Nice place to stay if you want downtown type actionWe enjoyed the Valencia. It is beautifully appointed. What we appreciated most however was that the staff did what they said they would do. There was a very loud wedding going on & we assumed wed be kept awake half the night but, true to their word, the staff had all the partiers out by 10PM. Great location for shopping & night life.
Travelers tip on shoppingCheck out Z gallerie for home goods - unique items.Rating:5
Wonderful area to stay inSantana Row had beautiful stores and outdoor bistros as well as a movie theatre! Lots to do and all in walking distance. The hotel was beautiful as well. Highly recommend this area. It is also 4 miles from the airport so very close.Rating:3
Location 5 star, Hotel Valencia - not quite thereOf course you cannot beat the location of the Hotel Valencia on Santana Row. Whether staying for business (they have adequate business facilities) to leisure (incredible restaurants, nightlife and shopping) - Hotel Valencia fits the bill. I never mind paying for luxury hotels if they are up to that standard - but I felt this hotel was a bit overpriced for the quality of hotel. It is visual stunning, but not very well made or constructed. Walls are thin, noise is a consideration in whatever room type you have there - and I have tried them all. Overall, would continue to go back if they consider dropping their inflated price. This trip I did take advantage of their spa and had an incredible massage - the spa facility is small, exotic and comfortable. They gave exceptional service, and would go back to that spa - even if not staying @ hotel.Rating:5
Great place to stay in San JoseThis was not my first time traveling to San Jose for business, but was my first time visiting Santana Row. Im impressed with the area, the stores and this is a great little place to hang out and shop, have lunch or drinks. The hotel was is located in the heart of the shops and has that personalized boutique feel to it. I was very impressed with the accomodations and would stay there again. My only complaint would be I should have stayed longer.Rating:3
Great LocationGreat location. Very well decorated rooms. Be careful of rooms on the north/west (?) side. The HVAC plant across the street is very noisy if youd like to open your window.
Travelers tip on nightlifeThis is the happening place on Santana Row, with plenty of great places nearby.Rating:3
Hotel ValenciaThe hotel was nice the room smelled like a gym locker room. I would not recomend my family or a friend to stay there. There valet parking staff was about the only thing that made my trip great.
Travelers tip on nightlifeDinning and the nightlife on the strip was nice too.Rating:5
awesome Hotel! great location! The rooms are just very nice and not in the boring standard design of other Hotels. Makes you feel at home! Great places to eat in Santana Row! The pool on the rooftop is very nice, even though it can get crowded over the weekend! I would definitely go back, but only for the weekend rate ;)Rating:5
Great Boutique Hotel in Great Shopping AreaLoved this hotel! Service was great and continetal breakfast was awesome. Large selections of items. No need to order from menue at breakfast. Lovely courtyard for an evening cocktail before dinner. Pleasantly surprised!Rating:5
Santan RowMy wife and I enjoy Santana Row, and the Hotel Valencia. We will certainly be returning.Rating:5
Location, Location, LocationValencia is smack dab in the middle of the most exclusive shopping area of San Jose, Santana Row. The hotel itself is exquisite, service is great and it is our favorite place to stay.
Travelers tip on diningYou can park your car and never use it again during your leisure stay. Shopping and dining plentiful.Rating:4
Great LocationWe had a very pleasant, comfortable stay.Rating:5
Extremely Satisfied !Quality and Comfort, Great Breakfast! Staff extremely professional and helpful. We got in 3AM and very tired, staff very pleasant and attentive. Love the area and all the shops and restaurants. Even found a great bargin at nearby shop.
Travelers tipLots to do, so plan to stay a few days and enjoy much attractions,Rating:4
Santana rowNice, roomy and contemporary decor. Operator/housekeeping could use a bit of improvement in customer service. Valet/Front desk are very helpful.
Travelers tip on diningCocola bakery (I think) has very (very) poor service!!!!Rating:4
Not very service orientedVery nice hotel in the middle of a nice mall for shopping/dining. The Service of the hotel was almost non-existent. The staff was very friendly, but the experience is similar to a 3 star hotel. No offers to help with luggage, recommendations for places to see or help booking a reservation... personally, I prefer this, so this wasnt a problem, but if youre expecting the staff to go out of their way for you, you might be dissapointed.
Travelers tip on diningThere are a number of wonderful restaurants in the Mall. Amber India is delicious. So is Straits Cafe (which also has a nice nightlife if youre traveling on the weekend)Rating:5
loved hotel valenciaThis was a great stay... great location and vibeRating:5
Comfortable Elegance at Santana RowThe hotel is inviting with a warm glow and a high energy feel. Our room was elegantly decorated and bed provided a comfortable haven which was needed after a long day of shopping at Santana Row.
Travelers tip on local attractionsSantana Row with many stores and restaurants.Rating:5
Great weekeend getawayGreat place for a weekend getaway, since the hotel is at Santana Row you dont have to leave the area, there are 20 restaurants and movie theaters within a walking distance, the only dissapointment was the spa in the hotel ( there was no steam room, jacuzzi or sauna, and the lounge was to small and unconfortable ), I would recommend Burke Williams Spa ( day spa )next door.
Travelers tip on local attractionsBurke Williams Spa next door, also request rooms away from the court yard.Rating:4
planning to go back againThis is my 4th time staying and i always have a great time. I love the breafast in the morning.Rating:2
Very noisyThe hotel bar hosts a party in the courtyard with a live band on Fridays that seems to be in your room until 10PM, the crowd noise in the courtyard on both nights of my stay rendered the room usless for sleepiing until after 1PM.Rating:5
ExcellentExcellent place to stay in, in the center of Santana Row. Very romantic setting.Rating:5
Great Stay - Cant wait to visit again. My girlfriend and I stayed here for our 6 month anniversary and had a phenomenal time. I had heard about the hotel by visiting the V-Bar, which is a bar in the hotel open to the public. We were impressed by the decor and cleanliness of the room. We were planning on visiting one of the many restaurants or bars in the area for dinner, but were enjoying our room so much, we ordered room service instead. The menu selection and quality were top notch. We also enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi and the continental breakfast the next morning. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a quiet getaway.Rating:5
Great placeHotel Valencia is in walking distance of plenty of great restaurants, stores, and entertainmentRating:5
Great Urban GetawayGreat restaurants and shopping and nightlife right next to the hotel. Great urban weekend getaway!Rating:4
Great HotelMy family love the hotel. The design, the cleanliness, the surrounding areas, and all the restaurants nearby. The service needs to be improved. It was not horrible, but I felt the employees there did not care enough about the customers need.Rating:2
Service not up to standardRoom service overwhelmed on a recent Sunday. Even after order delivered one hour late, they still forget silverware. Minibar not restocked once during a five day stay. Turn down service was also sporadic.
