Very SatisfiedI defiantly recommend this hotel. near ocean , very nice stuff . Very helpful . We had breakfast every morning included. So everything was great.Rating:5
Loved the pool/barWe just got back and are already planning another trip. The pool and bar area are great. There is live music at night, the hotel is steps away from the beach, is centrally located and the view from the spa is exactly how it looks on the web site. The hotel staff were always friendly and helpful and there is an expedia desk located in the lobby who gave out helpful and useful info to us on numerous occasions.
Travelers tip on saving a few bucksYoull be surprised how much you use the ABC stores. Save your receipts for free gifts. Also, watch and listen to the surfer instructors on the beach for a day or 2 then walk down the street and rent a board for half as much and twice as long. Dont forget your sunscreen.Rating:1
No water no Air conditioningUnbelievable. Water system upgrade our first night. No water, no notice by Expedia, no air conditioning. No toilet usable. One single mens toilet in a parking lot across the street for the male guests. Pathetic 4 ounce bottles of water provided when complained to night manager for refund. No refund. Witnessed others complaining, too, when no water at time promised. Day manager sent a bottle of wine....Lost some weight perspiring all night
Travelers tip on saving a few bucksBring your own sunscreenRating:5
hyattwould definatly recomend this hotel to anyoneRating:5
will consider Hyatt again....stayed on the Ewa tower 11th floor ... nice.. kind and helpful housekeeping service.. Susan provided us everything we need in the room. The only disappointment we had was, we arrived at 1PM at the hotel and had to wait for 3PM check in,my husband and I were so tired, they could have offered us an early check in considering the time difference where we came from, we needed some rest and sleep. No energy to watch the Aloha festival that night. All in all this will not stop us from returning at The Hyatt.
Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stayyou must try the parasailing at Maunalua Bay as for dining, the Terrace Grille at the Hyatt is far so good and affordable. Swap meet for good prices for your take home souvenirs and gifts, but you need to use your bargaining skills.Rating:4
Hyatt HotelThe cost for parking was extremly high more than the cost to rent the car for the day. Otherwise the staff was very helpful and accomodating. It was hard to find the entrance to the hotel as well as the main lobby which was located on the second floor. It seemed like we kept going in circles before we finally found it.
Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stayWe realized that you dont really need to have a vehicle since there are plenty of buses and shuttles that take you anywhere you want to go.Rating:5
Elegant HotelThe hotel is the other side of the street from Waikiki Beach. Some rooms have a partial view of the beach. The noise from the street below is significant when the sliders are open. The elevator for the rooms does not go all the way to the street level, they stop at the 2nd floor. So you have to use an escalator to get to street level--not real convenient if youre handling your own bags. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Great location. I would stay there again.
Travelers tip on diningTry the Hawaiian Coffee shop across the street at the Moana Surfrider hotel. Great!Rating:3
Ok but wouldnt rush back!Great location, right opposite the beach. Hotel was ok, room was just average. The bathroom was a bit weird as it had carpet! Its a huge hotel & breakfast there was a always a huge queue so we never ended up eating there as we couldnt be bothered waiting! For a Hyatt hotel I was quite disappointed as have stayed in hyatts before & they have always been nice. However we were only there for 2 nights so it was fine! If I was going back Waikiki I would go to another hotelRating:1
bugsWe found bugs in our room. I have never seen such bugs in 4 star hotels.Rating:3
not impressednot kindness not clearance not calm good a locationRating:3
Noisy and in need of updatingStarts with a full package trip and the hotel not being ready to check-in when we arrived. So we left our bas which they said would be in our room when we came back. Came back in 2 hours, checked in, got a nice room on floor 31, no bags. Called down and waited for bags then realized the sound in the room (which sounded like somebody moving furniture) was actually the elevator bank noisily scrapping their way up and down up and down. When we got our bags we called the front to change rooms to something preferably under 50 decibles but they didnt have any... hard to believe when Hawaii is in such a bad recession and they had 30% decline in tourism plastered on every newspaper and news report. Was able to change rooms the next day after a sleepless night. Moved us to 14th floor with ocean view. Shouldnt be any problem with that, right? Except some surfing expo right on the beach across the street that started blaring air horns from 6:30am every day (including Saturday) and went until after dark every night. Also woken up by drummer parks outside the hotel at 2:00am; had to call the front again to get them to go outside and shut them up. Overall, not satisfied with the expeirence.
Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stayThe entire north side of Oahu was incredible. Drove around a lot and really enjoyed the beach off the air strip on the north shore. Enjoyed the Pupukea and Sunset Beach area. Lots of little cute places on north side.Rating:5
I loved my location!!!!Everything is so close by, beach, shopping and nightlife. It was absolutely the best place to stay. Staff was nice and so helpful in getting around town and Oahu. Our room was always clean. I love the fact that you can borrow towels at the pool to take to the beach. My husband, and especially my kids, never got bored. We just got back Aug. 30th, stayed the whole week there and never had any problems. I totally recommend this hotel for families. For sure this will be the place I would stay again in Oahu. Mahola!
Travelers tip on saving a few bucksWaikiki is very expensive but if you get out of Waikiki thats were you will find good deals on dining and/or shopping. Although the ABC Store is reasonable and there everywhere.Rating:4
will stay againgood location and good serviceRating:5
An experience to rememberAs my first ever visit to Hawaii, this hotel made it a trip to remember. The specatacular interior waterfall and rain forest style atrium was a special touch and added cachet to the premises.Although the interiors were a bit dark it was not gloomily so and if anything helped to mitigate the heat and humidity.Untypically for US hotels a lavish buffet-style "stuff your face" breakfast was included in the price and Ihappily and greedily availed myself of this facility.Lots of shops on the hotel premisies to browse through, mostly emporia style stores but with one of the ubiquitous ABC stores to provide essential needs. My room on 31st floor had very good view of Waikiki beach although the sight of the other hotel tower was obtrusive. All the staff that I encountered were pleasantly polite and helpful and my commodious room was kept meticulously clean. If there are to be any gripes at all it would have to be two things, firstly the surcharge for the internet, lesser hotels offer that for free and the bathroom was nothing special and failed to match up to the comfort and decor of the rest of the room. All told,I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to any visitor to Hawaii.
Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stayTwo things that you must visirt are firstly Pearl Harbour just outside Honolulu on the other side of the airport and North Shore and its environs on Oahu.Skip the Polynesian Cultural Center, its just another anondyne theme park and Doles Pineapple plantation whilst instructive was also overly commercialisedRating:5
the hotel staff are very nicei lost my cellphone and i got it back ,hotel staff brought it back and they are really niceRating:5
Great hotel for the priceClean room with great views friendly staff made our stay enjoyable.Rating:4
Very pricey hotel! But Hawaii is pricey in general! This hotel is pricey, especially on food! Which I was not impressed. $25 breakfast buffet is ridiculous when the food was nothing to rave about. Drinks were great at the bar. Pool is extreamly small for such a big hotel. Overall the staff was great and nice all the time. Their Expedia help desk helped us plan any activities we wanted to do!! The beach is across the street but wouldve rathered have stayed at a hotel w/privite beach b/c it was crowded and had to pay $25 any day we wanted an umbrella and chairs to lay on.
Travelers tip on diningDukes on the beach had great food and drinks!Rating:5
A very nice hotelWe got a free upgrade from City View Room to Partial Ocean View Room. The hotel service and atmosphere is nice and it is extremely close to the Waikiki Beach. It is very convenient for shoppers and windsurfers! Every room has a balcony for you to enjoy the Ocean view.Rating:5
Location, location, location!Great location, excellent service. Friendly helpful staff. Clean rooms, good food and the location in Waikiki could not get much better! In the middle of everything! Beautiful views of ocean and mountains and the city. I do wish they had a dresser-I hate living out of a suit case and I had to because it was myself with my 3 kids and there were only 3 drawers along with the closet. Other than that-it was a great place to stay and would go back.Rating:5
great for a relaxing vacation.great hotel. close to the beach. convenient. everything you need to just relax.Rating:2
not impressed at allDid not have my room ready at 5 PM. Offered me a king size bed to change it next day to room that was requested 41 days before my arrival. No upgrades what so ever. Too times key to the room didnot work called for the service still no appology.I will never go back to that hotel.

Everything was great except....Everything about the hotel was great, including the cleanliness and the view. Except...we were on our honeymoon and they gave us the double beds instead of king/queen size bed. Plus, the room was right by the elevator. Besides the bed issue, everything else was great though. Great location and great service (especially the pool).Rating:5
Awesome hotel for the moneyThe hyatt is a great place to stay. Location is wonderful and our stay was perfect. I will definitely be headed back.Rating:5
Cant wait to go backCant wait to go back.Rating:5
Cant wait to go backThe location and amenities at this hotel were perfect for our family. The staff was excellent and always willing to help with a smile. Beach and surf boards were right accross the street and location for walking to shopping, restaurants, aquarium etc was great. You can check out towels and tote bag at pool to go to beach. If you want to see the ocean from your room make sure you get the deluxe ocean view as the "ocean" view really didnt seem to have one.
