Reviews

.would definately stay here again. Room was clean ,was especially impressed with the cleanliness of the bathroom.Very impressed was very pleased with the service.

. If you are just passing through it is a great place to stay but if you looking to be close to the happening areas I would choose another. We were hoping to walk everywhere. It was farther away from downtown than I thought. I thought I was getting a continental breakfast but what it meant was they had a restaurant downstairs where you would have to pay.Other hotels looked better The overall experiance was fine but it was an outdated hotel.

. Unless they can backup their advertisement of "WiFi" in the rooms, I’ll pass next time. There was no explanation. In the 3 nights I stayed there, it was never resolved. I reported the weak signal condition to the front staff who said they’d get on the problem. The first night I tried getting my e-mail it didn’t work (weak signal).Advertised WiFi did not work I picked the hotel because it advertised "W-Fi" in the room.

. The building to the East was pretty quite and the room was clean and comfy.Quit if you are in the building off to the East This is an older hotel that has been remodeled in lots of areas.

. If housekeeping used a product like tilex or equivilent each time there was mold visible this problem could be easilt addressed. But the shower had a lot of mold. Hopefully that is an isolated incident. One hand towel had some nasty gunk on it. Only housekeeping could be a bit more diligent.Moldy shower Overall this hotel was fair-good value.

. Sorry Howard Johnson, not impressed. This place was one of the saddest places we ever stayed in. Also similar price. Not too clean There are other hotels nearby that are cleaner and better place to stay.

. Not to worry, I just took my entertainment (and dollars) elsewhere. As well as the restaurant/lounge was closed during posted open hours. However, On-Demand movies were unavailable. I was easily able to get the rest I needed.Clean & Comfortable I found the room clean and comfortable.

. Travelers tip on dining Dine at Melange, it was great. Staff was friendly and helpful.Ho Jo - Yakima Hotel was older, but in good condition.

. My only negative comment would be that the "hot tub" was lukewarm at best and the pool was freezing so we didn’t find them very inviting, but we were able to enjoy sitting in the sunshine by the pool which was nice. We were able to walk to the downtown area in the evening for dinner and drinks which was nice. We were able to get a room that overlooked the courtyard so it was nice and quiet. No frills, but clean and comfy We had a great stay.

. All kinds of fast foods not just Hamburgers. Onion rings are great. Travelers tip on dining Miner’s drive in is best food in town. No longer includes breakfast. Not impressed Have stayed here many times before, but it now looks like they are no longer maintaining as they have in the past.

. Had a great time.Good convenient hotel This is a good clean hotel to stay in in Yakima.

We were highly disappoint with this hotel for the "great" price. It was a selected list, and they were out of some items. Part of our stay was a breakfast included. The common area was in need of repair. One time is enough We were given a room that had not been cleaned.

Don’t stay here during the winter months. Cigarette smoke from outside waffled through the hotel’s entrance and into the hallways. The restuarant and bar were closed. Not impressed For the price paid through Expedia, this hotel had no food.

I woud say its just OK... It has some amenities and the food was good at the restaurant. The hotel is definetly in need of a refurbish, there is a lot of wear and tear visible. Retaurant food was good, needs refurbish There aren’t many hotels to choose from in Yakima...Its an OK Hotel .

. If it is advertised as having them, then they should work.Average to less than average The pool and jacuzzi were off.

. Great for softball, golf, swimming etc. We went to Wal-Mart and Target; I would not travel to Yakima to shop. I was there for class reunion. Travelers tip I grew up in Yakima Valley. Very nice pool for grandma and 4 year old. Again, we were surprised at how nice hotel was and plan to go back next summer for a weekend retreat. She was great!!!! calm and effecient and had everything cleared up in 15 min. Sarah, at Expedia, set the hotel straight. I was very surprised.Surpised at how nice rooms were with 4 pillows on nice beds; excellent service in Rest; great coffee When I checked in I was told that Expedia cancelled my reservation due to overbooking.

). (Two pieces of toast and mediocre coffee.Poor continental breakfast Cleanliness was good, the room was nice, and the pool area was excellent, but the free continental breakfast was about the worst I’ve ever had.

. Resturant is dark and depressing--eat in the bar. Price and value are fine for a quick overnight stay. It’s okay, but the mattress had a depression and the doors to the TV hutch wouldn’t stay open.Doesn’t merit the Expedia 3-Star Rating This is an older revamped hotel.

. Elevator made you wonder if it would make it to the 3rd floor where my room was located. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. My non smoking room smelled like the smoker’s area where I work Bureau was missing 3 handles.

. When I asked later at the front desk, I was told we didn’t get breakfast with our room rate and that they didn’t have any hotel information available. There was no hotel directory in the room to provide ANY information. Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay If you book through Expedia and get the package with breakfast, be sure to ask for the vouchers and for serving hours when you check in, as you won’t get them otherwise.and not a great deal, even at the Expedia price... And generally the hotel isn’t horrible, just not up to expectations. The location is convenient to downtown though.although it has a somewhat permanent [painted to match the building] look to it); the pool is under construction; and the room plumbing fixtures are 70’s vintage and not in good condition... The common areas need an update (which the hotel appears to be in the middle of from the shipping container in the back parking lot.or general apathy of the staff... The price was good, which probably should have been an indicator, but I wasn’t expecting the tired appearance.and It Isn’t Bad I guess it’s been a while since I stayed at a HoJo’s, because I was expecting a better quality hotel...Lower Your Expectations.
