    Very impressed

We just recently stayed at Gaylord Opryland and it was one of the nicest places we have stayed. Beautiful facilities and the employees were very friendly and helpful. The bus/shuttle service is excellent. We would definitely stay there again.

    great hotel

    Don’t miss it!

I was a native Californian touring the South for the first time. Booked the Gaylord Opryland expecting a heavy dose of Heehaw kitsch. Instead, it’s beautiful and beautifully run. Loved the exquisitely manicured atrium gardens. Hotel food options are extensive but pricey, of course. Quite an experience.

    Travelers tip on local attractions

Don’t waste your time and money on the General Jackson steamboat dinner show.

There is a new and exciting view at every turn while strolling through the Garden Areas. Everything is fresh and well displayed. the pathways are neat and clean. The Resturants are well staffed with knowledgeable employees. We are excited about a future trip to Gaylord Opryland

    Travelers tip on nightlife

We visited the Jack Daniels Saloon and was greeted by several employees who served and talked with us. One even took our photo. Real personable Folks there.

    Not going back

I expected much more from this hotel than they delivered. Got in late after a 4 hour flight delay, then had to wait 25 minutes to check in. They gave us a room with twin beds although Expedia specifically stated King. That took a few minutes to correct. Was given a map to find the room. The hotel is HUGE. Lots of plants, waterfalls, etc. very nice. But extremely expensive with little service. Waited over 45 minutes to get a burger at 9:30 at night from the sports bar. After getting the expensive tab, couldn’t find the waitress again so signed it and left. Had to call service the next night to get room cleaned since they didn’t clean it, although we were out of the room for over 6 hours. Had to pay $20 for self-park along with a $15 "Resort Fee" (plus tax), which I thought was too expensive since the resort fee got us bottled water. Bed was hard and couldn’t sleep in it, so was exhausted by end of trip. Overall, hotel is something to see, but we will never stay there again.

    Can’t wait to go back

I was so impressed with the hotel and their staff that I can’t wait to go back. My sister and her husband are now going for the holiday just because of our experience and pictures. The rooms were very clean and comfortable even though we did not stay in it that much. The staff were so nice and courteous that they make you feel at home.

Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay

It may cost more to stay at the Gaylord Hotel but it is worth the price through the staff, rooms, food and view. Always something to do or see.

    Very impressive.

I was very imopressed with this hotel! Wonderful surroundings - gardens, water falls, pools, restaurants, food, club. The hotel is an attraction in and of itself !! Walking distance to a great mall with additional quality restaurants and shops. Walk to the Grand Ole Opry and see a great show !

Beautiful Hotel at an Unbeautiful Price

The hotel was quite spectacular. Something every person should see at some point in their lives. Just be sure it is at a "wealthier point". Although lovely, it was very costly. At what we spent for an overnight visit, I would have expected more staff available for assistance. It is an immense hotel and there is not a staff member around to assist with locating things. You are left to find your way - wasting valuable time. I was also insulted that as a guest of the hotel, I had to pay nearly $20 to park. That should be a no cost item to a guest of a hotel. Don’t get me wrong, it was very nice and I do recommend anyone experiences it at least once. Great ’on campus’ spa, lounges and restaurants.

    First Class Hotel, Highly Recommend

The Gaylord Opryland is by far the best hotel we’ve ever stayed at. This place is amazing. Everyone that worked there was professional and friendly. Our Garden room had a spectacular view from the balcony terrace, overlooking the indoor atrium, at a wide variety of plants and even some waterfalls. The room was always kept clean and the beds comfortable. We would go back in a heartbeat!

    Travelers tip on recreational activities

Definitely make sure to see The Grand Ole Opry. If you would also like to something more unique, then go and visit Jack Daniels distillery in Lynchburg. It’s about an hour and a half from Nashville but it’s very interesting and well worth the drive.

    Exceptional experience!

This is the finest hotel we have ever stayed in. Through expedia we got an outstanding deal and had a wonderful experience. We laugh about the deal because one night we ate at their finest resturaunt and spent over 100$ a piece on dinner. It was worth it though and we would do it again! Our fourteen year old experienced five star living for the first time and it was grand to see it through his eyes. This hotel caters to all ages in the family. Great experience!!!

Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay

Plan an extra day. This hotel is so fabulous you dont need to leave it to go site seeing in the beautiful Nashville area.

    Gaylord Gala

My biz trip seemed more of a holiday between conference sessions due to the lush gardens within the three atria. Amazing! The environment set the tone of the stay and I never left the hotel ... all of my exploring was within the resort grounds, including dining, recreation, networking sessions, and gym workout. Luxury! Each staff member was friendly and knowledgeable about their area.

    Beautiful, but Not Enjoyable

I had heard that the Gaylord Opryland was nice, and it certainly was beautiful. But, as it was July and it was hot and humid outside, all the water features and lush gardens made the inside of the hotel just as humid as outside. As I was there for business and had to wear a tie and coat, I would break out into a sweat almost immediately. Further, they need to get their customer service act together. It took me 10 minutes to get a valet to park my car, it took over 30 minutes that night to get the car back, I had to stand in line for 20 minutes to check in. When I finally got to the front of the line, I mentioned the hassles so far and they said, "oh so sorry, let me get you a good room to make up for your inconvienince". Well, I would hate to see a bad room. My room overlooked a parking lot and and air conditioner and only had one elevator that serviced that area which often resulted in 5 minute waits. So, nice looking place, but not to the standards of a Gaylord property.

    We didn’t have a bed

We made our reservation weeks in advance and requested a king or queen bed and we had to take a room with a fold out couch. I could understand if we just showed up and asked for a room, but we made our reservation well in advance. we would love to go back sometime but I’m not going to pay That kind of money to sleep on a fold out couch.

    Great time!

    Very disappointed

In our experience, the condition of the room was definitely not worth the price we paid for it. Although it was clean, the room was certainly in need of a remodel or at least the repair of such small things as the toilet tissue holder so it would function properly and hold the tissue roll.
