. If you want a spot by the embers at night, get there early or you’ll never get one. You might as well pay an extra few bucks and play indoors. Travelers tip on recreational activities Don’t waste your money on the outdoor tennis courts, they’re in pretty bad shape and not level. GOOD LUCK! Al, the golf teaching pro, is great... And if you use a walker, cane or, God forbid, a wheelchair. If you tend to pack a lot, you’ll be challenged by the stairways if you’re staying on the 3rd floor. There are NO elevators or ramps in the guest wings, however, so plan accordingly.Great, provided you have no mobility problems This is a great property with nice, spacious rooms, courteous staff and a very relaxing feel.



. Also had a great breakfast buffet Sun morning. We go to Lake Geneva often(which is a couple blocks away from resort) and also to Alpine Vally for concerts, will definitley go back. Did not miss staying right on Lake Geneva for the resort property was so peaceful and pretty We requested a King on line and none were left, but the receptionist made it up to us with an upgrade to a small lake and pool view. I believe this was the old Playboy Club back in the day. We only stayed one night and wished we could have stayed longer to see more of its expansive grounds.Great Location Unexpected luxury for Wisconsin.



Travelers tip on dining Try the tasters menu at the Italian Restaurant Price is great for what you get. The restaurants had perfect service and magnificent food Anytime we feel like visiting Lake Geneva, we will return to this resort. The room was clean with a beautiful view of the 18th green which has a man made lake with three fountains.We will return My wife and I enjoyed three relaxing days at this beautiful resort.



.Classy and relaxing atmosphere I loved The Grand Geneva Resort! The staff was friendly and very helpful, and the restaurants and lounges were impeccable! The golf course was well maintained and I had a great time.



.so for all that trouble, you might as well stay in your own big city :)..traffic was bad going there, in the city, and coming back... Travelers tip on dining I was dissappointed with the restaurants in lake geneva, Chicago has much better, cheaper restaurants and a better lake, many more beaches. But if not, you’ll get a much nicer and bigger room at a Best Western or Holiday Inn, and you’ll even get a complimentary breakfast, for less than half the price of this hotel.Dissappointed with quality of the rooms If you’re a golfer, this is the perfect place for you.



Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay Ask for a golf course view!!. The rooms were okay, the beds were to soft, but that could be a personal preference. The service was wonderful.Great service, okay rooms We stayed there May 2008, it was nice, but we did not like the condition of our first room, we called the front desk and they immediately changed our room.



Overall, however, great restaurants, great room (amazing golf course views), and a great weekend getaway!. The hotel itself is very nice, though starting to look a bit dated.m. We checked in at the usual check-in time of 4 p. Despite the fact that we had requested it two days in advance, and were told we could check in early, the staff at the front desk was not as accomodating or courteous as we would have expected.Beautiful property The grounds are gorgeous! We ran into a problem when we requested an early check-in.



. Standard room was really small for the price we pay. I love the view from our room. We ask for the room service for breakfast and they send for three times wrong food in our room! People at the front desk was not really nice and friendly. The room was guarantee for 4:00pm instead we have to wait more. The only problem was the hotel service.Nice but not in line with my expectations The hotel is nice and we ejoy to stay there.
