Travelers tip on local attractions
Everything is easily asccessible. The freeway was close, but you would not know it because the room was so quiet.Just right
The room was quiet, and the staff were pleasant.
. Give yourself plenty of time to visit as there is lots to see.
Travelers tip on recreational activities
The Portland Zoo was awesome. When we broke a glass, we actually had to vaccuum our own room. Housekeeping didnt show up the first day or two and we ran out of clean towels.) You probably couldnt get five strokes from one end to the other. (There is a hot tub, however. The pool is really small and unheated. The negatives - the pool and housekeeping. The omlettes are some of the best Ive eaten and I loved making malted waffles. Breakfast buffet is pricey, but worth it. This level of service continued through our entire stay. Although it was not the hotels fault, the front desk manager upgraded our room and gave us free passes to their breakfast buffet (the value of the buffet was almost as much as I paid for the room). I had a problem checking in due to a problem between Expedia and the hotel.Best Front Desk Staff Ever
Honestly, the front desk staff was the best Ive encountered (Ive stayed at five star hotels).
. Beaverton, a great place to go and the Garden Hilton Inn, a great place to stay.oh man, I felt like a kid in a candy store! My trip there will be unforgetable... The NIKE Headquaters, the NIKE employee store. The staff there were very helpful and answered all questions.great place to go! Enjoyed my time there, the hotel was very nice and clean...Awesome place to stay!
Beaverton, Oregon.
. In the instance of this trip, I found a screaming deal on Expedia and took it despite these shortcomings. Its a small thing, but its a detail I consider when choosing a hotel. There are amenities that are included at no additional fee at other hotels that are charged for here, such as the newspaper and breakfast.Pretty Good, But Not The Best
I love the Hilton hotels for comfort and cleanliness the more I stay at them.
.Outstanding staff and facilities
High quality accommodations, excellent and helpful staff, great breakfasts, large and comfortable rooms.
. Overall, I would recommend the hotel and will return if Im in that part of the country again. The hotel staff was pleasant, but a little slow in the daily maintenance of rooms. However, room service was not available 24/7 and not at all for breakfast. Good restaurants were within walking distance. Will Return
The overall stay was impressive.
. The only negative was the pool was cold and the water looked cloudy or we would have taken advantage of that feature. They have a good, reasonably priced breakfast buffet. The staff was very friendly and helpful.Very comfortable
We enjoyed our stay.
I highly recommend it!....
Travelers tip on dining
There was a small restaurant about a block from the hotel (I dont remember the name) that served an EXCELLENT breakfast!! Huge blueberry pancakes, fresh orange juice and wonderful service. I would definitely stay here again if I ever go back to Portland.Great nights sleep!
We stayed one night before driving to the coast for our vacation and I wish we could have stayed longer! Everyone at the hotel was so friendly and helpful and the bed was the most comfortable bed I have EVER slept in! The location was close to the highway (yet the room was very quiet) and close to lots of restaurants and shopping.
. (Great Burger). Excellent beds and pillows and a great restuarant next to it called Elmers.Replacing the carpets
It would have been nice to know that they would be replacing all the hall way carpets, but as always its a wounderful hotel to stay in.
If youre on the run and dont have time for breakfast, nice way to start off your day with the complimentary coffee/tea offered in the lobby every morning! Would definitely stay here again!.hotel personnel was nice enough to check on us when we decided that we didnt need the daily room cleaning by the maids... Great service.Pleasant stay
Clean, quiet hotel.
). Awesome! (Warning - they card you as you come in because they have a small bar inside as well. Loads of pinball machines and old school video games while a DJ spins 80s music.
Travelers tip on recreational activities
For those who grew up during the age of video games in the stand-up cabinets (1980s), check out "Ground Kontrol" in the Pearl district of downtown Portland. This was the perfect place for a traveler not looking for luxury per se, but wanting a clean and friendly place to stay. When we ate one night in their little restaurant, the waiter chatted with us and wrapped our leftovers in real dishware so that we could reheat them in the microwave in our room, without needing anything else. She also gave us advice on public transportation, and recommended certain cookies from the array of fresh baked ones that were at the front desk each evening (free)! Our room was very clean and comfy, looked like they had recently been remodeled/redecorated. A couple of days later in our stay, when we came down to go to the pool but had forgotten our room key to get in, she was at the front desk and said that although she would normally need ID to give us another key, she remembered us from check in.Nice friendly employees, clean and comfy
When we arrived, a very nice girl checked us in.
. Nice beds, quiet environment. It was a business trip and we got a good rest we needed.Nice place to stay
We like it very much.
They were great! Sometimes they also had water, which may seem pointless, but when the water in the room was $4 a bottle - free water is a better option!.
Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay
The hotel offered cookies nightly for the guests, which we would recommend you pick up on your way past reception heading to your room. Although it was small, not many other guests were using the pool facilities - so it was fine for our family. We did try the pool - which was also a nice relaxing place to go. It was a place to sleep, and for that it was fine. For the most part everything worked, although our beds were average in comfort, and we were in a room adjacent the lifts - which meant we heard every up and down made by other guests all night.Inexpensive and somewhat convenient
In general the room was okay, although they are about to undergo refurbishment, which by the looks of the pictures will uplift the rooms quite a bit, modernizing the look.
. They provided nice suggestions on dining and shopping.Friendly Staff
The staff at the Hilton Garden Inn were friendly, efficient, and most helpful.
It was verrry soft, and both my husband and I suffered sore backs after a night or two there! Otherwise it was great!. The only real problem we had was the bed.Overall okay
The hotel itself is nice, the people were helpful, the housekeeping is fantastic.
. Appreciated access to computer.Restful and close to Portland
Very pleasant.
Good
Good.
.Very Pleased
All aspects of this hotel were just what we needed.
. Close to several of the areas nicest malls. Nice to have a refrigerator/microwave also.Nice little hotel
Nice size fitness area, rooms comfortable and spacious.
. Would recommend this place to family and friends visiting Beaverton, OR. Bathroom was large and provided enough clean towels daily. Bed comfortable and non-smoking room as requested.
Room was very large with frig, microwave oven, hairdryer and desk.Great place not near any highways or busy city streets.
. There are a couple of places to eat next door too if you dont have a car.Quiet Place
A nice place to spend the night.
.We would recommend this hotel
clean quiet rooms, nice location but not an easy commute to downtown.
. relative to the cost. I was surprised to see how good the hotel was, including service, cleanliness etc.Extermely good value for the money
Nothing much to add.
. I would recommend this hotel and plan to return here on my next visit. With no hesitation the front desk clerk contacted housecleaning to have them delivered.
Staff was very helpfull, I requested additional pillows, specifically foam.Second time we have chose this hotel, will come back again.
. Note: most of the surface areas had been cleaned, but if you move the furniture or try to use some of the surfaces, be prepared. The front desk person is too busy with other tasks to do much of anything.there is no service... This is a limited service.Price Value ?
The hotel is reasonable on weekends, but prices double during the week.
