. Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay Get show tickets at one of the Tics 4 2nite Kiosks before 11 AM for 50% off and good selection. All in all a nice time in Vegas at the GN. Cost was very reasonable and even though we all lost some on the slots we were able to play them several hours per day and not be out too much. Shopping at the new Outlets was a whole day for wife and her bro and Sis who went along on trip. Loved the outside bar’s set up along Fremont and watching the shows set up on the street, + plus just people watching on the street. All kins of food and drink available both in the GN or outside. Hotel was very nice , great location downtown with easy access.Great for Downtown Fremont St.

There are many places to eat downtown, so take your time and pick & choose!. Don’t both with Tony Roma’s - it’s nothing special. We would definitely return to the Golden Nugget on our next trip to Las Vegas! Travelers tip on dining The buffet at the Fremont is outstanding for breakfast, as is the one at the Golden Nugget. Staff was very polite and helpful, and service was great. We asked for a room in a quiet location and received it - couldn’t hear any noise from the downtown. Our room was beautifully appointed in Tuscan colors, had a very comfortabale bed and wide screen TV. We ate at two of the five restaurants, shopped in the boutique, sat out by the pool, and gambled at the bars in the casino. The Golden Nugget is great! From check-in to check-out, the Golden Nugget was a great experience! Located on Fremont, in the heart of the downtown action, it is a beautiful property with every convenience, including a great casino.

. Overall a great stay. Weekend prices are higher especially at the buffet. A lot of the great deals are Sun thru Thurs. The only thing is watch your prices. The service was fantastic, the rooms were immaculate, the food was great, and the salon was very relaxing and professional.Golden Stay My wife and I went to Vegas for our 25th anniversary, and we had a great stay at the Golden Nugget.

. Pick up the car at the Airport center - it is much cheaper (and much faster) than trying to rent a car at one of the hotels. Travelers tip on saving a few bucks If you have 4 or more people in your group, it is cheaper to get around if you rent a car. Overall, it was a nice place to stay, very clean, courteous staff, and parking was convenient to our room location (we could get to our car without having to walk all the way through the casino. The pool area was way too crowded to be fun, but we found other things to do. The buffet was great but they charged my credit card twice for the same lunch so I am having to try to get that corrected. All good except the pool was too crowded The hotel check in was quite easy and we were happy that they were able to accommodate our group in 2 rooms located across the hall from each other.

Travelers tip on dining I recommend The Golden Nuggets Buffet to all. Thank you. We are looking forward to returning in 2010. The service was great. Everything was perfect. That was the best hotel in vegas that i ever stay in.I will return in 2010 for sure , god willing.

Travelers tip on nightlife Your right on Fremont street, the night there is a hoot!.You’ll love it there..... You need to find out for yourself and book a room. The rooms don’t have an odor that is unpleasant, they smell fresh and clean. The rooms are clean and decorated that make you feel important and welcome. I will stay there every time I return to Las Vegas.I will always stay at the Golden Nugget, no place else!!! This is the place for comfort and relaxing.

. Convenient to everything in old downtown without the traffic of the Strip.Great Hotel Hotel was great and staff was great.

The pool the pool was really great and we love the fremont street location.

. I’d stay there again if I go back. The night time show is great and well worth seeing. A quick bus ride will get you there if you desire that. Great places to eat and all other casinos our next door not like the strip. The rug in our room was due for a time change but other wise the room was comfortable.Nice place to stay The hotel was nice and the rooms OK.

Will stay there again definetly!. Other than that though, EXCELLENT hotel. I didnt go down there until the second day, but if I had known how great it was I wouldve spent my whole trip there! Only complaint is when we went to check out, the staff had kindly held our bags for us while we shopped until it was time to go to the airport, but when we went to get them she said someone would bring them around and we had to wait a good 20 mins until we finally were able to get another person to bring them for us. The pool was my absolute favorite part though. Comfortable beds, nice staff.Amazing Pool!!!!! Had a great stay.

. This makes your stay very pleasant. they are helpful whether you are in their restaurants or their rooms. the employees are all very nice and have pleasant personalities. Can’t wait to go back very nice comfortable hotel.

. Probably will not stay there again even though it is a beautiful hotel. Can’t believe that we never received an apology or even a "sorry for the inconvenience" from the hotel. He tightened the bolts that were not tightened when it was replaced the first night.housekeeping replaced that and in the morning another maintenance man came to recheck the AC--(it was a very annoying night listening to the AC making a racket)...also the remote to the TV did not work... The next evening when we returned the AC was rattling to the pont of annoyance.--just wanted to go to bed and sleep. Desk sent a maintenance man who replaced it--we were tired from the flight and our first night on Fremont St.turned up AC but when we returned later that evening the AC was not working... When we arrived the room was warm.Disappointed Very disappointed since this was supposed to be a 4****.

Downtown Las Vegas Best Hotel This hotel is obviously the "best hotel in downtown las vegas.

. They are all underneath the Fulton Street cover area so very close to Golden Nugget. If you are after alcoholic beverages, there are hotels in the downtown area that offer cheaper prices than the Golden Nugget. They seemed to run around every 10-15 minutes or so. These run pretty regularly and the 24 hour pass was relatively cheap at $7 for unlimited rides in that time frame. Travelers tip on saving a few bucks It is only a short walk to the bus stop to catch the Deuce Bus down to the strip. We will definitely stay here again in the future if the opportunity arose and would recommend it to others also. A great variety of foods to choose from. We also ate at the buffet a couple of times and found this to be good value for money. Especially being able to slide right through it! We were always greeted and assisted by staff in a friendly way. The pool area is wonderful - lots of chairs available and the new fish tank feature is really cool. Our first time to the downtown area which we really enjoyed.Excellent value for money My husband and I were extremely happy with staying at this hotel.

. That was crazy! All in all, we had a great stay. We also woke up to a crickett on my husbands pillow. Thankfully, most people don’t go to Vegas to sleep. There is a very loud motor that runs all night. We were on the South Tower and if you are a light sleeper, this is not the place for you.Great Stay The Golden Nugget was great.

. The pool was great we had fun. All around it was a nice stay and the food at the hotel was very good. The check-in clerk was kind of rude and didnt get are room right at first.Very nice The room was nice but there was a dirty wash cloth on the bathroom floor when we got there.

. Everything else was without any complaints. Buffet was ok, not great, but there are many options downtown. The Golden Nugget is the best place to stay if you are considering downtown. We hadn’t stayed downtown in years and were impressed at the changes. Great location; downtown is great.Great value! Staff was wonderful & friendly.

. Enjoyed the pool area.Best Hotel in Downtown Las Vegas Everything about the hotel was top notch.

Travelers tip GREAT GETAWAY !. I enjoied visit to the strip but enjoied the layed back atmosphere of downtown and the casino was great.Well satisfied will stay there again ! Read lots of reviews on the net,but went with my own choice and I am glad I did.

.Already making plans on a return trip in 2010 I give this hotel 5 stars.

. The pool area is great. Starbucks on site for a fee. I Got used to hotels having it, so I didn’t look for that feature. No coffee in the room was a disapointment. Have to see it to believe it.Nice Comfortable King Bed Fremont Street hotel, There is a neat show on Fremont Street, in the steet, at nite, on the overhead screens.

. We will not go back to that hotel again. We finally got our king size bed next day but it was also the last night. So we ended up sleeping in double queen size bed room again.I came back later that night but was told they dont have any king room (again!) , my spouse was so mad and we almost checked out. I came back at 1: 00 next day and after waiting in long line, i was told the room is not ready and was told came back later. I was promised a king-size bed room tomorrow was given priority card (whatever it is) and was told to come back between 12 and 4pm tomorrow. I called and confirmed couple hours before arriving but when arrived I was told king size bed room are all taken (what the point of reservation AND confirm anyway) so we have to take a double queen bed room. I booked a king-size bed room for 3 nights. Disappointed with the way the hotel is managed.I should have stayed at the Strip. The H2O tank inside hotel is pretty nice but its always full of people and kids.Besides the giant screen they have on Fremont street and below average band playing music at night , there are nothing else to see.Dissapointed! the hotel is in Fremont street but Fremont street experience is a little bit exaggerated.

. You are so close to everything,it is perfect place for everyone.Make sure to chech out the hudge fish tank in the pool area.I recamend this place to anyone. You are close to the river walk or the taxi’.The best part is it is afordable to stay there. The hotel has it all and the shows are real good as well. The staff was so nice and helpful.Las Vegas’ fine Hotel We stay’d there for a few days and it was wonderful.

. The deli restaurant has the best banana cream pie. Travelers tip on dining The buffet is great anytime. Access to Freemont was one of the reasons I stayed--very convenient. Watched the sharks for hours--very relaxing. The pool area was small, but nice and the shark tank/ride was amazing. The Gordie Brown show lived up to it’s expectations. The buffet was great. I liked the quiet of the quarters area.Lives up to reputation My stay was pleasant.

. I think this is the nicest hotel downtown. We like the Golden nugget pool. No problems with the room. The rooms were very nice and clean and the service was good.Great Stay at the Nugget We stayed in the south tower high floor rooms which have recently been renovated with new bedding and large flat screen TVs.
