. Hotel waived some minor charges as a good gesture. Room smelled between first call an hours later when 2nd call was placed and the problem was fixed.Bathroom problem
Had to call twice to get a clogged toilet fixed.
.No Free Internet!
Cannot believe in this day and age that you have to pay $20 a day for internet/wifi! Breakfast was very overpriced but Broken Yolk on 6th was great! Hotel was nice but I think you could find better deals with more options elsewhere.
. You are in the middle of it all at this location. Next door to the Convention Center.great views from your room of the Bay area...
Travelers tip on recreational activities
This hotel is next to the Padres stadium and close to the San Diego Zoo (best zoo in the world) plus Balboa Park for museums.especially by the glass... Limited steak menu and limited wine selection. You are driving through a homeless section of San Diego trying to find this hotel at night. Finally called the hotel and they gave me an address that works on the GPS and said that other guests had the same problem.GPS address problem
You cannot find the hotel with the address that is give on a TomTom GPS.
. Else everything was perfect. Although $21/day parking was outrageous.
Nice hotel. Will recommend.Nice Hotel.
. The staff was extremely friendly, it was on the harbor front and walking distance to the nightlife downtown.Beautiful hotel with an amazing view
The hotel was great.
. If you have some time and dont mind a short walk, the Gaslamp distric is right across the street with lots of restaurants and pubs. Prices were very fair. The Fox Grill has a nice variety of foods from pizza to salads to full entrees. If you are not a big breakfast fan, ala carte items work well.00 for the breakfast buffet is pricey.
Travelers tip on dining
For convenience of breakfast the Vela restaurant is okay, but 25. It took several phone calls, e-mails and a coiuple of days to get it resolved, but it did get resolved. I got charged for an upgrade when I already had an upgraded room. At the end, there was a problem with the billing. Valet and parking cost more than renting a car. A taxi from the airport ran about 18 dollars plus tip. It is a very convenient hotel if you are attending the convention center next door. Most rooms have a view of the ocean. The rooms are nicely laid out with a contemporary touch. Room prices were good for this area of San Diego.Nice place, priced fair, good service
The hotel provided good service and rooms were clean.
.Would stay here again!!!
Close to the Gaslamp District, beautiful scenery.
. Chances are that you wont read the fine print on your room key holder warning you about it until they point it out to you during check out. Also the have the paper delivered to your room for a fee automatically, if you dont want it they seem to think its your job to call and cancel it. If you have two vehicles or a longer stay you can see how this would add up real quick. If you bring a vehicle they will charge you $21/day to park it in their structure ($30 something for vallet). First off is the parking.Beware of hidden fees
This hotel is very beautiful and is in a good location with very nice views, but there are a few things you should know.

Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay
Coronado beach and shopping district was just minutes away over a beautiful bridge. sometimes we had to wait a few minutes to get out of parking garage. kind of reiculous to have to check in and check out each time we left the hotel. just another way to make money. $21 per day = $63 for 3 days... Only suggestion is to lower daily parking rates... Could not have been a better vacation.Hilton - San Diego
Beautiful views out the windows overlooking Petco field and convention center.

Concierge service was exceptional.

Travelers tip on dining
Very convenient located near to Gaslamp District restaurants, shops, PETCO ballpark, marinas, just cross the street to SD convention center, accesible to Int. Personnel very kind. lobby.g. Lots of space in public areas, v.Very convenient location and price/quality
Hotel is really new, rooms are comfortable and decoration is perfect for a hotel.
It takes about 15 mins for them to prepare it but it is well worth the wait!!.Flemings Restaurant in the Gaslamp District has the best Chocolate Molten Lava Cake...
Travelers tip on dining
If you love chocolate. Beautiful views, clean, comfortable rooms, and excellent hotel staff.San Diegos Best
The hotel was right on the bay and a short walking distanct from the Gaslamp District and Seaport Village.
. Restaurants galore, shops, walking pleasure and peaceful. But tons to do on foot. Short drives to Balboa Park, Zoo, Sea World to name a few.
Travelers tip on local attractions
Walking distance to everything a vacationer would need. Awesome Hotel, location and overall. We have already booked our next stay for December. The staff was outstanding, rooms lovely, the bar/restaurant awesome.Already booked a stay for December!
What a wonderful treat to enjoy downtown San Diego right on the water with a gorgeous view of Sea Port Village, Convention Center, Harbor, Pet Co Park to name a few.
. Clean and flashy.Great Stay
Was worth it for the discounted price.
. Overall a nice stay at a good price, sans parking fees.00 to Valet.00 to self park and $32. On the downside, I thinks its ridiculous to charge $21. The salt water pool was lovely! We ate at the Fox Sports Bar which was good but way to loud with the screaming football fans. We had a view of the bay and the Coronado Bridge. Its perfect for a venue at PetCo Staduim. We were coming from Seaworld and I think there are closer hotels, but it was worth it. I stayed here with my 5 year old daughter and my cousin visiting from Memphis.Nice Hotel
This was a very nice, modern, sleek hotel.
. One drawback was we had the view of the Dole facility next door. My daughters enjoyed the pool. Once the construction is done, the walk will be much shorter. It is within waling distance to the Gaslamp District.Nice, clean & good location
The hotel is relatively new.
. Its a bit of a walk, but you can take a pedicab there for cheap snacks/liquor. There is a Ralphs Grocery store on 1st and G. We brought a cooler and filled it with ice. There are no refrigerators in the rooms. There are trolley and bus stops also nearby also. We walked everywhere. Its right next to the convention center and a few blocks from the gaslamp, and seaport village. If you dont absolutely need a car, dont bother. We got our king size bed on the 19th floor!
Travelers tip on saving a few bucks
This hotel charges $21 a day for parking. We did the room selected at check in option to save some bucks and it worked out great. Excellent quality for the price. I would probably recommend the other side of the hotel if its youre first time in San Diego.) That side also has a view of the hotel pool. We had a bridge view, which does offer a nice view of the coronado bridge and the bay, however it does also look down on the Port of San Diego which is very industrial (lots of train cars, cargo ships, etc. The room and king size bed were very comfy, and we really enjoyed the view from the huge window.Nice Room, Nice View
My husband and I booked a room here for our anniversary, we live in North County so it was just a quick little weekend getaway to downtown.
. From the bottom floor you can exit the hotel into the esplanade which gives you access to miles of waterfront walk, restaurants, attractions. Everything spanking new and modern. Overall we had a very good experience in this hotel. Oh well, maybe next time. I have a feeling that the view towards downtown would have been much more interesting as there would have been more buildings and the stadium. Whats the point of a looking at that beautiful bridge if you have to look passed all the warehouses and port equipment. The bridge view turned out to be rather boring. Our room overlooked the "Bridge" which, when I checked in I thought it was the best side.Spanking new
The value you get when I hotel of this caliber just opens cannot be beat.
. They charge $50 after 12pm. Be careful of their BS fee for late checkout.New Hotel
Great location for down town stay.
nice water front view
Travelers tip on local attractions
Right downtown on the water...better when construction complete
Right across from Petco Ball Park...Nice area.
. short walk across the street to "Gas Lamp" part of town and Baseball Stadium.Great Hotel
Excellent location.
. Only negative was the hotel did not have room ready and could not provide requested king size bed until I requested an upgrade.
New hotel located near San Diegos nightlife and convention center.Great Hotel, but I needed to upgrade to receive a room with a originally requested king size bed.
. Note: Parking at the hotel is not complimentary, there is a public parking building next door to the hotel, which is what I would consider fairly expensive.
Travelers tip
We flew into San Diego & used public transport. Well worth the 4 Star Rating. Staff were very helpful and polite. Great quality furnishings / bedding, the most comfortable nights sleep Ive had in a hotel. An Enjoyable Stay
Great location, covenient to the Gaslamp Quarter / Baseball Stadium & only a short cab ride from the airport.
Take a Harbor tour or a bus and tour the City. Nice restaurants in the area. Close to Seaport Village and most attractions.
The pool is nice. Everything was great. The panoramic glass window Shows the ocean and the city Gaslamp District and the Civic Center in San Diego. I like to have the same room if I can on my next visit to SD
My room was on the 15th floor. The view was terrific, city and ocean.
Great rooms. Walking distance to the Gas Lamp district.Great Deal
We received a fantastic deal and had a great time.
