Reviews

. It stops about 3 blocks from the hotel and will save you money. Travelers tip on saving a few bucks Take the BART from the airport instead of a cab. Would stay here anytime we travel to San Francisco. Cannot stress enough about the location. Will Be Back! Clean hotel and a great location.

Travelers tip on dining La Mar Peruvian food very close by was wonderful!. Excellent location close to everything. The rooftop terrace is wonderful - bring your own wine from the Ferry Market across the street.Very nice! I paid for a "partial view" room but it was only on the second floor - they quickly moved us to the 4th floor & that was much better.

. Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay While walking along the waterfront early in the morning, take a bite of wonderful fresh fruits and other delis at de Farmers’ Market in Ferry Building, just across the street. Decor in public spaces (lobby) not so attractive. Best bay view! Good restaurant and room service. Great location. Comfortable room.Excellent choice by the waterfront (surprisingly quiet for Sanfran!) Excellent service.

. Beautiful hotel. Great location. Every member of the staff greeted you with a ’good morning’ or a ’hello’ every time you cross their path. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. I didn’t realize we were staying at such a nice hotel. A little surprised too.Great Hotel I was really impressed when we got there.

.loved the Mexican booth for breakfast.......the Saturday morning Farmer’s market is a great place........go to the Slanted Door for excellent Asian Fusion food and the unbelieveable view......... Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay Enjoy the Ferry Building which is across the street.can’t wait to return to it.......... It is now "my hotel" in San Francisco. The room decor was wonderful and it just felt so cozy and a really good, welcoming type of room. Loved the location.staff was excellent, friendly and very well trained......... We absolutely loved the hotel. My Hotel in San Francisco.

We celebrated a belated honeymoon, it couldn’t have been any more romantic! Loved it!. The view we had was amazing.Already planning the return trip! Loved the staff, the location, the hotel itself was beautiful.

. My only complaint was that we didn’t have a view from our room and was told that a room with a view was a cost upgrade. I just would have preferred that the heat lamps could be used for guests and not just for events.Great location This hotel is located in a great spot! The view from the roof top was great.

Great hotel by the Embarcadero We always love staying at this hotel!.

I will never stay anywhere else again!great food, great staff, perfect location and wonderful room! The rooftop spa is wonderful!.Simply the best! Everything and everyone could not have been more perfect.

. Travelers tip on dining The Hotel Vitale is in walking distance of several excellent restaurants. We also enjoyed the outdoor terrace on the 7th floor. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. It was right across from the Ferry Building where they had the Farmers Market on Saturday morning, which was a great place for breakfast.Great location We loved stating at the Hotel Vitale.

. We will definitely go back. The staff wasvery welcoming and we were not made to feel out of place at all. However, while the furnishings were very sleek and modern, the clientele was quite diverse, including business people, young hipsters and families like ours. i was afraid that the hotel was going to be "too cool" for our family of four. The location right across from the Ferry Building - a foodie paradise - was the selling point, but the friendly service was a happy surprise.Hip hotel near the Ferry Building We were very happy with our stay at the Hotel Vitale in San Francisco.

. Despite our awesome room on the 7th floor with a waterfront view of the Bay Bridge, we had some minor snafus with service involving a coffeemaker in the room, and a broken safe, but these did not negatively impact our overall stay in these beautiful surroundings, and the great location.Loved it.

.Very Impressed Every on of the staff was very friendly and helpful, they made it a real pleasure to stay at this hotel.

. The location is perfect for those who love staying by the ocean and want to get to Union Square easily.Excellent Customer Service, Great Location My husband and I were very impressed with the staff -- they were very courteous and helpful.

Terraces on all the upper levels are such a terrific feature!. Cutting edge, great location, friendliest staff I’ve encountered of any hotel I’ve stayed in.Outstanding hotel Very satisfied with this hotel.

. Next time, we want to enjoy wine and cheese from the beautiful roof top overlooking the Bay Bridge and Ferry Building. Can’t wait to go back We had such a wonderful stay!! From the moment you arrive to when you check out everyone and everything was great.

. Travelers tip on local attractions saturday: farmers market, fisherman wharf, pier 39, china town, alcatraz, ride the street cars. the staff were really nice, the onlybad thing, room did not have a coffe machine, complimentary coffee in on the lobby. we check out at noon, but we left our bags and truck in the hotel at not extra cost. we ask for 2 queens, there was a table for 4, refri, desk, a bed/couch next to the window and another couch, i would say 6 people could sleep in there. it was bigger than what i expected.I was preatty shock when i opened the doors of my room. i apreciated that, with 2 kids, i did not felt like waiting on the lobby.Modern-New Hotel when we got to the hotel, the system was down, so we could not check in but they let us go into our room anyway and we check in later.

We will be back very soon! Travelers tip on local attractions We loved the Ferry Building!.5 Stars! I have stayed at several boutique hotels in San Francisco and this one was amazing! We loved the modern design of the hotel with an extremely pleasant staff and amazing views.

. Grab a bottle of wine & enjoy with the pizza on the roof terrace w/ gorgeous views. Travelers tip on dining Goat Hill Pizza delivered fantastic pizza ( sourdough crust) to our room & they are a great value.Awesome Hotel ! Get rooms 512-504 for spectacular views of the bay/ferry bldg from your room.

Rotisserie chicken sandwiches and especially the pork sandwiches, it’s the bomb!. Check out RoliRoti. Great bites, fruits, breads, etc. Travelers tip on local attractions Every Tues, Thurs and Saturday there’s a farmers market at the Ferry Bldg. This was one of the best hotel we’ve stayed in. Staff is very professional and helpful. Great location, excellent view from the terrace. Will return The hotel is an Insider’s select.

. One of the best places to stay in SF.Very beautiful hotel a relaxing and energetic place at the same time.

. Also, don’t bother with renting a car. Travelers tip on saving a few bucks If going to San Francisco, leave your car at home and take public transportation. The streetcars to Fisherman’s Wharf stop right outside the hotel. BART, cable cars, street cars, and buses are within a couple of blocks for local travel within the city. For a change of pace, we took the ferry back (also right across the street) to catch our train at Jack London Square in Oakland. The Amtrak bus connection from Emeryville (in the East Bay) arrived right across the street from the hotel.Great location if travelling without a car We selected this hotel for a short stay in San Francisco since we were arriving by Amtrak and did not want to bother to rent a car.

. The rooftop terraces are really a can’t miss. An incredibly luxurious place with a laid back atmosphere and staff.Simply phenomenal! If I could live in this hotel I would.

. The streetcar will take you to Fisherman’s Wharf, or it’s an easy but long walk. Travelers tip on local attractions Ferry Building is right across the street. The only improvment I’d like would be for an in room coffee pot.Awesome stay I loved my stay at Hotel Vitale, I can’t wait to go back.

:-). That Friday night was a very memomorable night. What else can i say?? Travelers tip on nightlife The restaurant/bar in the lobby is really really happening with lots of beautiful people, and a wonderful ambience. My room was great!! I slept well. It sits right next to water, and wonderfully convenient to mass transit. It doesnt overwelm with size, but will astonish you with its attention to detail, amenities, and the friendliness of its staff.Perfect Location A Joie de Vivre Hotel has always had an excellent reputation, and Hotel Vitale will not disappoint you at all.
