Great stayWonderful hotel from the service to the room.Rating:4
Top-end CourtyardThey have a full service dinner with pretty good food, and a nice bar / lounge.....so you dont have drive back to the hotel after a few beers. The ONLY thing lacking was the newspaper at your door when you wake up. Other than that, top notch.Rating:5
Good Location For Baseball FansWe enjoyed the Commonwealth. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The Eastern Standard restaurant attached to the hotel was superb. For baseball fans its the perfect hotel to stay at. Just 2 blocks from Fenway. I would recommend this hotel to others.Rating:5
Hotel Commonwealth ExceptionalI would highly recommend this hotel for business or leisure. It is very convenient for traveling to downtown Boston. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and offers all the ammenities anyone could need.
Travelers tip on local attractionsTwo blocks from Fenway Park and very convenient to the interstate.Rating:5
Great place to stay when have Red Sox tickets! We loved the location in relation to Fenway - it was perfect! Staff, especially conceirge, was great and extremely helpful and accomodating - made us want to come back!
Travelers tip on dininggreat breakfast place on Newbury St - Trident Bookstore & cafe - read about it through another review on-line and loved it - had a great waitress and excellent breakfast!Rating:5
Great Location for BU familiesFantastic location for families with Boston University students/members. The "T" (train/metro) entrance is almost at the entrance of the Hotel. Need to book several weeks in advance to get good rates and availability.Rating:5
excellent location, as subway the T station right outside front door of hotel.Although our stay was only one night, we were completely pleased. We would have no hesitation staying here again. while we did not attend a Red Sox game, we noted that Fenway Park is adjacent to the hotel.Rating:5
Best place to stay when going to a game at Fenway by far!Extremely nice and newer hotel that you can usually find good rates for. Has Valet parking and a less than five minute walk to Fenway. Also has a convenience store, Duncan Doughnuts and a Pizzeria Uno on the same block.Rating:5
Lots of Fun!Our hotel stay for one night was wonderful! The room that we had was a view on Commonwealth Ave. and had its own sitting area, comfortable bed, two t.v.s and the bathroom was a very good size. Only two small complaints, however neither would hold us back from staying at Hotel Commonwealth again. I had booked a Fenway room as it was for a birthday celebration and we were going to the Red Sox game that night, however when we checked in they said they had upgraded us to a Jr. Commonwealth suite, which obviously had a view of Comm. Ave. Secondly when we went to check in at 3:30 p.m. our room was still not ready. We went out for an early dinner and drinks, came back and it was ready. The good part about that is that they will hold your bags for you! The staff was extremely nice and very helpful.
Travelers tip on diningThe hotel includes the Foundation Lounge and an access route to Eastern Standard (restaurant). We ate at Eastern Standard and it was great! Wonderful atmosphere & great drinks!Rating:5
Couldnt have asked for moreGreat place to stay, if you want to catch Red Soxs game you cant find a closer hotel. 2 locks from the studium! The service was great, I called housekeeping twice once for bobby pins and once for more conditioner and they were fast and helpful. Plenty of things to do and subway right next to hotel to get you all over the great city of BostonRating:5
Will definitely Go BackExcellent service, great room overlooking Fenway Park. Great linens, great bath & room amenities, excellent clock/stereo/ipod player. Ive never seen one like it. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Travelers tip on local attractionsSuper convenient location when going to a game at Fenway, and within walking distance of all the Newbury and Boylston St. restaurants & shopping.Rating:4
Elegant and friendlyVery well decored and highly maintained, super friendly staff. Only downside - a little off-center if you need back-bay / financial district.Rating:5
Terrific for taking in a Red Sox night game w/ little kids!!One of the best hotel experiences that I have ever had. I love this hotel and I will stay again. Perfect place to stay if you are taking young children to a night game at Fenway Park which is two blocks away. Great location with the Kenmore Square T stop below the Hotel.Rating:5
Hotel Commonwealth..1 night stayBeautiful hotel, walking distance to Fenway Park and to Newbury Street for shopping/eating. Staff was very pleasant & they were able to upgrade us to a Junior Suite when we arrived. Junior Suite was gorgeous, very large and spacious & was overlooking the street. We enjoyed this hotel very much.Rating:5

Great locationNear Fenway Park and shopping. Lots of great food and local bars. My wife left a pair of shoes in the room and the hotel staff Fed-Exed them to us in Florida.! We go to Boston every year for a Redsox weekend and try and stay at different hotels, we will stay here again next year.

Great Hotel by BU campusThis is a great option for the Back Bay/BU area. The hotel is new and the rooms are immaculate.Rating:5
perfect place to stay!I was looking forward to my second stay at the Hotel Commonwealth because my first time there was so wonderful. As before, the Hotel Commonwealth was absolutely perfect. The staff is extremely polite and helpful. The rooms are gorgeous, spacious, clean, beautifully decorated, and they offer turn-down service. I stayed in a Commonwealth room which is a great choice! In addition, the hotel is centrally located in Kenmore Square, right next to the Kenmore T (train stop), near many restaurants and close to shopping as well. I had brunch at Eastern Standard, one of the restaurants at the hotel, the food was delicious. I will definitely stay at this hotel the next time I am in Boston.Rating:5
