. Also there was no safe in the room and it was a pain to go down to the lobby every day and get money out of our safety deposit box. But this time we were put on the 6th floor with nothing to look at but a ledge.Disappoined this time We have stayed several times at the Hilton and were always satisfied.

. ..

the restaurants were great, and we saw mama mia!. went up the empire state building, went to central park, the museum of natural history, and rockefeller center. Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay we rode the subway to coney island, the taxis, the harbor boat to the statue of liberty. would certainly go back. we had a great time. our family was equally impressed with all aspects of the hotel.Y.Very impressed with hilton N.

I would never stay here again!. I go to NYC often and this was the poorest hotel experience I have ever had. The mediocre buffet breakfast was $30. The hotel was incredibly crowded.Poor choice in NYC It took us over an hour to check in.

. It’s close to public transportation and not too far a walk to the theater district. The entire staff was always very professional and accommodating. I found both stays to be very enjoyable experiences.Very pleased This is my second experience staying at the New York Hilton.

. There is also a yummy ice cream place in Chinatown w/interesting flavored ice creams. The lower priced places were the finds. Maybe stay away from the high priced restaurants, we weren’t as impressed as we thought we would be. Carnegie’s Deli, mmmmm! There is also a little Thai restaurant on 57th that was delish. Just wanted to say that it was a super convenient location to EVERYWHERE! Easy walking and subway access to Ground Zero, the Bronx, Brooklyn, Times Square, Fifth Avenue shopping, Central Park, you name it, it was easy to get to! Travelers tip on dining Eat at the Halal cart on the corner of 53rd and 6th! So delicious any time of day or night.Super Convenient Location We stayed at Hilton New York on our trip to the US Open.

Travelers tip on dining The vendor cart across the street that has a line wrapped around the street at all hours is well worth the wait!. It was a bonus that the room has it’s own private bathroom, instead of a "shared" bathroom, as most rooms in NY hotels don’t have that option. Room was a little small, but clean and well worth the price.Great Location Hotel was in a great location for the price.

. Time square, Empire State Building, Central park are all within walking distance. and helpful. The staff was friendly. The hotelroom was clean and we had enough space for our two toddlers to crawl around.Good place to stay with little kids We spent a weekend in NY.

Hilton New York Excellently situated Very busy.

Not fancy, but inexpensive (to be in Manhattan!). Travelers tip on saving a few bucks 54th Street Deli - just infront a lateral door of the hotel (across the street form the implanted Starbucks), lies this grocery store where you can buy and eat-in, cook to order food. Definitive recommendation. The room recently renovated and it shows! Although the hotel is surrounded by taller buildings (do not expect any view at all), you do not feel "seen". Great hotel, superb location.Renovated room / room view This is the 4th time I stay on this hotel while in Manhattan.

. I insisted that she send a plumber, she did, and he installed a new part. When I returned to my room at 10:00 pm it was still not fixed even though the person at the front desk "insisted" that it had been fixed according to her record. I notified the front desk at 3:00 and spoke to a representative in person, also. Upon arrival, the toilet did not flush in my room.Disappointing I stayed at this hotel last year, enjoyed it, rebooked for this vacation.

. Not much of a perk. Ended up taking a snack back to my room. Being upgraded to a "complimentary" breakfast meant standing in a long line, only to see that there would be no tables available anyway.Breakfast at the top Everything about my recent stay was very good, except for the continental breakfast experience on the upper floor.

. Very nice Bridges Bar located in the lobby with drink specials nightly.Great Hotel Centrally located to Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Central Park, shopping & restaurants.

. ..

Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay Have time of events on a scedule, so are spending precious time trying to figure out what you should be doing, That way you do not waste time going from one side of the city, then having to backtrack, to get in all that you want to do.With help from the always certious staff that are always eager to help with any arrangements. You have quick access to broadway shows, shopping, sport events,& Casual or Fine , dinning , in the hotel or at large selection of different types of restrurants located within afew blocks.I’;m always ready to return to the New York Hlton the hotel is so conviently located.

. understaffing the front desk... I wonder if this a permanent situation for the hotel. This meant a very long wait to check in and even longer waits to ask for information later.Ok, but don’t be in a hurry I arrived at the hotel at a time when they were understaffed, and a convention was being held at the hotel.

. Our 2 teenagers enjoyed it as well. The service was good, rooms were clean and we felt safe. Great location near everything.Would stay again Third time I’ve stayed at this hotel and would definitely stay again.

. I would never stay there again nor would I reccommend it to anyone else. It was close to all the activities at least. Terrible, terrible room for the prices we paid. The walls had what appeared(I didn’t take a sample) to be black mold coming up through the wallpaper, and the shower curtain smelled sour. The room had a horrible smell that I finally tracked down to the bathroom; it was moldy. MISTAKE.Smelly and old Okay, I have stayed at much better hotels for the same price through Expedia, but I thought I would try a new place.

. The room was dusty and the A/C unit was horrible making sleeping at night almost impossible. Cleaning staff had to be called every day to obtain a towel for our "extra person" in the room despite the fact that I was paying a daily fee for that extra person.NY Getaway Happy to Leave This hotel has a good location but fell far short of my expectations for a Hilton property.

. My only ’warning’ to any traveler would be that this hotel is BIG and crowdy, elevators some times are full and you have to wait longer than you normaly expect.Almost perfect Great location, prices was just a little high specially in hotel’s restaurants.

. Great way to see the city. Travelers tip on recreational activities Take the double decker tour. Dont know if I would pay the extra for the breakfast again. The complimentary breakfast was ok, but not the best. This was vcry discouraging. We had requested some more towels to our room and it actually took us going down to the front desk four times to get them to get the towel to our room. The service could have been better. Close to many things in walking distance. Location was great.Nice location-service could have been better Overall our stay was good.

. We do this every year and pass through MOMA each day as part of our daily explorations. Yes, you pay a bit more for the Hilton, but you really do get good value for what you pay! Travelers tip on dining Great food from the Greek carts on every corner of 6th Ave: don’t bother eating at the hotel for breakfast or lunch! MOMA is nearby and it’s worth buying a membership so that you can stroll in any time you want and visit the cafe and exhibits. The quality and comfort of the rooms is excellent, with no problems in the nicely updated, large room we got. The doorman, reception staff, housekeeping, and the concierges are polite, friendly, and helpful. They really understand what customer service is about, at every level.Another great stay at the Hilton NYC We have stayed at the Hilton when visiting NYC for the past 4 years, and have always been impressed with the kindness and attentiveness of the staff.

Its location is perfect and the beds are heavenly!!. The Hilton is a great refuge from a busy day in NYC.The Hilton is the top in its catagory.

.It is ok, nothing more nothing less It is a good hotel for a conference or for big groups, not that good if you just want a room in a quiet place.

. It was very good but a little pricey for a diner. Travelers tip on dining There is a little diner just a block away you can’t miss it. Check out St Pats its only a couple of blocks away. It is just a short walk to Time Square. You are in a very safe area lots of people around at night. The room was immaculate and pretty big. Try to stay on the 34th floor or lower so you can use any elevator. She warmed up a little after I asked a few questions. The check in was okay but the agent was a little grumpy. It held up to it’s rep.Immaculate! hotel It’s a Hilton, so I knew I wasn’t taking to much of a chance.
