.NOT ON THE BEACH The hotel was very clean and check in was fast.



several dining/pub locations nearby, live bait is an awsome place and only cost $8 cab fare each way if yo uplan to drink.Cheap and nice nice hotel, clean and spacious rooms, it is about a block from the beach but the hotel offers a free shuttle to the boardwalk if you are too lazy to walk a block or have a massive cooler with you.



. The public beach area is across the highway and down about one block. I would no doubt stay again and recommend others do the same. It was very a convenient location to the beach. The hotel was very clean. The room was very, very nice. The staff was great.Very, very nice.



. Travelers tip on dining Drive to nearby Foley, Alabama and have lunch at the Gift Horse Restaurant - excellent buffet of Southern cuisine in an elegant setting and surprisingly inexpensive. We were in town to see Bob Dylan and there’s no reason I can see to go back to Orange Beach (unless he returns). I’d say pay the extra bucks and stay at a hotel on the beach or just go some place else if you want a beach experience. Their "shuttle service to the beach" is one golf cart so there’s a lot of waiting. Missing soap/shampoo etc in the bathroom, telephone didn’t work - luckily we had cell phones with us.Lackluster The view from our expensive 3rd storyroom was the back of some stores in a strip mall - you can’t even see the Gulf.



. Other than that the hotel was very nice. In order to get to the beach you have to walk down the street and cross the busy street.Great Place to Stay This hotel was a great place to stay, however it is a little further from the beach than I would have liked.
