Travelers tip on saving a few bucks They have a free Continental breakfast in the AM and a pool!!. We will be back on our nest trip South. But best of all - the price was very reasonable and appreciated in this time of economic troubles. The room was comfortable and we all slept well. The check in process was fast and friendly. La Quinta was a wonderful change. Last year we stayed around the cornor and the place was pretty seedy.Recession Priced Gem We aere on our way to DC and just needed a place to sleep for one night.

. I would happily return there if my business should call upon me to return to Stamford. It was not a five star hotel but then again, it was not advertised as such and the price was right. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was clean and well located. This hotel fit the bill perfectly. All I was after was a clean, pleasant room for one night.Best of the Inexpensive I was looking for an inexpensive but decent place to stay after a business meeting.

. Travelers tip on local attractions Downtown Stamford has a nice mall and New York City is only 30 minutes away by train. Would stay there again. The diner next door has excellent food. Our room was very clean and comfortable and the staff was very pleasant. We were not disappointed. We had stayed at LaQuinta hotels before so we figured it would serve the purpose of our trip and be a clean comfortable no frill place to stay overnight.Would stay again My husband, son and I stayed at this hotel so that our son could catch a flight out of JFK airport.

. Forewarned is forearmed. I would have expected to pay 30% less for a room of this quality in this location. They try to keep the place clean and they try to make the breakfast pleasant, tasty and adequate. They seem to work hard with the little they have to work with. The only saving grace is the staff. The lobby is cold and drafty and not even wintertime-a pleasure for desk personnel, I’m sure. No lotion available. There is only combination shampoo/conditioner to save on money. Everything reeks of cheap-the furniture, the lighting, carpeting, bathroom, everything! The cups are cheap plastic, the coffee cups are cheap flexible styrofoam. Staying here is like staying in a college dorm room.I think La Quinta is Spanish for cheap.

La quinta - stamford no frills other than reliable wireless nothing around but a very good attached diner Travelers tip for business travelers its less than 5 minutes to the stamford metro north station.

. Rather than the traditional chocolates on your beside table, this hotel actually provides earplug - that’s a redflag!.Good If You Are Hard of Hearing The Hotel is clean enough but my room was about 200 yards from I 95.

Diner attached is a little on the expensive side.La quinta - just fine as far as a stop over to nyc - its cheap and close to metro north if u were to be working in stamford long term, again, very convenient.
