. It may be close to Fenway, but when you average in the outdated decore with the pricey parking, I would have opted to pay just a little more for a nicer, newer hotel.Outdated With Hidden Prices
Beware of the $20 per night per vehicle surcharge when staying at this hotel.
.convenience to park was well worth staying there also close to other attractions.Great Stay
Nice hotel to stay in especially if your going to see game at Fenway park.
Not impressed
it was just dirty and priced way to high
Travelers tip on local attractions
fenway is close.
Oh yeah, the bannana bread pudding is fabulous!. Great Staff, for concerts its an excellent venue.
Travelers tip on dining
House of Blues has very good food, and is reasonable. Id stay there again if I was going back to the House of Blues for another show. Room was clean enough. Staff were pleasant and generally helpful. The doors were a little thin, so noise of doors shutting might have been annoying if I had planned on sleeping alot, I didnt, so not a problem really. Not nearly as bad as I expected, fine for a night. where I was going to see Extreme, so I booked it in spite of the soso reviews.HoJo Fenway Park
Wasnt expecting much, but its very convienient to the House of Blues on Lansdowne St.
Continental breakfast would have been Great!
Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay
convenient to everything. Coffee was in rooms but didnt know if they would charge so I didnt use it. Only downfall I wish they offered coffee in the lobby throughout the evening. Staff was very pleasant. Nice location and would stay again.Hotel has excellent location to everything
We went to a red sox game and the hotel was right in Fenways backyard.
. Also, when I forgot something in the room and remembered the same night, they were unable to give it to me, but instead will mail it to me and charge me for the mail fee.An overpriced bust
Staff did little to deal with multiple late night disturbances, loud drunks banging on doors for an hour at 3am, fire alarms, etc.
Fine for that - I wouldnt like to be there on a Red Sox game night though - the room literally looked at the stadium wall!.Fine for Basic Hotel
Stayed there for one night to look at Boston colleges.
also cost a bit high for condition.fenway is right around the corner. great for a quick trip to a game.Good for overnight for a game thats about it!
needs repairs! staff ok-rooms not so ok.
He was wonderful. The bell captain helped us get a jump.Helped us immensely
Our car battery was dead when we went to leave at 6:00 in the morning.
.Fair enough
this hotel is cheap enough for you to stay in Boston for a short period of time, especially if you a Red Sox fan.
.

Stay in room upstair, it is quieter and better condition. A parking fee of $20 is charged over night. Hotel condition is a two star hotel. Good and kind hearted employees working at the hotel.Acceptable hotel to stay for few days
Excellent and friendly service from staff.
We want to go back!!!. The motel is in a great location, our view was Fenway Park!!! Tons of things to do within walking distance and the resturant down stairs was great. The staff was great, they were able to give us 5 rooms next to each other. We went to Boston for a family event.Perfect for a large group/family reunion
Fenway Howard Johnsons was great.
Travelers tip
None.Should be demolished and rebuilt
Staff nice but overall the hotel had funny smell, room needed to be completely re-modeled (from ceiling to floor), heating unit was so loud that every time it went on it woke us up.
. After taking a red-eye the night before, that was greatly appreciated. I arrived well before check-in time, and they were able to get me in a room right away. It fully met my expectations, was in a convenient location, clean room and reasonable price.Ill be back
For my needs, this hotel was a good choice.
.00 per day to park your car in the parking lot. Do know that they charge @20. Any way the room was adequate and clean and they did have free WiFi. I had never heard of a hotel making a copy of a customers credit card and identification. I wasnt real pleased with the front desk staff particularly when they made a copy of my credit card and my identification. The price is generally more affordable than most other hotels in Boston but then again there are a limited number of rooms and the hotel is outdated. The location is awesome if you are a baseball fan because it is literally backed right up against Fenway Park.Affordable for Boston
Howard Johnsons Inn at Fenway is an older hotel which has not been updated as much as it should it should be.
.right next door to Fenway...Close to Fenway
Hotel is fine for short stay.
. Do yourself a favor and go across the street. Just awful food and service. We had breakfast there. Its not affiliated with the hotel. It must have been less than 100 feet from our hotel room!
Travelers tip on dining
As a side note, dont eat at the restaurant in the hotel lobby. Restaurants, bars, souvenir shops and best of all, Fenway. Walk right out the door and into all the fun. No frills but great if you want to stay at Fenway.Close as you can get to Fenway
Hotel and room were as expected.
. Paradise Rock Club (near BU) was absolutely awesome. Fenway Park tour was great.
Travelers tip on local attractions
Newbury Street was wicked awesome.go only cuz its cheapest when Red Sox not in town
I walked into my "cleaned room" and found: broken jewelry on floor: ground floor window was open (no security bars on it) and window lock barely staying on; fortune cookie still in wrapper between desk and chair; and the topper - there was still piss in the toilet...Not impressed.
. Definitely would return.Location, Location, Location
This hotel was close to everything.
What more could a man ask for ?. Friendly staff, hot water with good shower pressure. Perfect for a 3-4 stay to watch some baseball. Clean, but nothing exciting.Very close, clean but no frills
Around the corner from Fenway.
.Shirts, jackets, hats, for kids women and men. Every Jersey every number. They have everything, and I mean everything a Sox fan could want.
Travelers tip on shopping
If you go to a Sox game and stay here and your looking for Sox merchandise go to the shop on Yawkey Way. We stayed in 222 and it was perfect. For the view of Fenway ask for the even number rooms on the second floor. We will be back. We had plenty of AC and hot water, and the front desk was very helpful and friendly. This isnt a 5 star hotel but for the baseball fan its almost heaven. What a block party!! Theres a new Wing place across the street - Chicken to the Bone! its great. You walk out the door and your on Yawkey Way in 1 minute. If you are a real Soxs fan you have to stay here. Its a 5 min cab ride from the train station, and 15 from Logan AP. Opened our window and there was right field right across the street.Cant Beat the View
Stayed here for the Sox game and was amazed how close we were to Fenway.
.
Bring a fan and your own pillow. Our room was so hot! It must have been in the 90s in the room and windows are bolted shut.Hopefully in August when we return theyll have it up and running....... They said it was too early in the spring. Temp was in the 80s and they hadnt turned on the AC at all. This was by far our worst stay ever.No AC
We stay here for every Redox home game because its so close.
. The Lounge was a nice surprise, lots of friendly people.Perfect for Socks games
If your coming from out of town to go to Fenway you can not find a more convient location.
. However, the place is very run down, the whole building smells of cigarettes, and you must be prepared to either ride the subway or get a cab if youre going to or from the airport, as no shuttle.Convenient for baseball fans
Great location next to Fenway Park, and if youre going to town just to see a game, cant beat it.
. If youre attending a game be sure to get there 2 or 3 hours early to enjoy Yawkee way. Fantastic micro brewery and great food.
Travelers tip on local attractions
Go Sox! Make sure and check out Beer Works Brewery just around the corner. I hope they dont tear it down like they are predicting. The hotel is dated and needs updating. The hotel is directly behind Fenway Park so its our only choice when going to a Red Sox game and staying overnight.Location, location, location
This was our 2nd stay here.
