Travelers tip for business travelers
Before you get to Las Vegas, search for places with Free WiFi if you dont want to pay $10-$15 a day at the hotels. Ive stayed at many other places in Las Vegas, and this hotel puts you close to the action for a great price. My only complaint is the high speed internet was way over-priced, which can really add to the cost of the room. There is a LOT of water pressure in the shower. The bed was comfy. The room was clean and not a bad size.) for 4-5 nights. The total cost for the room for 2 weeks was less than a lot of places (Holiday Inn/etc.Not bad for the money
I stayed here in September 09 for 13 nights on a business trip and the room wasnt bad.
. We spent all of our time on the strip or at other hotels. It was just a place to sleep.Just a place to sleep
We chose this hotel because it was the cheapest one available.

In house there are 6 or six place to eat and also a gift shop for basic needs and snacks. We will stay here again anytime. Housekeeping did us some favors in a very timley fashon. The buffet was one of the best and resonable.Great Weekend for a Wedding
Our Group of 13 stayed 3 nights at the Gold Coast and we were all treated very well.

Travelers tip on dining
El Cortez still a good place for dinner. Not Impressed
Hotel is ageing and need updating.
.
There are excellent bowling specials offered at late hours. I felt comfortable playing there. The Sportsbook and gaming area werent bad. The pool and workout area are right next to each other which is convenient. I thought the pool was a bit small but the workout facility was pretty decent. There is a chinese dim sum that is excellent and also a Fridays. The food options are good. I would recommend it for a short stay (one night). If you want multiple rooms, keep in mind that there are no connecting rooms. The rooms are a bit small and old.Ok, but not great
We tried the Gold Coast because of a midweek special.
. The breakfast buffet is awesome - the food is fresh and plenty of variety. We were pleasantly surprised. It was more manageable walking from the entrance to our room.Great place to stay
Just a few minutes off the strip - it is not a huge place like most of the places on the strip.
LAS VEGAS 09
HOTEL WAS VERY NICE!!!.
. Will probably stay again. Love the restaurants in the building. Premium room for a VERY reasonable price.Good Place to Stay
Stayed here before.
. The only thing that would improve the room would be a mini fridge. Loved having the opportunity to make my own coffee. Liked is much better than the older rooms - the shower was fabulous! The room was clean and comfortable.Gold Coast is still a gem
I had the opportunity to stay in one of the renovated rooms.
. Cheap rates. Employees were friendly & helpful. Id stay there again. Very clean.
I really liked this place.Nice place to stay.
.Good hotel at cheap price
All the basic necessities were met to more than our expectation.

Make sure you check out the free shuttle bus!.Wonderful Experience!
I have been to Las Vegas more times than I can count but I have not been more comfortable or better taken care of! My room was immaculate and the hotel staff was excellent from check-in through check-out! The restaurants were extremely clean and accommodating! I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Las Vegas-I plan to stay there again.
A stand up shower with a glass partition instead of an old shower with a shower curtain :). The upgraded rooms have plush top beds, dark wood trim throughout the room and most importantly the bathrooms are redone. The older rooms feel like cheap hotel rooms. You are not going to see lots of hot guys/girls at the pool :)

Definitely go for the premium room." This is definitely not the happening place to be in Vegas. Decent pool and jacuzzi Cons: Older, mellow crowd (this may also be a plus) Not a "scene. Pluses: Inexpensive! Clean, comfortable rooms (the premium rooms are worth the upgrade!) Close to the Rio and The Palms Cheap cab ride to the heart of the strip Cheap gaming, TGIF in house, half price appetizers 24/7. Now that they have remodeled some of the rooms Im a bigger fan! We stayed comfortably and cheap at the Gold Coast and walked across the street to the Rio and the Palms when we wanted to join the action.Best deal near the strip!
I have been a fan of staying at the Gold Coast for a while.
. Only a short shuttle ride down Flamingo gets you to the center of the strip where you can cross the street to Ballys and grab a 73oz beer for $12 out front to start your night.
Travelers tip on nightlife
Located across the street from the Palms and its hot clubs makes for a great time and a short safe walk home. I will definitely go back and let people know about this little gem called the Gold Coast just off the strip. Definitely enjoy half off Happy Hour in TGI Fridays located in the Casino which is actually every hour of the day as long as you are eating or drinking in the bar area. Food was great and well priced. I found the bed to be a little uncomfortable and the sheets to be both a little dirty and not quite to my standard expectation for a hotel room. The service at check in and from room service to the cleaning staff exceeded my expectations and was very friendly and most useful. The room upgrade to the contemporary look was worth it as the look of the older rooms felt more like Reno than Vegas. The location and price make it worth every cent and then some. Will return soon!
Overall I really enjoyed my stay at the Gold Coast.Great economical choice off the strip close to the center of the strip.
. Great value for the price.Very nice and reasonably priced hotel
Really enjoyed our stay.
. Also, its easy to get from the covered parking lot to the registration desk and the rooms; no need to walks miles and miles. It is off the Strip so I can avoid traffic tie ups.Convenient
I always like staying here.
customer service at the front desk are not friendly. Not impressed
ask for room of two double beds, got one queen bed instead.
I recommend it, for sure!. My boyfriend and I got a GREAT deal!!!!!! There was a free shuttle to the strip, so transportation was never a problem.Gold Coast was GREAT
This hotel was a GREAT place to stay.
. We will definitely go back. It was nice to be able to walk over to Rio and the Palms. The buffet was decent compared to most.great food and service.. TGIF was the best part. The bed and pillows were nice.
We were really impressed with the room for the low price we paid, it was suppose to be upgraded, but we got the standard room...Great Deal.
. In a room with two beds, you need to have two queen size beds.Very satisfied
The beds were quite small.
. I felt it was a really great value. Otherwise, everything was great.m. There was some corridor noise in the wee hours, but the only real annoyance was children racing up and down the hallway at 8 a. The pool area and fitness center were quiet, clean, and very nice when I visited. I slept great, bed very comfortable. The location just off the Strip was perfect for me.Good value, great location
I stayed at the Gold Coast for six nights in September and was very pleased with the hotel.
.Disappointed
bugs in room, loud noise from the street not to mention people screaming in the hall in the middle of the night.
. Not having to rent a taxi to get there saved alot of money. It was a good room for the price and the shuttle service from the hotel to the strip was great.

The rooms were updated in the premium suite we stayed in and were very nice. We were there to enjoy the strip and not gamble so we did not do all that much gambling.Good hotel for price!
Hotel overall was great with restaurants right there for you to choose from and lots of machines to gamble at if youre into that.
.
Close to strip and Chinatown.Comfortable hotel.
. Very reasonable price for a nice room. Not impressed
The first room - the shower head broke because of too much water pressure, so we asked to be moved to another room on the 8th floor.
