. NO ONE EVER REALLY DOES ANYTHING EXCEPT CALL AND ACT NICE--RESULTS WOULD BE MUCH BETTER. ROOMS TOO HOT AND THE MAINTENANCE MEN ARE VERY NICE BUT NOTHING HAPPENS. ALWAYS UPDATING ENTRANCE AND LOBBY AND THE ROOMS NEED IT.Rooms need updating and so does air-conditioning every time we stay here they are upgrading the entrance and lobby area SPENT SOME MONEY ON THE ROOMS INSTEAD!! ROOMS ARE VERY HOT AND ALL YOU GET IS NICENESS ABOUT MAKING YOUR ROOM COOLER---NOTHING EVER HAPPENS JUST A LOT OF NICENESS FROM THE MAINTENANCE MEN--CAN HEAR ALL YOUR NEIGHBOORS.

Great hotel, they failed to clean the room our first day there but responded in a timely manner The food was great which I stay at a lot of hotels and the wait staff was superb!!!.

. We were overall please with our stay and would stay there again if we are ever back in town. The rooms were great too. We enjoyed the indoor pool, and the outdoor pool looked nice too, although we didn’t use that one. The check-in staff was very friendly & helpful. . There were no negatives. The work-out room was small but good, and the indoor and outdoor pools were nice. The restaurant waitstaff was very accommodating of our party, which included several small children. The room was a good size.We will definitely return to this hotel on our next family visit! This is a lovely hotel very convenient to the airport, but no airport noise.

. The commute to get to the convention center took 20 - 25 minutes each way. This is closer to the airport and the freeway. Travelers tip for business travelers If you are wanting to do business in downtown Long Beach stay at another property. Housekeeping came the first night and removed (they thought) the clog, but after three others showers in the morning, the water was backed up to our shins. Only two things detracted from my experience: 1)the hotel was much farther from my business destination than was referenced on Expedia which pinched me for time; 2)the shower in our room was stopped up and we were quickly up to our shins in water.Beautiful hotel property, comfortable rooms This was a beautiful property to stay at, I wish I had a longer stay.

. Would definitely stay here again. Very nice included breakfast buffet. Right next to Long Beach airport, but no problem with airplane noise. Clean, spacious, no problems.Very happy with hotel.

. Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay Since I booked this hotel through Expedia we got two free (of three) buffet breakfasts for free. Buffet breakfast the following morning exceeded expectations. They loved it too. . Travelers tip on local attractions If you have a car take a side trip to Seal Beach and dine at one of the restaraunts on the waterfront. I especially liked the bathroom, very roomy and a great shower head.Very nice and a step above other Marriotts The pool area is beautiful and a great place to hold a business luncheon.

. As I said: Much more than expected. Not a big problem. The only thing that I missed was having a safe box at my room ( I did not know if that happens at all the rooms ). And people at the Hotel kind and competent. It has an excellent location. And noise is minimum when you are at your room, and non existent if you go a little tired to bed, after enjoying some from so many places and attractions very near to the Hotel. looks new. The whole hotel, including rooms, halls, restaurants, etc. During our stay on last September days, we could not find any refurbishing in process. Awarding credit to previous reviews, it seems that all of that was in the past. Specifically regarding recent and possibly on going renovation works, and also related to the noise we could suffer having so close the Long Beach airport. I would not hesitate to go back I read available reviews before staying at this Hotel, and I decided to go there with uncertainty.Much more than expected.

. Travelers tip for business travelers Don’t let the airport being in your window view keep you from staying at this hotel it remained quiet during the night {sleep time} hours. We did have a chance to enjoy their garden resturant which had a wonderful dinner and breakfast at a reasonable price. We did not get to use alot of the services, as we were working the International Quilt Show at the convention center. The best bed I’ve ever slept in anywhere and my traveling companions ageee.I want one of their beds.

. This hotel looked as though it was on the marina but in fact was about 15 minutes away right next to the airport,view from room window was the air strip.A little out of the way.

We will go back, but will stay far away from the band!. The clerk the next morning acknowledged the problem and told us to make sure to ask for a different room if we returned. The noise from the band on a Saturday night was incredibly annoying until well after midnight. However, you must avoid at all costs Room 248 which is above the banquet room... clean, comfortable and reasonably priced.Nice Place, But Avoid Room 248 This is a nice place, newly updated.

. Travelers tip for business travelers This hotel is great if you are traveling out of the Long Beach Airport, and they have a courtesy shuttle that starts really early in the morning. The room was great and I really appreciated the extra consideration. floor so that I would not be disturbed. There was a young dance group at the hotel on this trip, so when I checked in the front desk had the foresight to move me to a room on the Exec.Very insightful staff My stay was just for one night this trip, but I have stayed at this particular Marriott before because it is so close to the Long Beach Airport.

My huisband and I loved the Marriott mattress and plan to buy one, but that mattress was the only reason we didn’t run screaming from this hotel. The hotel obviously needs an enormous update (better than what they were attempting). Everything in our room fell apart when we touched it (lamps, ironing board), and the staff wasn’t exactly gracious about it all. Our bathroom sink stunk like sulfur. There were holes in the walls everywhere. We could see mold on the walls in the hallways, which they were covering up with new wallpaper. In fact, we were woken at 7:30 am by the very loud workers right outside our door on the first morning of our stay.Mattress was the only reason we stayed I have no idea what happened to this hotel before me and my husband showed up, but it seemed that only one floor was being used for customers (6), and there was work being done on that floor.

Travelers tip on recreational activities The hotel is very close to the Pacific Coast Highway.would stay again at the Mariott if business brings me back... This is a nice area to stay off of the strip near the Queen Mary/Aquarium. Nice amenities for the pool and hot tub. Service was good and the rooms are clean and the bed was very comfortable. However the Marriott by the Long Beach Airport is very nice.north bound on the PCH toward Santa Moncia for example...Long Beach Marriott--Nice Area There are some area’s of Long Beach that are not so nice.
