. Would definately stay there again. First night we were there was a bachelorette party next door that was really noisy and we asked to be moved which they did with no hesitation. The restaurant was fabulous. It was undergoing construction while we were there which took away from the ambience.Good location
This hotel is in a really good location close to Union Square.
. Only stayed 1 night but service at the desk and doorman was a good experience. Other than that the room was comfortable, especially the bed, and clean.Lovely despite construction
Hotel was going through some rennovations so they had tarps and scaffolding up.
. also they were remodeling the exterior which gave it an unfinished look and shouldnt be like that or at least they should let you know. its located on an excellent area, but the rooms and the feel of the hotel was oldish.Good, but not THAT good
In my opinion, this hotel s not worth the price.
95 per day?
Travelers tip on dining
Sears Fine Foods is great for breakfast, and we found the Millenium and Greens the best vegetarian restaurants ever!!. Why do smaller boutique hotels have free wireless access but the big chain hotels charge $12. Excellent restaurants and fun Fringe Festival within walking distance. Quiet, but conveniently close to Union Square.
Very comfortable room with AC and ability to open window.Clean, comfortable, quiet.
.Excellent Hotel
Staff was very courteous and food was great.
. Weve stayed here before and will be back. The rooms are nice.Great Location
The location is just one block from Union Square, the staff is really great, and we love that the windows open for fresh air in the room.
. Thanks you. The remainder of our time we spent very little time in the hotel; so it was no problem. But still a good idea to let people know ahead of time. I do know that its important to continuously upgrade and renovate; as I would want to stay in a hotel that did such. The day we arrived it was extremely noisy with scaffolding and hammering in the elevator area. However I do think its a good idea to let a person know if renovations are being done.Renovations
Everything was great with this property.
San Francisco is an incredible place to visit; the JW Marriott just made it all perfect! Thank you and hope to return very soon!. The amenities, staffing, location, and general ambiance of professionalism and attention to guests needs added significantly to a very memorable trip.Outstanding!
Our first trip to San Francisco was phenomenal including our stay at the JW Marriott.

Travelers tip on local attractions
Buy a muni pass for city and you can ride all transit and not have to look for money. only a few inconveniences, ice not on floor and have to order room service, and they took 45 minutes for ice, no drawers to speak of in room for you clothes but nice closet. Very comfortable.Good hotel and great location
Location was very good and room was very clean.
. You will have paid for your public transportation for the week (except BART) and admission to some really cool attractions.
Travelers tip on saving a few bucks
If youre going to be there for a week, and intend on seeing most of the attractions, I would strongly suggest purchasing the City Pass. Everyone bent over backwards to help make the trip a most enjoyable experience. The concierge was extremely pleasant and most helpful.Couldnt be happier
The location was perfect, in the hub of transportation.
.Excellent location
.
. Take it all the way to Fishermans Warf. The ride is $5 for one stop. Dont go to the beginning of or else youll wait in line for at least one hour.

Pickup the cable car at the second stop. Outside was under construction. Only bad thing was that the shower door did not close. Only four stars.Nice Hotel
Typical hotel room.

Travelers tip on dining
north beach pizza is excellent for a cheap meal, but parking is limited. were excellent. I was not happy about that, but the hotel accom. I asked to speak to a manager and then some way they found 2 double beds. Not good. They said I will give you a King and a pull out couch. was with 2 doubles. I told them the reserv. They told me they do not have double beds in this hotel. Not impressed with the check in
Initially, we booked a room with 2 double beds.
.Excellent
Excellent location, attentive staff, contemporary and comfortable ambiance! Overall a great experience!

Booked through Expedia with several friends and received a discount. Location ideal - centrally located and within walking distance to great shopping and the Financial District. Staff members were courteous and helpful.all marble tile (even the walls)... The best part was the bathroom. I booked one room with double beds for four nights, and found the room to be spacious and comfortable. A good mix of business professionals, tourists, and families.Pleasantly Surprised
The hotel atmosphere was pristine, modern, and trendy, which I did not expect of a JW Marriott.
Travelers tip on shopping
You are very close to shopping especially if you love saks and Neiman Marcus. But yes I would tell people about the hotel and when I travel I try to stay at a JW they are the best. It was just a little to soft for me. But one little thing the bed was a little hard to like maybe if they where medium to firm it would of been good. Room service was the best and not to mention the house keeper made sure every thing was put in place and clean. Great customer service people are always happy when you get in and out of the hotel. I love my trip and Ill be coming back soon
I love the hotel itself.Great location very close to cable car and shopping too.
. Plan to spend a bundle though, but dont let it hold you back from this experience.Great hotel
Awesome bathrooms!

Gary Danko for the most amazing meal of your life.
.
Hotel service not that accomodating.......Good location.
Otherwise, pick something else. I would only pick this hotel at an extreme value. The staff was indifferent and unhelpful and the room average at best. I assumed the JW Marriott would be a premium hotel given that the JW Marriott was suppose to be their premium brand.OK at less the a hundred dollars
I am a loyal Marriott customer which is why I picked this hotel.

clost to the cable car.... The bed little uncomfortable
Great. The staff was very helpful.Ovae all it was great location and comfort.
. The historic Powell Street Cable Car is only one block from the hotel, make sure you catch a ride on it.S. P. The City Pass cost $64 dollars (only $50 when you buy it with your trip on Expedia)and is worth every penny! You get 5 attractions and unlimted use of the city transportation system including the historic cable cars.
Travelers tip on local attractions
Make sure you buy a City Pass at the Visitors Center, which is located only 4 blocks from this hotel. We will stay again and again at this hotel on our return visits to this fun and exciting city. There were many delicious resturants in the area surrounding the hotel so we had no trouble finding an alternative. I could have eaten something but my husband would have gone hungry. It was beautiful and the staff were extremly helpful but we are from Louisiana and the food was quite exotic for our taste. The only thing that we did not like about the hotel was the resturant, Level III. The room was done in very nice colors, a simple contrasting wall in the foyer really set off the room. When we steped into our room, the view took our breath away!! We stayed on the 12th floor and had a corner room. Then, the valet parked our car in the hotels safe and secure garage. While we checked in, the bellhop unloaded our luggage from the car and had it delivered to the room.Must see in person to appriciate, words just dont do it justice!
Upon our arrival to the hotel we instantly felt pampered.
. You can jump on at pretty much any corner along the route it travels and not wait (much). Second thing, dont go to the terminus to grab the cable car to Fishermans Wharf - you will have to stand in line.

2 things - buy the Citipass Muni Pass that lets you ride pretty much any buss, trolley, cable car or light rail train - great way to get around. No noise, excellent. It is extremely well situated. Door staff was exceptional at getting us a cab even on early Sunday morning.Beautiful and comfortable
Not much for writing these, but the hotel was absolutely excellent.
. Go early to beat the lines. It is 2 blocks away on Powell St.

Go to Sears Restaurant for breakfast. The location was perfect, especially if you love to shop. They answered all of our questions. The staff were friendly and attentive. We LOVED the hotel!!! The room was comfortable and inviting.Wonderful stay in San Francisco
My mom and I stayed here for Memorial Day weekend.
Nice place to stay.City view was not that great, but room was outstanding.
. Excellent Cosmopolitans in the lobby bar.Enjoyable stay
Very nice room, beautiful bathroom, easy walking distance from many great stores and restaurants including one of our favorites, Le Colonial.
