want to soak in the hot tub & or a refreshing evening swim, both are closed. a long one.. I suggest bringing your own. They may provide a short cable(2-5 feet)if you ask nice. The free internet is ethernet only, the jack being tucked behind the living room TV.yet there is an oven, stove & dishwasher, defeating the point of having them if you cant use them! Cable is basic at best w/no menu or guide so you flip through channels aimlessly hoping to get lucky.. Its lacking in the standard provided extended stay amenities like pots or pans of any type, dishwasher soap. Under a mile to South Point & 3 to Green Valley. Casino & night life is less than 4 miles to Mandalay Bay & the start of the strip. Lots of restaurants & shopping w/in 2 miles. A liquor store across the street. Not much w/in close walking distance for food. Rarely hear the neighbors, & when were loud, no complaints. Rooms are quite sound proof. Its mellow, w/o drama or trouble. should get a discount by now!!
I stay in a one bedroom king suite..Stay there very frequently.
. I like the fact that its not far from a selection of restaurants, though. Id stay again, although I normally prefer to be closer to the strip. It worked for us, though, especially considering the fact we only were there really for sleeping, showering, and a little bit of TV watching, basically.A reasonable spot for the price
The bedroom, itself, was a little small for two guys like my friend and I.
. Great for the family. Close to the outlets. Love the free internet too. downside the TV stations are limited... The room was clean. Although it is about 10 mins from the strip, it was well worth the price.Great price
This was our second time at the Emerald Suites.
Lots of long term people live here, outdoor surroundings not too pleasant
Travelers tip on saving a few bucks
penny slots are located at South Point. Closest hotel is the South Point. However the strip is a ways off.Excellent price for last minute wknd adventure
Hotel is a suite which has been taken care of.
Below average and rates are too high for the return in quality.
clean rooms, full kitchen,nice place.
Travelers tip on shopping
It was close to the outlet mall. It was just off the stripe and not to far from the stipe. Over all this was not a bad place to stay in Las Vegas. The milk I bought did spoil and my son did get sick off of the spoil milk. The hotel kept the temperature inside the refrigerator on one which it should of been on three or higher. I did not check the refrigerator temperature when I put my grocgery in it. I will say make sure you check the refrigerator temperature. It was great to be able to get up in the morning and cook breakfast on the stove.Great Kitchen
I would say the kitchen was a great plus for my son and I.
. You should have a car its out a distance to far to walk to strip area. I usually go to vegas for 2-4 weeks and now this is more homey than a strip hotel.Free wireless full kitchen good housekeeping. Has a flat screen in front room and tv in the bedroom. Its a neat and clean apartment
Ive stayed 3 times in a 1 bedroom.
. The people at the desk were very helpful.Affordable place to stay near the strip
The shuttle service was a little difficult to use but it is available.
. This Emerald is about 3 miles south of the strip and a cab could get pricy unless you are renting a car.
Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay
If you want to be close to the strip then stay at the other Emerald by The Orleans casino. I highly recommend Emerald and plan to stay there again. I never did check out the pool so I cant answer to that. It was very comfortable! They even have a shuttle that will take you to and from the airport. A seperate bedroom and all the amenities of home.Highly recommend!!!! A+!!!!
I was a little concerned when we first pulled in but once in the room, or suite as I would call it, it was wonderful.
Will stay at this hotel everytime we travel to Las Vegas!.Very Accomodating!
Traveling with a handicapped person, this hotel provided us with an easily accessible room with all the amenities one could want including a huge shower which allowed easy transfer from a wheelchair.
.Too far from the action
The hotel was okay for the price, but it was quite far from the action on the Strip.
Overall is allright except from the bedroom you can hear your next door neighbor talking, laughing and fighting even pass midnight when you tried to get some sleep.
. Large laundry facility and clean pool area. Nice and clean local casino in case you dont want to go on strip. Has a stove, frig and microwave, sink and coffee maker, be sure to get pots and pans at front desk. Close in the vincinty of eating place, gas station, cvs pharmacy.Great for the bucks, the strip is about a 10 min drive
Hotel was clean, beds and pillows very comfortable.
. We moved to a different room and that one was a little better but still not what we had expected. The couch had stains, the beds were dirty and in desperate need of replacement, the restroom wasnt very clean and the vertical blinds did not close properly and were in bad shape with different size and color slats. However, as soon as we walked into our room we were very disappointed. The lobby and the exterior of the property are very nicely maintained. When we arrived the registration desk staff was very nice.
We really had high hopes after reading so many good reviews and checking out the pictures and whatnot...High Hopes.
