The bed was so uncomfortable. The air conditioning unit was so noisy that we got no sleep at all.The air con didnt work properly, room was very stuffy and the smallest room i have ever seen in nyc.The good things about this hotel are you get a continintel breakfast every morning. its very centrally located. A beer in the hotel Bar is only $5 compared to some other hotels in the area, they are $8 and up.Rating:5
Very impressedA perfectly positioned hotel, very clean and comfortable, service was of a high standard, would definately recommend this hotel to others, close enough to all the main attractions, but quiet enough to give you a decent break. Great value for money.Rating:4
Small but fineThis was a satisfactory choice for someone who only wanted a sleeping spot. The room was indeed very small, with only a foot or so between wall and bed, but nicely designed. Spare and modern. It was nice, it did not feel claustrophobic. Bathroom was fine too, shower only. Look for cool cappucino machine at breakfast--I did not see it at first. The service at reception was very good. Very considerate and accommodating. Parking down the street but all were helpful. Theatre district felt safe to me (older woman).Rating:5
Happiness in Times Square. This hotel is right behind the main Times Square McDonalds: if you go through the restaurant and exit by the back door, the hotel is just there on your left. Its basically in a very quiet street, but one block from Times Square, 3 blocks away from the subway station you need to take to go to JFK airport, and about 10 walkable blocks (Im assuming you have young legs--Im 33) to Macys and the shopping area. The subway station thats right in front of the hotel (literally) takes you basically anywhere in Manhattan and beyond. The hotel location is extremely convenient, but there is a price tag. Still, its a competitive price for a 3-star hotel in the area. Also, do not expect to have a view on anything in Times Square, the hotel is sandwiched between two buildings, and if you get a window to the outside, youll have a view on an empty street (so its quiet, especially if you ask for a room that doesnt give onto the street). But you didnt come to Manhattan to stay in your hotel room, did you?
Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stayDont take a shuttle to the airport unless you have trouble walking, the subway station, 3 blocks away will take you straight there (be aware that there often is work on the subway tracks, especially on week-ends, so plan extra time in case you find this out at the last minute). - A good place to eat if you are by yourself is Juniors Cheesecake. Sit at the bar. The portions are gargantuan, but the quality is there. However, if youre looking for a non-tourist restaurant, leave the area.Rating:5
A very Pleasant ExpericenceA very pleasant expericence...reasonable price for the location...Very clean and friendly front desk.. Kinda small room... But will do it again !!!Rating:5
Great place to stayHotel had a great location right next to times square. Everything was really clean, the decor was nice and comfortable, only issue was that the rooms were small but youre not in New York city to hang out in the hotel room so space didnt bother us.Rating:5
Great stay! The attendants at the front desk were always friendly and helpful. Right in Times Square. The room is small but very clean. Good breakfast pastries. I would stay here again.Rating:5
can`t wait to go backit was a wonderfull experience, great customer service, close to everything in time square you dont need a cab or bus yo can just walk. you have to try it.Rating:5
All you needI expected the room to be small & it was but youre not in NYC to sit in a hotel room. It was fine for 2 people. The staff was very friendly & very helpful. Location was great. Youre in safe walking distance of all the Times Square area. Parking garage & hotel staff work well together.
Travelers tipI wasnt familiar with garage parking. It was nice to find out that even though hotel check out time was 12 noon, your vehicle did not have to be checked out of garage until what ever time you checked in that previous day. So if you checked in that night, you could still store your luggage at the hotel & leave your car there at no extra charge in case you were not ready to leave the city.Rating:5
Would stay there again! The location was great. It was a block off Times Square and right across the street from a subway entrance. The staff was very polite and helpful, and the room was spotless. The rooms are tiny, but we knew that going into it. My younger daughter appreciated the selections of dvds available at the front desk when she was ready to crash for the night. The only downside was the heating/cooling. Because the room is so small it warms up/cools down very quickly and is hard to regulate (and a little loud). I would definitely stay here again.Rating:4
Near to brodway, good hotelMy room had a window, but a wall was just behind so nothing to see and no light with this window. The breakfast was good and free.Rating:5
great!the hotel is awesome... the location is perfect! very close to everything! the otel service is very good, and despite we got a small room (standart) it was perfect for us... we did have a great time staying in this hotel. I for sure, recommend this hotel as a good place to enjoy new york city!Rating:5
Staff was awesome and within a block of Times Square - close to all the Broadway shows. The entire staff was outstanding. They were helpful and went out of their way to assist us in any way possible. Hotel 41 is within a block of Times Square, but we never heard the noise or bustle in our room. It was nice that it was within an easy walking distance to all of the Broadway shows so we had a short walk back in the evening and didnt need to get a taxi or take the subway. I would definitely recommend Hotel 41, and if I ever have the opportunity to visit NYC again, this would be the place I would stay.
Travelers tip on nightlifeWithin walking distance of all the major Broadway shows. It was nice to not have to get a taxi or ride the subway after an evening of entertainment.Rating:4
VERY FRIENDLY SERVICEMe and my wife went there for a economical holiday and we found out more than we expected in Hotel 41. It was comfortable, friendly and helpfull. The only thing that you may bother is the small rooms, but We did not.Rating:5
Second time at this hotel! Well be back! This is the second time we have stayed here. We would stay AGAIN. The staff is first class and cared about our stay. The location is perfect for a stay near Broadway and Times Square. We highly recommend this hotelRating:5

Travelers tip on diningthe dumpling house on the corner of canal and lafayette in chinatown has the best steamed crab and shrimp dumplings in the world.catch the number 6 local downtown and get off at canal.Rating:5
Nice place to stayGreat location, RIGHT next to Times Square. It was within walking distance of many place that I wanted to see including central park and the theaters. It was a nice place.Rating:5
Couldnt have been happier!I was honestly a bit scared about the reviews regarding the size of the room. I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived and we were upgraded from a Standard room to a Queen Deluxe for free. (I hear this happens quite a bit.) I couldnt have been happier about this hotel. Yes, the rooms are a big small, but you shouldnt be in your hotel room that much while youre in NYC anyway! The queen deluxe was perfect for me and my husband. The bathroom was immaculate, with new amenities, the bed was comfy, the elevator was fast and felt safe(unlike most NY elevators), the bar downstairs was really convenient. The location was next to none. The subway is right across the street, Walgreens a couple blocks away, and all the Broadway shows are right at your doorstep! The shining gem about this hotel, however, is the staff. They were next-to-none when it comes to exceptional service. From the doorman to the receptionist to the bellhop, everyone was so friendly and helpful with anything from directions to train instructions to DVD rentals. They are what make the hotel amazing. Definitely stay here if youre going to NY, want a reasonable price, want to stay in the middle of the action, and want impeccable service!Rating:4
Nice hotelI thought this hotel was nice. The staff were friendly and remembered my name. Room and bathroom were clean. The room was small like advertised, but as long as you arent planning on spending your whole vacation in your room, then you wont have a problem. While this didnt bother me too much, my rooms window only looked out onto a brick wall and there was no natural light coming into the room, which could be a problem for someone claustrophobic. My room was in the middle of the building. I believe the end rooms have windows. The location was very convenient for exploring New York City.Rating:5
Best stay ever in NYC!I just returned from my 3 night stay at the Hotel 41 and I couldnt have been happier. I was a little worried about the reviews of how small the rooms were but I was pleasantly surprised. I have stayed at several NYC hotels and this was by far the best. You couldnt beat the location. The hotel staff was very helpful when I asked for great places to go. I would recommend that everyone should visit "The View" at the Marriot Hotel for at least drinks. We will return again very soon!Rating:3
Good Hotel, but falling apartGood price, but very small rooms. Hotel is falling apart... Also, renovation next door woke me up every morning at 6 am! Very close to everything! If you are a tourist, its a good place to stay..Rating:5
Cozy hotel in a great locationThis hotel has a great location. It is right in the middle of all the action. The staff was very nice and the hotel was clean. The rooms are small, but if you dont plan on spending a lot of time in your room...its perfect. The only complaint I have is that the blankets on the bed were a little rough.
Travelers tip on diningAvoid all the chain restaurants on Broadway, try places you can find only in NYC.Rating:5
Center of the universeWonderful value, just steps from Times Square.
Travelers tip on local attractionsReally cant beat the location and the prices are usually superb. A few steps to Times Square, the subway, etc.Rating:5
Loved This HotelI would stay here every time I go to NY if I could. The hotel is a small, boutique-style hotel similar to good 3-star European ones. In fact, it had a European feel to me. My room was small but very well appointed, comfortable, and extremely clean. The only glitch I had was in figuring out the programmable thermostat. But once I solved that and got the temperature right, I was very comfortable. Good continental breakfast too. I highly recommend this hotel.Rating:5
Can only recomend highlyGreat service, free bottle of water on arrival, dvd lending library, we were given an umbrella when it rained on Christmas Eve. Breakfast was good too, bagels, muffins, pastries, coffee, tea, hot choc, juice. The hot drinks machine was free til 4pm or so so we saved a lot of money but not visiting starbucks! Great location, you walk out to times square. Yes, the room is small, though there were bigger rooms to the front of the building. It was not painfully small though, there was a closet. Bathroom very new and clean.
