    Basic, but nice

Great location, basic rooms. Perfect if you just need a place to sleep. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance. You can park for free if you park a block away or so, just a couple of minutes walk. We stayed here for 5 days and always managed to find parking.

Staff friendly and helpful. Restaurant food and service great. The morning music delightful. Laundry facilities met our needs.

Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay

There is an Internet Cafe close by. There is a ’used book store’ close by too.

    Nice Old Hotel

This is a very old but well maintained hotel with an excellent location in the heart of Kona. Nothing fancy but reasonably priced with two pools and the staff is very friendly.

    Ok for the price

We stayed here only for one night. The hotel was okay and the room was clean. The air conditioning in the room was very noisy and it made it difficult for us to sleep. I think that for the price we paid it was a good deal. I wouldn’t pick up this hotel for a longer stay though.

    nice economic hotel

it’s fine but nothing fancy. my only complaint is that the TV was too small. other than that it is a great location, staff is extremely friendly and room was clean. the little restaurant attached is a great place for breakfast- the lady who sings every morning strumming the ukelele is a nice way to start the day. plus it has a perfect view of the water and boats from this restuarant.

Support the real locals - Hawaiians

The hotel was perfect for what we needed it for...saved a few bucks, good night sleep, and meet some "real" locals. The hotel was located a centralized location for shopping, dinning, sight seeing, and getting to know the "real" locals. Support the local and the Hawaiians!

Room was OK. Location was excellent.

The room was a good size. It wasn’t fancy. The only issue was that it was hotter than usual when we got there and the small air conditioner struggled to keep up. The air conditioner was also noisy enough to make it hard to sleep when the fan speed was turned up. There was a television and small refrigerator. The location was excellent. It’s in the heart of Kailua, by shops and restaurants.

    A fine place to stay.

This hotel was a clean, comfortable, reasonably priced place to stay .I stayed at this chain in both Hilo and Kona and was very satisfied. Not luxurious, but comfortable

    Plan to book again.

We just did an overnighter and we were empress by the quick service and check out at the front desk. The room was comfortable and clean; we were on the 2nd floor above the swimming pool which was nice.

Travelers tip on saving a few bucks

    Least expensive for an overnighter.

    Kona Seaside Fantastic Location!

Close to a lot of must see tourist locations. Very close to the ocean, lovely view! Go to Tante’s restaurant.

    Travelers tip on recreational activities

Glass bottom boat and historical cruise were wonderful! Tante’s restaurant with ocean view, polynesian dishes and woman playing ukele and singing Hawaiian songs was fantastic! Go to the seahorse farm! Incredible experience of a lifetime!

    convenient vacation extension

We stretched our vacation 3 days until the rest of our party arrived. This was the cheapest place to wait out without the car. Walking distance to reasonable priced shopping. The hotel exceeded our expectations. Garden view room had quite a bit of ocean view. Two clean swimming pools much warmer than later resort accomodations. Lovely terrace with ocean view and oceanside tourist traffic below. Nice gardens.

    Travelers tip on shopping

Local stores per hotel clark are 30% more expensive, try 300%. If you do not mind a healthy walk, Walmart will save you $$$

    Clean, but a little dated

The room was clean. The hotel reminded me of rooms from the ’70s or 80s. Kona coffee is served in the morning. Staff was friendly.

Travelers tip on saving a few bucks

If you pay for hotel parking you will get a parking pass. As long as the pass is valid, park in the hotel and walk to the Kona shore area. Parking in Kona is tight and the parking lot is expensive. Tante’s restaurant by the bay was good.

Best hotel with the best location

I would reccoment this hotel, not only was everything with in distant. The hotel staff was very accomodating. The restaurant and the laundry room located at the hotel was a plus. My son loved the two pools eventhough one was closed most of the time.

Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay

You will need a car to get to most places eventhough they have a bus that can take you to fairly close places. the beach is located in the back of the hotel, which offers snorkeling and boating tours.

Loud drunk playing the guitar at midnight.

Called room service...they did nothing. Place is a total dump..the stairwells look like a crackhead paradise...love that frayed fuzzy carpet around the outside of the elevator...get what you pay for I guess.

Just right for the money...and near the water and the action.

Room was the best rate for the area. Hotel is right near the ocean and walking distance to shopping and restaurants. The hotel is old and hasn’t been updated but if your not expecting a resort you will be happy. There are two pools to enjoy and the staff was very helpful. The room was very muggy at first so you will have to turn the AC on full blast to cool the room down (its a window unit).

    Good enough

The hotel could have been a little nicer appreance wise, but it is wonderfuly placed in the heart of Kona. Within walking distance to many attractions and restaurants. They cleaned our room everyday. Overall, it was very nice and I would recommend it.
