Reviews

. I would recommend any other hotel in the close vicinity other than this one. They provided me with a booster, but it was broken too. Even more disheartening was the fact that I needed to work at night during this stay and the WiFi was down, wouldn’t connect or router was broken. When we called late at night to have someone go tell the people in the gym to be quieter, they were bent out of shape and told us we should have requested another room. They put us in a room next to the laundry and gym and the hotel was no where near full so we could have been put anywhere. It looked as though it had not been cleaned thoroughly in years. The carpets were disgusting and the room smelled. We arrived to a dirty room with mold growing in the shower. We reserved this for few reasons, it was close to Lackland AFB, the reviews said it was clean and it had WiFi in the rooms.I wouldn’t go back - don’t stay here for BMT Graduation Spent 5 days there for my son’s BMT Graduation from Lackland Airforce Base.

. I would stay again. It was a good value Although I had to change the first room for leaky toilet and the second room could use some caulking redone on the shower area, in general it was a good value.

Not impressed older hotel hotel was older rooms wore ok the brefect area was small and need more room.

Great staff there from the housekeepers, security, front desk - friendly people! Mahalo!. Need more area maps to get around. Perfect! No refrig to keep drinks cold. The drive was only 2 minutes away.Great Location This is the best place to stay if you’re attending graduation at the AFB.

. La Quinta was clean, the rooms comfortable and the staff was always friendly, helpful and accomodating.Excellent service We had gone to Lackland AFB for my daughter’s Air Force basic graduation and wanted a hotel nearby.

. There were broken lights and I had no room service. The air conditioning was broken and it caused the the carpet to soak. Not Impressed The hotel was very disappointing.

.bring your GPS... Travelers tip If you are traveling by auto anywhere in San Antonio.I’ll take the clean room and property any time... The King size bed was a little soft but hey. It is very close to the the base which made driving to BMT activities convenient and the access to the motel property is right off the exit. The room was very clean and the staff was exceptionally courteous and prompt.Very Nice, I recommend! I was in San Antonio for my Son’s graduation from Air Force BMT and I would recommend this motel to anyone needing lodging near Lackland.

. So convenient to base, restaurants, freeway. If you’re going to LAFB graduation, this is the place to stay. Had to wear slippers so feet wouldn’t get black. Only problem with room - carpet extremely dirty. Great location and 2 lights away from Lackland AFB.Great location / Nasty carpet Hotel was close to freeway entrances/exits.

. On our last day there, they ran out of coffee & most breakfast items. The staff was extremely nice, but the ice machine in our section never worked, so we had to go up to the front of the hotel each day to get ice, also the beds were not that comfortable.Good place, But We stayed here to be close to Lackland AFB.

. IF YOU HAVE A LOVED ONE GRADUATING FROM BMT AT LACKLAND AFB THIS IS THE SPOT TO STAY. WE WOULD DEFINITILY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. JUST OUTSIDE THE GATES OF BASE BUT NOT FAR FROM OTHER THINGS TO DO IN THE AREA. WHAT A GREAT LOCATION.NEAR LACKLAND AFB WE WERE IN THE AREA FOR MY SON’S GRADUATION FROM BMT AT LACKLAND AFB.

. Sea world is also just down the road. Travelers tip on dining Great local cheap mexican places to eat just down the road, and a grocery store if you are staying any length of time. I stayed the 1st 3 nights downtown at a "4star" hotel and the room and bed was better here I wish I had stayed here the whole stay.Across from Lackland AFB Clean, comfy, great bed and pillows, 2 pools, easy to find and super location across from Lackland AFB.

. Travelers tip on saving a few bucks Fine for visisting Lackland AFB. Maid service was GREAT!! Super nice. TV was in bad shape but no one seemed to care. Had to wait to find another room. Not too impressed First room was dirty when we entered.

. Also, we where able to check out a little later the next day. It was stuffy, but made a phone call to front desk that nite (9:00pm) and he changed us to another room within 10 mins. We stayed the night, the only problem was the air condition was not working properly.Sea World Trip The hotel location was good, close to Sea World.

.Great for AFB gradutation Pool closes too early!! Breakfast was good, people were friendly and helpful.

. Use the pool as often as possible. I’m from Washington state, and wasn’t very comfortable. Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay the Humidity is Crazy down in Texas. Pool was clean, and very friendly staff.Great location to Lackland AFB Breakfast was pretty good, the only complaint I have is that my internet didn’t work for the entire week I was there.

. We won’t be returning to this hotel and will think twice about booking at this chain again. We also discovered that "exterior corridors" really mean room doors open to the parking lot. We weren’t sure what else was in the carpet, but your feet turned black after you walked across it a few times. Starting off with a flippant front desk staff, we arrived at our "non-smoking" room complete with ashtray and the old smoker smell firmly embedded in draperies and carpet. Not impressed The only downside to our fun Seaworld weekend was this hotel.

. The continental breakfast that they serve every morning is really good. The employees are extremely nice and helpful. When we checked in we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is right outside of the base, so that is why we made reservations there.Very nice hotel, really nice people and excellent breakfast in the morning! We went to San Antonio for my son’s graduation from Air Force Basic Training.

. Travelers tip on local attractions everything was great within distance not to far to drive for food and entertainment for the kids.Room stay the room was a bit hot the air just would not get cold and the bathroom was kinda small too.

Ladies trust me you won’t be happy!. It was an "ok" hotel but I wouldn’t stay there again simply because of the shower. Then water leaked all over the floor and I had to use up all the towels to mop it up. Also, there were no cubbies or anything to put your shampoo on so it was not easy. It was a lot of effort to not knock my elbows on the wall and keep the shower door shut. The shower and toilet are in a separate room from the sink, and the shower is basically a stall that even I, a 5’2" petite woman, had a lot of trouble moving around in. The bed was very comfortable however the bathroom left much to be desired. I was visiting my husband at Lackland and this was within 5 minutes of the base, very convenient...Wouldn’t Go Back for One Reason.

. Bring a bathing suit for them. If you are there for graduation, you son or daughter cannot go outside of San Antonio on leave. We stayed an extra day so that we could visit friends in Austin about 1 1/2 hrs away. Plan to go to Riverwalk and the Alamo, Very nice and close by. Travelers tip They supply shampoo, but not conditiner, pool towels are small, but it is in the 90’s so you don’t really need a towel. Free parking. Would recommend it unless you really need someplace elegant. We stayed 6 nights and our stay was good. Most of the people staying there had graduates from the base, which was nice. We really loved the free daily breakfast, food was good and it saved us time as we had to be at the base early in the am. The room was fine, a bit older and the shower could have been more "forceful", but we really didn’t spend a lot of time in the room except to sleep (bed was comfortable) shower and change. The hotel has 2 pools which were very nice.A. The hotel was close to resturaunts and stores and only about 15-20min from Riverwalk in downtown S. All of the staff were very accomadating and pleasant. We stayed at this hotel because it was close to Lackland AFB where our son was graduating from basic training.Perfect place to stay for families of Lackland grads.

. the closet gates to LaQuinta at Lackland are not open 24 hours a day and most entry is required from the farthest gate. Travelers tip if you are planning on staying here because of the close proximity to Lackland, think again and stay at a nicer hotel. i would not recommend staying here for any length of time, a stay of 1 night would be the maximum. we enjoyed the free breakfast and that was very good. in their favor, the employees were all very nice. the outside pool was green and stayed that way until we left 5 days later. the water from the faucet had a strange smell and when i went to make a pot of coffee, it was so cloudy i decided against it. the floor was dirty and gritty. the toilet looked as of it had never been cleaned and tile in the tub/shower was in bad condition. the ac didn’t work half the time. the door to the room had a gap all around it. our room was on the second floor and the steps leading to it were in poor condition. even though our room had been updated, it was far from what we are used to staying in. we picked this hotel because it was close to Lackland. Not Impressed my husband and i were there to attend our daughter’s graduation from basic training.

. Getting around San Antonio was pretty easy with a GPS. So I would definitely get a rental car at the airport. We had to wait 4 hours to get a car and then by the time we got one they jacked up the price by $100 and then they charge you $50 to return the car at the airport. I would rent one from the airport because a taxi ride from the airport to the hotel is $50!! The rental car place by the Lackland airforce base really ripped us off. Travelers tip on saving a few bucks FYI plan on renting a car to get around. The hotel is very old with a really old tv but overall, the hotel was ok and I would stay there again if I had another airforce graduation to attend. It isn’t the nicest hotel but it’s a decent place to sleep for a decent price.Lackland If you are going to Lackland airforce base then this hotel is at a good location spot for you to stay at.

. Very convenient for attending Lackland AFB events. I would stay there again. The hotel desk did provide a list of restaurants that delivered. The only drawback to the hotel for me was that there are no restaurants within walking distance. The free breakfast was nice touch.Great value The hotel room was clean and comfortable.

. It would not be for those who are accustomed to four star hotels. I would recommend for families going to functions at the AFB. It’s a great place for those who don’t intend to spend much time in their room. The hotel was very convenient to Lackland AFB, downtown San Antonio, and lots of restaurants.Convenient for BMT Graduation Our rooms were very clean.

Travelers tip on local attractions have a gps system.Close to lackland afb Dont plan on swimming or seeing beautiful site its very city and kinda dirty the ditches were full of trash and even a shopping cart and the pool was nasty.
