. We stayed here for 5 days and always managed to find parking. You can park for free if you park a block away or so, just a couple of minutes walk. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance. Perfect if you just need a place to sleep.Basic, but nice
Great location, basic rooms.
. There is a used book store close by too.

Staff friendly and helpful.
.The hotel charges for parking but less than 1 block away is free parking area we parked there and had no problems. The hotel is also very close to a outdoor market where you can get many fresh fruits.

Cheap Hotel.
. Nothing fancy but reasonably priced with two pools and the staff is very friendly.Nice Old Hotel
This is a very old but well maintained hotel with an excellent location in the heart of Kona.
Was tipical l
Mid cost hotel, would be advisable to include parking with the room.
. I wouldnt pick up this hotel for a longer stay though. I think that for the price we paid it was a good deal. The air conditioning in the room was very noisy and it made it difficult for us to sleep. The hotel was okay and the room was clean.Ok for the price
We stayed here only for one night.
. plus it has a perfect view of the water and boats from this restuarant. the little restaurant attached is a great place for breakfast- the lady who sings every morning strumming the ukelele is a nice way to start the day. other than that it is a great location, staff is extremely friendly and room was clean. my only complaint is that the TV was too small.Nice economic hotel
its fine but nothing fancy.
Support the local and the Hawaiians!. The hotel was located a centralized location for shopping, dinning, sight seeing, and getting to know the "real" locals.saved a few bucks, good night sleep, and meet some "real" locals...Support the real locals - Hawaiians
The hotel was perfect for what we needed it for.
. Its in the heart of Kailua, by shops and restaurants. The location was excellent. There was a television and small refrigerator. The air conditioner was also noisy enough to make it hard to sleep when the fan speed was turned up. The only issue was that it was hotter than usual when we got there and the small air conditioner struggled to keep up. It wasnt fancy.
The room was a good size. Location was excellent.Room was OK.
Not luxurious, but comfortable.I stayed at this chain in both Hilo and Kona and was very satisfied.
This hotel was a clean, comfortable, reasonably priced place to stay .A fine place to stay.

Least expensive for an overnighter. The room was comfortable and clean; we were on the 2nd floor above the swimming pool which was nice.
We just did an overnighter and we were empress by the quick service and check out at the front desk.Plan to book again.
Travelers tip on recreational activities
Glass bottom boat and historical cruise were wonderful! Tantes restaurant with ocean view, polynesian dishes and woman playing ukele and singing Hawaiian songs was fantastic! Go to the seahorse farm! Incredible experience of a lifetime!. Very close to the ocean, lovely view! Go to Tantes restaurant.Kona Seaside Fantastic Location!
Close to a lot of must see tourist locations.
If you do not mind a healthy walk, Walmart will save you $$$.
Travelers tip on shopping
Local stores per hotel clark are 30% more expensive, try 300%. Nice gardens. Lovely terrace with ocean view and oceanside tourist traffic below. Two clean swimming pools much warmer than later resort accomodations. Garden view room had quite a bit of ocean view. The hotel exceeded our expectations. Walking distance to reasonable priced shopping. This was the cheapest place to wait out without the car.Convenient vacation extension
We stretched our vacation 3 days until the rest of our party arrived.
. I was amazed at how quite the room was, no outside noises.Very quite room
Hotel room was clean, bed was OK.
. Tantes restaurant by the bay was good. Parking in Kona is tight and the parking lot is expensive. As long as the pass is valid, park in the hotel and walk to the Kona shore area.
Travelers tip on saving a few bucks
If you pay for hotel parking you will get a parking pass. Staff was friendly. Kona coffee is served in the morning. The hotel reminded me of rooms from the 70s or 80s.Clean, but a little dated
The room was clean.
.Kona Seaside
Good location, reasonable prices.
. Cool.
Travelers tip on shopping
Check out the shops on the strip. Mahalo Kona Seaside Hotel. We will be booking a room there again. The hotel is very quiet, clean rooms, no one bothers. Very close to shops and water.Relaxing
The location is awesome.
Travelers tip on local attractions
Reserve a luau in advance. The hotel is close to all the shops in Kona and the luaus are in walking distance. Room came with a fridge. They gave us a hot pot for making tea. The service was really good.Great service
It was a great place to stay for the price.
. Yes, Ill stay for 3rd time too. Near the center of town and got around by walking.Good room for money
2nd time stay for this hotel.
.
The window was shaking when I turn on the air-conditioner.It is a motel quality.
. the beach is located in the back of the hotel, which offers snorkeling and boating tours.
Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay
You will need a car to get to most places eventhough they have a bus that can take you to fairly close places. My son loved the two pools eventhough one was closed most of the time. The restaurant and the laundry room located at the hotel was a plus. The hotel staff was very accomodating.Best hotel with the best location
I would reccoment this hotel, not only was everything with in distant.
.get what you pay for I guess...love that frayed fuzzy carpet around the outside of the elevator...the stairwells look like a crackhead paradise.. Place is a total dump.they did nothing...
Called room service.Loud drunk playing the guitar at midnight.
. The room was very muggy at first so you will have to turn the AC on full blast to cool the room down (its a window unit). There are two pools to enjoy and the staff was very helpful. The hotel is old and hasnt been updated but if your not expecting a resort you will be happy. Hotel is right near the ocean and walking distance to shopping and restaurants.
Room was the best rate for the area.and near the water and the action...Just right for the money.
. A 2 hour lesson could save you hundreds.

Find out about the Shell Vacations club time share. Overall, it was very nice and I would recommend it. They cleaned our room everyday. Within walking distance to many attractions and restaurants.Good enough
The hotel could have been a little nicer appreance wise, but it is wonderfuly placed in the heart of Kona.
