Reviews

. Travelers tip on shopping For the deep pocket traveler, Greenwich Avenue has lots of boutiques and upscale stores. This is a very reliable hotel with good services. The valet and bell service has always been very polite and helpful. We have eaten there before, and the food was quite good. This trip, we stayed only one night and, other than the room, we really didn’t take advantage of any of the hotel’s services.Very reliable hotel We’ve stayed at this hotel a number of times.

. The facility and the room itself were very nice.Very nice hotel My only reservation about this hotel is that the dinner was not as good as my husband and I would have expected.

hotel feels very upscale for the price and is easy to get to.C.Y.Great way to save $$$ over a N.

. No 4 star hotel in my opinion. The concierge service was a self-service computer touch screen and printer. This hotel very pricy as well as the restraurant.00/day for internet service. If you plan on bringing your computer, plan on paying 10.00/day for valet parking) rediculous.00/day or 20. Also the guests have to pay to park their car in the hotel parking lot (10.Won’t go back Upon arrival hotel room was not ready, had to take another room until the am and we had to wait to have the room cleaned.

a great scenic park on the sound awaits you!... If you have the legs for it, continue past the suggested route out to Todd’s Point. Travelers tip on recreational activities Try the run through Old Greenwich. Enjoy.great, safe route down through Old Greenwich... As well, went for a jog in the morning and appreciated the StayFit running map ready and waiting at the front desk. No flat screen tv’s, comp breakfast, impressive lockroom or knock-your-socks-off fitness center, but altogether a very nice place. The workout area and pool/hot tub all worked out well. The beds were comfy. The room was also a tad dated, but very adequate. The staff was friendly. The property is a tad dated, but well maintained. With our Greenwich office just a few minutes up the road, the location was idea.Very nice stay I stayed one night at the Hyatt Regency recently for work.

. We will definitely return. We especially enjoyed the hotel amenities such as the fitness room, the sunlit lobby courtyard, morning Starbucks coffee and teas, and the courtyard lounge. Our room was clean and well appointed. All staff were courteous and helpful.Excellent service and quality We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Regency in Old Greenwich.

. Although not close to anything really. Would recommend. Oh well though. One bad part, was booked for a nonsmoking room and couldnt change to smoking so had to smoke outside in the dead of winter. Overall good hotel and service. Food/Drink outrageous.Expensive but Nice Courtyard was fantastic.

It’s one thing to have to deal with rude and incompetent service -- it’s another to be taken for a sucker! Won’t return and suggest you stay away too!. I asked the management for an apology after the mistaken wake up call on Saturday -- you know what they offered? a free newspaper -- which I discovered was standard service. This after delivering me a wedding party basket by mistake the night before, followed by no room cleaning all day on Sunday, and then no one available for an early morning checkout on Tuesday morning almost making me miss my flight. Turns out they called me by mistake.Disappointed with the Hyatt in Old Greenwhich, Conn Wow -- a wake up call at 7:30 AM on a Saturday morning; would be great except that after a very busy week I was planning on sleeping in.

. For the price, it was nothing special. And I like to open the curtains, but the window looked right onto the inner courtyard full of people eating and drinking, so I had to keep them closed. But the room was very ordinary with only the routine amenities; no minibar, for instance. It was ok The atrium is a showpiece, with fountains, pools, etc.

But overall EXCELLENT stay!.Excellent Hotel After travelling for several hours and checking in after 10:00pm would have been nice if the gift shop was open for an "emergency" item I needed.

.Nice experience Excellent food, nice service.

. Other than the shuttle situation, they were very friendly and accommodating. It also happened to be Mother’s Day weekend, and when we asked if there was a shuttle that could take us into town on Sunday morning, we were told it wasn’t running because they were "busy" with Mother’s Day brunch. They did call a cab for us which was there within 10 minutes, but it wasn’t free. When we arrived at the train station and called for a shuttle, we were told that the driver was not in that evening, and we’d need to take a cab. Speaking of walking, check to make sure the free shuttle actually is running. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a little relaxation and peace. It’s a little outside of the old part of town, but if you’re not afraid of a little walking, it’s a beautiful walk through some lovely neighborhoods and parks to get to the main street. We couldn’t have picked a better place! The atrium is beautiful, and very relaxing to just sit, have some drinks, talk and people watch.Great place for a relaxing weekend We just needed to get out of the city for a weekend, and picked the Hyatt Old Greenwich as a last minute option.

. And the check out and check in time were the motivation in choosing this hotel. The swimming pool, jacuzzi and exercise room were enjoyable.Great Hotel I was very impressed with the atrium, it gives the illusion that your are in a lushious garden.

Travelers tip None. Will never go to this hotel again.Totally unacceptable.finally manager along with workman entering the room with master key without knocking.Totally out of character for a Hyatt in my estimation.Shower mixer comes off in my hand. This is not good.m.Housekeeping knocking on door at 9:30a.Not happy with Hyatt Greenwich Do not disturb sign missing from room.

We even saw Phil Collins there that night!!. The Food was fantastic, valet parking, waitstaff was attentive. Highly recommend!! Travelers tip on dining We ate at a restaurant a few blocks away called ValBella!!. I felt like I was on a cruise ship. Gift shop had everything you could possibly need.Dining in the area Beautiful Hotel, very nice staff, very attentive, everyone was always smiling.

. Also, they mysteriously charged my credit card an extra $250+, but couldn’t figure out why when I called - apparently I have to wait to see if the charges magically disappeared. The breakfast was fantastic, and the service there was wonderful, but the front desk seemed very disorganized.Great location, could be better organized We stayed at the Hyatt for a wedding, so we didn’t need the full range of services, although the hotel could use a renovation, judging from the condition of the rooms.

. Don’t forget to make a reservation in advance. Travelers tip on dining Sunday brunch in the hotel’s atrium was lovely, but be sure you have an appetite! Huge selection of foods and nonstop champagne. Look forward to a return visit. Food was excellent. Comfortable room overlooking the atrium where we ate dinner Saturday evening and brunch on Sunday.Great Weekend Getaway My husband and I enjoyed this hotel for a one-night weekend getaway to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

. Other than that, which is minor, we were most pleased. Was actually a love seat with no pull-out bed. Room was described as having a sofa. Buffet breakfast was delicious and service wonderful. Staff was stellar and very responsive.Would definitely go back Our stay was extremely pleasant.

Nice Would return if in the area.
