We found a new Favorite Hotel to stay at.We tried the Hyatt Place in Dallas after being referred by a friend. My husband loved it the minute he saw the 42 inch HD flat screen TV! The room was stylish and comfortable, great linens, down pillows, nice carpet and clean too. The price was amazing when we stayed, of course it may vary. It will definitely be our first choice when we return!Rating:5
Very recommenededWe booked this the day before our arrival and the price was great. The day of the trip there was a delay in our leaving and we were unable to checkin before our event. Our arrival at the hotel was early in the morning of our suppose to be check out date and the hotel staff was great to get us checked in and off to bed. They even granted us a little extra sleep time when they extended our checkout time. I will stay here again as well as others in the hotel chain.Rating:3
Nice room but no peaceThe hotel was beautiful and my hubby loved the 42-in flat screen in the room (go figure) but I did not have a peaceful night. We stayed on the 1st floor near the pool and I guess it was near the kitchen as well. All I heard all night and early morning were slamming doors. Im sure maybe a different floor may be better just no where near the pool or kitchen area.
Travelers tip on diningDel Friscos right in front of the hotel was nice and the steaks were good but not worth what they charge.Rating:4
Nearly PerfectI enjoyed this hotel. The only reason I did not rate it 5 across the board was due to one of the two elevators being out of order for most of the time I was there. One of the other guests mentioned it had been out for several days. It was repaired by my second night.Rating:5
excellent valueFirst time in a hyatt place. Selected for proximity to my meeting on a quick in and out trip. Staff shuttled me to nearby meeting place so I didnt need to wait for a taxi. Very easy and helpful. Comfortable room. Healthy breakfast options and workout facility all part of price.Rating:5
Wonderful HotelStaying at the Hyatt Place North Dallas was a very pleasant experience. It was close to all the places we wanted to visit. Staff and service was excellent. When asking for extra towels....they were delivered within minutes. I would most certainly recommend this hotel to everyone. This is the second time weve stayed at a Hyatt Hotel and it will be the hotel we will use on our future trips. Thank you for your wonderful service.Rating:5
Hyatt PlaceI had a great experience here.Rating:5
Very Cool Contemporary HotelThe rooms are very modern and sleek. A nice change from the ordinary and flat screen TV. Location is great near the Galleria. Loved it!Rating:5
Very comfortableThis was a great hotel to stay in. The rooms were big and we had plenty of room. The front desk was very helpful with directions and local information. We will stay there again on our next Dallas trip!Rating:5
ENJOYED THE HYATT PLACE DALLASThe employees were super friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and the room layout was very nice. I loved the large flat screen that could be turned towards the bed or the living room. The breakfast was just right with fresh fruit, bagels coffee and juice. Employees were very eager to help with anything. Just an fyi, it was my first time to Texas, lots of tolls so make sure to bring lots of change and dollar bills with you.
Travelers tip on diningI took clients out to eat and Texas is all about steak and let me tell you, it didnt matter where we ate, steaks were fab. The restaurant in front of the hotel was amazing but definitely pricey and more of an adult restaurant.Rating:5
Exceeded ExpectationsClean, wonderful staff, big rooms. Will stay there every time Im in Dallas.
Travelers tip on diningThe Steak house in front of the hotel is wonderful. Great service, delicious food.Rating:5
Way above expectationsI like to go to Dallas several times a year to shop and Addison is very central with great restaurant choices. Ive stayed several places in the area and this is by far the best by cost and comfort. I paid online and forgot to bring my card and they still went over and above to help me. They turned what could have been a frustrating situation into an opportunity for outstanding customer service. Ive found my hotel. Thank you.Rating:4
heating and airthe hotel was great everything except for the heating and air because of a wall dividin the rooms it would be cold on one side but hot on the other other than that it was goodRating:5
Trendy and comfortableThe automated check-in was a great service compared with waiting in long lines at another hotel. The staff we did talk to were friendly; the lobby definitely had a good feel to it. The rooms were great from the stylish living area to the comfy bed and humangous flatscreen tv. The only bad thing I have to say about this hotel was that the air conditioner had a weird smell, and the rooms were a little too warm without it for comfort, despite it being cold outside.Rating:4
Priced Right and ConvenientVery comfortable and convenient for our needs. Bathroom was a little small for comfort. However, everthing else was great. We plan on going back to this hotel if we need to go back to Dallas.Rating:5
Awesome stay!!!!This Hotel definitely exceeded our expectations. We would not hesitate to stay here again. The staff was very helpful providing essentials when they found out Continental airlines lost our luggage.
Travelers tip on shoppingWe were only a few blocks away from one of the best malls weve ever seen.Rating:5
Outstanding ValueIm a high-mileage traveler and this was one of the most pleasant hotel surprises I can remember. The staff was friendly and courteous and the hotel amenities were terrific. The room was in perfect shape, with the large-screen HDTV on wall-mounted swivel and viewable from every angle. Hyatts Grand bed is wonderful, too.Rating:4
Above AverageExcellent location for shopping with easy access to downtown area. Difficult to reach Texas Stadium. Odd room setup with TV halfway between bed area and living room area. Breakfast with more selections than most continental breakfasts.Rating:5
Very Nice HotelThis hotel was very nice and very clean. We went down to Dallas to do some shopping at the Galaria Mall and go to Dave and Busters. It was in a good location. No complaintsRating:5
Large roomsThe hotel rooms were quite spacious and comfortable. We had three people in the room and did not feel cramped for space.Rating:5
Nicely DecoratedThe hotel was very modern and rooms were cutely decorated! Lots of amenities! The fitness room wasnt as great as they thought...a free treadmills, bikes, and free weights. There wasnt much at the continental breakfast, anything hot was extra. Overall, it was a nice hotel and I would go back.Rating:5
Niiice! The hotel staff made me feel welcome. They were great. The deco is nice, and the TV is awesome (Even though we didnt watch it much)! This is probably the only hotel I will stay at when I go to Dallas. Reasonable price, good service... What more can you ask for?Rating:5
Solid Business-Economy HotelPerfectly comfortable but dont expect the luxe atmosphere of the flagship brands. Expect something similar to the other major brands business-oriented economy hotels. This is Hyatts new venture into this market with a new concept of the lobby experience: Automated check in, snacks and sandwiches right in the lobby ("gallery") 24/7. Remodeled, clean, modern semi-suite room design. Mini fridge but no microwave. Smallish shower. 42" LG plasma TV is nice. I stayed at another the next week in San Antonio and the design was exactly the same. Only problem I had is one I have encountered at a zillion other hotel breakfast bars: the dreaded practice of melon-cyling. The same batch of honeydew and cantelope is cycled in and out of the cooler all week. Please, hotel industry ...No amount of Fruit Fresh can make this work. Cut it fresh at least every other day.
Travelers tip for business travelersThis is in a "dry" county so no packaged alcohol sales within walking distance -you can get bottled beer at the snack counter until 11pm or anything at nearby restaurants. $40-45 incl/tip taxi to DFW. New AV port design on TV allows you to connect DVD player or notebook computer to it (but no wide-aspect VGA resolutions). For notebook, bring a VGA cable and stereo mini-to-mini audio cable to connect. Remember to tip your housekeeping staff. They work hard for low pay. Happy Travels!Rating:5
Modern and Stylish HotelThe hotel is very modern and stylish. Its location is close to the highway, dining and much more. The staff was friendly and helpful.Rating:4
Different from a normal hotelThis is not like a normal hotel, it is more like corporate apartments. Not a criticism, but it wasnt what I was expecting. The room was very nice.
