. Lots of free wine tours are available nearby so don’t waste the money on them. Make sure you know what time the attactions close ahead of time by calling as some closed early for private events. Travelers tip on local attractions Shenandoah caverns was a nice trip, and the 1957 diner at the caverns was great. The king size bed was comfortable. But don’t worry, there is a Walmart and several fast food restaurants nearby. The room and hotel was extremely clean, however they did only serve a very nice continential breakfast buffet. The hotel had 3 soccer teams staying the nights that we stayed, but we NEVER had any issues with the kids at all. It is far enough away to really get away from the big city. It is only about 20 minutes from Harrisburg. The hotel was in a great location and right off the interstate.Get away weekend for 2 My husband and I came here to celebrate a big birthday.

. And the breakfast was awesome. The room was much bigger than expected, in fact, the staff went out of their way to make sure we got the room we needed by showing us two different rooms and allowing us to choose. We had never stayed at a Holiday Inn Express, so didn’t know what to expect.Very positive experience.

.Good hotel in usa It’s very comportable because free internet and breakfirst.

Travelers tip on local attractions Roads to Shenandoah and through park are really windy-you need a good driver!. As far as the room: comfortable beds, fridge was slightly bigger than those at other hotels, had small freezer compartment, room was clean. There was also wireless internet available. When we checked in, during the afternoon, they still had some fruits and other food out. Breakfast was great- they had everything you could want-hot and cold cereal, hot dishes, eggs, danishes, fruit, tea, coffee, etc. However, a few minutes later, there was a knock at our door, and they bought more (shampoo but not soap). We tried to get more soap, shampoo, and conditioner(they only left one each and we were three people), but when we called housekeeping- they said it was hotel policy to only give one. It was empty in the morning as was the pool. Fitness Center included 2 treadmills, elliptical, and stationary bike, tv, water cooler, towels. Pool is outdoors- overlooking street level. It’s about an hour and a half (?) from shenandoah national park- closest we could find.Decent hotel near shenandoah national park Desk clerks were not friendly, but overall we had a good experience.

. A wonderful trip for a history buff. We also saw Thomas Jefferson’s home, James Monroes homes, and mitchie tavern. The museum with parade floats was very unique. Travelers tip on local attractions Attractions were Shanadoah Caverns, including the two museums. They also gave you breakfast.Virginia This hotel was very comfortable, in a good location, and affordable.

. lol Trust me, you will not be disappointed and I am SUPER PICKY. I do not know if this is the case for all but the one here still had the new car smell.Pleasantly Surprised I have recently noticed that the Holiday Inn/Express had an extreme makeover.

. Pool was well maintained. Rooms were clean. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous.Great and Clean place to stay Would definitely recommend this hotel.

. If you belong to AAA, you can get a discount. You can see some pretty neat formations there. Luray Caverns is also a half hour away. You can hike the Appalachian Trail there, have a picnic, see wild life, etc. Travelers tip on local attractions Skyline Drive at Shenandoah National Park is about a half hour away. We only stayed one night, but it was clean and the service was good.Nice Place to Stay This was a nice place to stay.
