    Nice for the price

It was close to Universal where we wanted to go. We stayed for 2 nights and the room was clean. They accepted pets at no additional charge (we brought our small dog). The price was cheap, for 2 days it was fine. The desk clerk at check in was friendly. Stay away from the people across from the front desk. They try to sell you reservations to tour a time share condo. They charge $10 and and tell you you can get a refund if you cancel. The manager of that operation was rude to me when I canceled and tried to make me feel like it was my fault for not keeping the reservation. He did give my money back after hasseling me. Not a nice way to start your day. UNiversal Islands of Adventure was great fun though!

    Worse Hotel ever!

When you first check in they are nice but as soon as you are checked in they dont give a crap. You would call the front desk they were rude, and if you dont want your room cleaned one day they think you dont want your room cleaned your entire stay so we had to call to say we need room service. And the only reason we didnt want the room cleaned the first day is because we were still sleeping but the rest of the time we were out by 7 and didnt return until 5 or 6 and our room was not cleaned.

    bad service, not worth it

I got here in mid June 2009 with my wife and two daughters for a five-day stay. As we entered the hotel, our first view was a person lying down on a sofa with his filthy shoes on top of the seats. This person turned out to be the reception desk guy and everything that happened after that just confirmed our first impression. Although announced in the description of the hotel, there was no wi-fi. The first day the sofa guy told us the connection was down because of a recent storm. When I asked again the second day, he just handed me a piece of paper with what he said was the internet service phone number and said "call them if you want to". Room cleanliness was below average and the breakfast area was even worse. Next time, I would try somewhere else.

    A pleasant Stay in Orlando

I stayed there for 9 days with my wife and two children, the hotel is located in a central place on I-drive close to all attractions, the hotell serves a complimentary breakfast which was simple but nice to start your day. Internet access is free but some rooms have low signal so we changed the room to a one closer to an internet point and that solved the problem. The hotel management is friendly. Two minor things, there are no safe box in the room and those at the reception are always taken, the hotel is pet friendly so one night we had a barking dog in the room beside us and we were not able to sleep. Other that that I recommend the hotel as a good value for your money

We got a discounted tocket for disney from the guy at the hotel, that was cheeper than disney but for universal we went with the online booking

    Nice Place Great Location

This La Quinta is really a good value for someone staying in Orlando. It is located right on International Drive and is close to almost everything. The front desk people were extremely courteous, the room was clean and in good condition. The free breakfast is a nice touch (waffles, toast, bagels, cereal etc.). The pool was really nice and clean as well. It would have been nice to have a hot tub but I knew they didn’t going in. The only things they fell behind on were: one day of our 5 night stay I actually wanted maid service and we left about 9 in the morning and got back around 3 and the only thing they had done was take our towels and I had to go ask for some more. The morning we were leaving a dog in a couple rooms down was barking like mad and the manager and maids just kind of stood around like they weren’t sure what to do about it. Otherwise it was a nice stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

    Travelers tip on local attractions

They offer shuttle service to the major parks. Nice and easy to get there but their return times aren’t very convenient so it will cost you about $8 to get back to the hotel by cab. Avoid eating around International Dr. if at all possible cause they really do take advantage of the tourists.

I would do it again all over, i really enjoyed the Hotel and all of its staff, everyone was friendly and accomodating. The only problem i had was the shuttles from the amusement parks were not punctual. usually 15-30 minnute wait past the scheduled time.

    A Place to Sleep

The room was not very clean. The noise from the icemaker in the hallway was disturbing while sleeping. A/C worked and bed was comfortable.

Close to Wet n Wild, and Sea World, but quite a ride to the Disney parks. One return shuttle (free) had NO A/C.

great location within 20 min from Disney parks. water park right across the street and plenty of things to do outside of disney. very clean and comfortable, friendly staff, free breakfast but get there early has very limited space. offers free shuttle to the parks but i do not recommend it.we got stranded and had to take a taxi back to the hotel but the hotel was kind enough to pay us back. i would recommend this hotel for anyone going to Disney.

    better than expected

for a cheaper hotel in orlando (while also including two of my "musts" being free breakfast and free transportation to the parks) this hotel definatly exceeded my expectations. first we arrrived pretty late in the evening, our flight had been delayed over an hour, and the staff member at the desk was extremely friendly. upon checking us in, without being asked at all, he looked to see if he could give us a free upgrade. this was a wonderful surprise! next, having had free breakfast at other hotels, i had expected your usual pastries and juice. to my surprise they actually had not only make-it-yourself waffles but they even had a toaster for your toast or bagles! let me tell you, this is rare! after breakfast we then waited for the provided transportation to the surrounding parks. i’d definatly say that some of this could be a little more organized but on the whole they were on time and got us where we wanted to be. no complaints there. there is a dennys right outside the hotel which was conveniant for a slightly cheaper meal and, with our free upgrade, we were able to save our leftovers for later. you can also play mini golf with little gators just down the street! all together the staff was very friendly and the hotel was better than expected. we’d definatly stay here again.

    economically a paradise

Great hotel for the location and money. If you can, get a suite which will accomodate your desire for a large room.(super large!) Staff was extremely helpful and curtious. When the shuttle forgot to pick me up from Universal Studios, the motel offered to pay for a cab for me.

No need to rent a car. Plenty of transportation options.

Ok Hotel for Location and Price

The hotel had free breakfast and was in a great location. The employees were very helpful with any questions we had. The bad part was the hotel smells musty. Our room smelled so musty we went to the nearest walgreens to get air freshners.

    Great location for great price

My family and I stayed here for our trip to Seaworld/Disney. The hotel is located in a perfect location. There is so much to do in International Drive. The staff was very helpful with directions. I would definately stay here again. Free breakfast was a plus!

    Travelers tip

If you plan to stay at this hotel you will not need a rental. There are so many free shuttles that pick you up at the hotel and take you to the parks.

    Pleasantly Surprised

The hotel was actually very clean and the staff was friendly. My only negative at all with the hotel was the shuttle service, which takes forever to get to the parks. To shuttle over to Universal which was about a mile away, it took us 40 minutes because of all the stops in between. Thinking about shuttling over to Disney? Be prepared for an hour ride.

    Travelers tip on nightlife

Citywalk is the place to go hands down. Downtown Disney was a ghost town and I went on a Friday night.

Would stay at this LaQuinta again

We booked 8 nights, and were very happy with our room, very clean, comfortable beds. It was nice to have a refrig in the room too. The breakfast was always good, fruit/cereal/waffles/french toast/good coffee. The eating area was clean and inviting. The front desk personnel were friendly and helpful, and the ticket "booth" person was also helpful with tickets for Disney. The location of this hotel is so close to Universal and there are plenty of family resturants within walking distance to the hotel. Also there are stores to buy snacks and beverages across the street and on the corner.

Travelers tip on saving a few bucks

Expedia is a great way to make travel plans. Our air tickets/care/hotel package was everything we expected. We walked to Universal Theme Parks, there is a shuttle from the hotel, so if you miss it coming back, it is an easy walk-20 minutes

    Serves the purpose

The hotel is run down, and smells funky. But that’s how most of the hotels are down there in my experience. It’s more like a motel quality. It is what it is, a cheap place to crash. Good location to Universal and Wet n Wild.

Travelers tip on saving a few bucks

Bring your AAA card. You can use it to get discounts at Universal for tickets as well as food.

    Best Service EVER!

We stayed here two years in a row because the service was incredible, the rooms were clean, the breakfast was delicious, and the location was close to everything. The night manager was very helpful and friendly. We will stay here the next time we are in Orlando!

Travelers tip on saving a few bucks

Free shuttle to Disney & Universal stops right outside the hotel. The I-Ride trolley will take you right to Sea World for $1.25. The free breakfast has a variety of choices- fill up before you take off for the day. Dairy Queen has lots of inexpensive daily specials and is only about half a mile south.

    Look somewhere else!

Newly engaged, my fiance and i wanted to spend time at Universal. The hotel was hard to find and get to because of all the road construction but also because there are 3 LaQunita Inns within one mile of each other. I went to one wrong one, and couldnt turn directly into the right one. Had to make a U-turn to get to it but didnt realize that until i was on my way in the wrong direction to the on-ramp of the turnpike!! When we finally got to the room, it smelled musty and moldy. The bathroom light wouldnt turn directly on... had to wait several minutes for the flourescent to kick on. There is no elevator so if you have a lot of luggage, you’re screwed. And to top it off, their space for the continental breakfast is too confined. With that area being a big tourist area, they should accomodate with a larger dining area for the breakfast. Look elsewhere for a place to stay... ill never go back here.

    Travelers tip

Call ahead to find out if any road construction will be happening so you know what to expect.
