. Other than that, our stay was fine.the hallways didnt smell the freshest, and our taxi had a difficult time finding the hotel.... Only 2 things that werent so great. This hotel is a decent place to stay. The front desk staff were very friendly & helpful. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. By no means was it a luxury hotel, but it did serve its purpose.Very friendly & helpful staff
We stayed in this hotel the night before our cruise.
. This saves the $20/day parking charge at the port.
Travelers tip on saving a few bucks
You may leave your car at the hotel and take a taxi or shuttle to the port. Thank goodness I had a street address. Upon our return, the taxi did not know the location of our hotel. The front desk staff offers a shuttle to the cruise port, but suggested that with three of us traveling, a taxi would be cheaper. Since it was only an overnight stay, this was OK.Good Cruise Location
My major complaints were that the beds were hard and a nonsoking room did smell of smoke.
. It takes excellent pics if you need a last minute digital camera. Walgreens carries a great GE digital camera that i used on our cruise.

Publix and Walgreens across the street. Also, the hotel is right as you get into downtown and the area looks somewhat unsafe. My only complaint would be that the lobby had a really weird odor that was overwhelming. There was no problem with loudness either (what a blessing considering we were on the first floor facing the parking lot. The room was clean enough, there was a little dirt in places, but nothing a little clorox couldnt cure. I had a reservation for a room with one bed, but needed two beds and they gave me what i wanted, no questions asked. Although they were busy (Memorial day weekend), i was helped in a timely fashion. The staff was helpful. I must say i was satisfied with my experience.Satisfactory Experience
My stay at the Brickell Port of Miami was brief (overnight).

Travelers tip on saving a few bucks
There is a Publix and Walgreens at walking distance, so you can save on the food. Do not have a "beach" view but is close to south beach and bay side, you need to have a car to more around. Nobody bothered us and it was clean .
We were not sure about the place but it have a perfect location , close to everything. The place was clean and the location was perfect .
. We wouldnt recommend this to anyone no matter what the cost. Despite asking for a taxi one hour prior to the time we needed it, the taxi didnt arrive until 45 minutes after we called for it -- we think they wanted us to use their shuttle service at 4 times the cost of a taxi. My children couldnt believe we would make them stay in such a place. We came in after midnight and had to leave by 9 am, or we would have demanded a refund and found another place to stay. Management did nothing to compensate us. The promised shampoo, hairdryer, etc were nowhere to be found.Stinky, Stinky, Stinky!!!!!!
We reserved a non-smoking room, but it stunk like a used ashtray.
Wouldnt go back. Extremely uncomfortable mattress and pillows. Our room was OK but very noisy as it was facing the freeway. Not good
I wasnt expecting too much from this hotel and was only staying for two nights, but I still was disappointed.
. Overall would use this hotel again for same purpose.wish there had been... No hair dryer in bathroom. Room clean & bed comfortable. Desk helpful & friendly. Walgreens across the street. Not in the best part of town, but near enough (by car) to enjoy Port attractions & South Beach. But, pricewise, very reasonable for just an overnight stay before getting on a cruise ship.
Couldnt get into any of the "major" hotel chains because we waited too long to make reservations.K.O.
. Hats off to the staff there!

EZ FREE rail service to downtown Miami just 1 & 1/2 blocks away. I would recommend someone staying there - and I will again! EZ FREE rail service to downtown Miami just 1 & 1/2 blocks away.WOW!
The hotel was just great! Friendly service at the counter, friendly advice on transportation to downtown Miami, the room was clean, the room heating/cooling worked, the mini kitchen was nice, and I had clean linens.
.Convenient to Bayside at fair price
Reasonably priced and convenient to Metro-mover and Metro-rail stations.
Just another Hotel
Clerk were lacking friendliness.

if you have big plans they will do anything for you they had a coffee cart and i loved it. I want to thank them for being so kind i cant wait to go back I will go to that hotel over and over thank you expiedia. I would go back and recommed to anyone who wants a carefree and relaxing enviorment. They even stored our bagges for a couple of hours so we could explore the area until we boarded the ship at no charge. The only thing that would of topped it off would have been a continental breakfast. They were very friendly.
I thought it was great. It was better than i thought it would be.
. hotel dirty and rundown. waited 2 hours for a cab. hotel no where near teh port. There was no one at the desk who understood how to help. but when i got there they said or you should hav ebooked ahead.SUCKS
I was very disappointed as i called ahead to schedule a shuttle to port of miami and was told there was no need.
. It was very convient and the staff was very pleasant. Theres a market, gas station, and a CVS right across the street.Nice place to stay
It is about 15 minutes away from South Beach.
. But I wouldnt recommend this hotel for an extended vacation unless you have a car. It served its purpose for us, as we were just staying for one night before we left on a cruise. There was a pier about 6 blocks away but no beach access within walking distance.Nice inexpensive hotel
Hotel was nice but not real close to anything for a tourist.
Travelers tip on nightlife
free tram to the clubs and down town.LOVED THE HOTEL FRONT DESK WAS GREAT
hotel was fresh and great.
Will go back
We were very happy with the stay.
. Can save money by bringing supplies with you and feeding yourselves.
has a fridge, stove, kitchen sink, mirco, coffee maker. The room smelt of smoking but we were too tired to complain about it. A person came back to the room with us and we were shown that we had to jam the card key in hard for it to work. We had trouble using the key and had to go down to the front desk agian to get help with opening the door. Went to the desk again and was given a differant room that was a smoking room when we had requested non smoking. Very embarassing. Then the door opened by someone already inside the room. We were given the key to the room and we had trouble opening the door.Front desk mix up
No one at the front desk so walked around to find them in the kitchen.
