. The service and food was out of this world and easily made up for the bedding. Since we are light eaters, we stayed on the secured floor with food service lounge serving breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, and liqueur and dessert. old and a bit uncomfortable... mattress beyond turning ... theirs were hopeless ...The best food ever
A grand old hotel!! Bring your own pillows .
What more can I say? Five star all the way!. Never had to wait for my car - always had cold water waiting inside. Bar staff friendly and attentive. Front desk excellent. The maids were never seen but always present in the cleanliness of the room. The room service was delightful with the wait staff polite and the food amazing.Top of the line
The bed was extremely comfortable with the greatest pillows and comforter.
). Only two things were a problem: they charge 10 dollars a day for internet service -- and the 25 dollar parking fee (which, of course does not cover the tip you need to give every time you need to use your car. We loved everything about the hotel good food, lovely room with a view fo the garden.Fabulous
Expedia priced this hotel well under what it would normally cost.

Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay
Great location to all of LAs attractions as well as a midway point if you are planning a trip to San Diego. The grounds were beautiful and the location was perfect for what we needed. The staff was incredible and was always courteous.Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena
I loved this hotel.
Staff was extremely helpful and nice!!. Seems like nitpicking but when you pay top $$$ you expect more. Robes were scratchy. A little lumpy. Bed was just ok. For the price, small amenities like in-room coffee maker, frig, separate tub & shower should have been there.Beautiful Hotel
The hotel and grounds were amazing! Room was just ok.
.Langham is lovely
Great place with lovely grounds.
So good!. Also, we had breakfast at a little restaurant called Russells on Fair Oaks Ave. It was so good. We dined at a very hip Italian restaurant called Mi Piace, recommended by the hotel staff. Obviously a fave!

Just minutes away is Pasadenas main shopping area. We will definitely stay here again for another get away. I also loved the history of the hotel and the surrounding area. This hotel makes you feel "rich and famous" without breaking the bank. We both enjoy "out of the way" places where we can escape the noise and hustle of the outside world.Beautiful Oasis in Pasadena - SO NICE!!!
We really enjoyed the Langham Huntington Hotel and Spa.
Be sure to check places you want to go.
Travelers tip on local attractions
We wanted to go to the Wax Museum & Rigleys Believe It or Not & found both out of business. 5 star definetely. We really enjoyed the movie by the pool while we ate dinner on the terrace. The meals were cooked just right & tasted perfect. The service and employees were exceptional.
This was the nicest place I have stayed. It was great.I plan to return next year.
. Pool is very large and fit for both big and little kids. However breakfast is for all ages.
The dinner menu at both dining areas are designed around adults. It lives up to its reputation. I will stay there again anytime we visit Los Angeles. Very comfortable rooms, service was over the top from the valet to our room maids.
Truly the Langham exceeded any expectation we had.The best service anywhere.

The slow braised rib eye beef in the Terrace Restaurant is excellent!.Nice place to stay
A very nice hotel, has warm pool, tennis court, good service and nice room.
. Still I would definitely go again. My only complaint is slight in that the room was quite small. Great food and its located in a nice neighborhood.Great service, but small room
Great service from the start and the surrounding grounds were fun to walk around.
. There are many nice restaurants in the area, but you need a car to get there. Food or drinks taken in the hotel restaurant and bar are very expensive but good. We had yoga lessons from Jose and can recommend them. As a hotel guest you can use the fitness centre for free or take yoga, tai chi or pilatus classes. The staff super friendly albeit a bit serious. The pool is magnificent, the decor superb. Weve spend a week in the hotel.Old French chique mixed with LA hip
The Langham Huntington in Pasadena is a great hotel.
. Highly recommend. Im very picky. Used to be the Ritz Carlton. Beautiful grounds. Great Service.Top Notch
Fine Hotel.
.Avoid staying in Lanai building
Its a old time glory resort, has all the 5 stars hotel amenities, but Lanai building not well kept , pet smell ,dirty carpet, midnight dog barking and early morning wolfing were quite disturbing.
. I will stay here for all my LA visits.Excellent Retreat
LA seems a hundred miles away (but it is not) when you are relaxing at this beautiful hotel.

Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay
Ask to use the free van service since getting around is about $10-12 in one direction by taxi to downtown or the Huntington library, etc. The food is excellent and prices are not inflated.Luxurious accomodations
This is a luxury resort with a high standard of service and beautiful grounds.
. The service was always courteous, the food was delicious, and the spa was incredible.Fantastic getaway from LA bustle
My wife and I loved our three-day Memorial Day weekend spent at the Langham.
. Fantastic premises/grounds/neighbourhood. We had a poolside room so it got a little noisy in the daytime when children were swimming but otherwise the room and balcony were awesome. The toilet and shower/tub were fine though.Beautiful
Excellent hotel but my sink had water standing in it easily.
. Would definately recommend. The rooms definately exceeded our expectations. The view was beautiful. Our lanai room had a balcony that opened up to the circular garden. The accomodations were perfect.Beautiful Hotel
We stayed only for one night, but we would definately stay there again.

Travelers tip on recreational activities
The area around the hotel is super to walk through. The staff up there is wonderful and the rooms have the extra touch. Although the club floor is usually out of our price range, a couple times a year it makes for a wonderful treat. I would not have believed how relaxing a dry sauna, steam room and whirlpool can be. But this hotel also has a super fitness center and spa. So that would be for anyone young at heart. As an example, on this trip, we caught the Friday night movie at the pool- lounge chairs and a movie under the stars would have been great, but then the staff brought around fruit skewers and smoothee samples- just because. This is a "provide a little extra" hotel. Our Favorite R&R Retreat!
I cant imagine not loving staying here.
.Be careful because there are sections that are permit only...
Travelers tip on saving a few bucks
The hotel probably doesnt appreciate this, but we parked on the street outside and saved the expensive valet charge (around $25 per day). We had dinner plans in downtown Pasadena but never even made it! We were having too much fun at the Langham. We stayed in the Club level and took advantage of all the food and beverages that were included. The service was great and the resort was beautiful.Beautiful and relaxing
We recntly enjoyed our anniversary weekend at the Langham.
highly recommended.... Oh and San Marino, CA/Pasadena, CA was so awesome that I was wondering why I chose snowy, salty and sandy new england to live in. Im sure a lot of people loved the valet.Serene, modern and luxurious
Everything about the hotel was awesome, including but not limited to (due to my short stay): * The garden * The drinks at the bar * The room * The service * Decor, finish, everything about the building * The terrace (poolside restaurant) In short I think it was perfect, IF ONLY they offered self-parking, but thats just because Im a self-parker.
. Room service is good but pricey. You may want to stop at one of Pasadenas fine restaurants on the way. If you are arriving late in the evening, be aware that the Langhams restaurants close at 9:00 pm. The hotel staff was kind enough to change our room for the second night, or I wouldnt have much good to say about the experience. The bells and whirring of the elevators were a constant annoyance. The blues band thumped until midnight. Our third floor room was over the bar and next to the elevators.Bad First Night
Our first night at Langham was rough.
I go back every year!.Very attentative
Staff make an extra effort to personalize your experience.
. Didnt have a shuttle to the Huntington Library and Gardens however, which they should do. Didnt need a car- a shuttle to shopping and museums. Felt thoroughly pampered. Wonderful spa and beauty treatments. 80 degrees compared to 20s and snow in Seattle. The weather added to the pleasure as well.I cant wait to go back
For a long, relaxing weekend get away it was perfect.
