Reviews

. Breakfast was great and priced well. It will save your feet! The House of Blues will give you a two for one for breakfast if you eat lunch or dinner there. There is a ticket station outside of the MGM that sells them, you cannot buy the 3 day pass on the bus itself. It runs up and down the strip all the way to Fremont Street. Travelers tip on saving a few bucks Buy a 3 day bus pass for $14 for the double-decker bus named The Deuce. It is at the very end of the strip, but with a bus pass it didn’t seem to bother us. Enjoyed the pools, but they closed at 6pm (probably to help save money). It had a faucet that filled the entire tub up in about 3 min!! Plus a separate shower that worked well if you both needed to get ready at the same time. The room was great with a wonderful soaking tub in the bathroom. It is a very large hotel, so expect to do alot of walking. Everyone seemed friendly and helpful.Great stay We really enjoyed our stay.

. They have great food at a reasonable price. Mandalay is at the end of the strip, but not out of the way at all. This is a gimmick! It’s Vegas. The desk failed to tell us no alchohol and I presented the coupon at the pool and they did not tell us. When we checked in they said use your credit at the pool and we will deduct $50 dollars worth when you check out. Should have read beverege and soft drink credit.Food and beverege credit We had a $50 food and beverege credit per room.

.50. A bagel is $3. Ask for hot water and you save $5 each day. Thank goodness the pool is included, at least for now! Travelers tip on saving a few bucks Bring your own Starbucks coffee mug and powdered chai, hot chocolate or tea bags. The exercise room is $20 per day. Internet is $15 per day. Of course being in Vegas you get nickeled and dimed to death. The pool area, the restaurants, the views from the rooms. I love this hotel for many reasons....Love it BUT.

. A cab ride to the nearest drugstore for a case of water is worth every penny. Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay Don’t forget to bring comfortable shoes or blister pads! It’s a long way from your room to the convention center. They could stand to have a coffee maker in the room so you don’t have to hike to get a expensive cup.Expensive Mandalay Bay is a great hotel for comfort, cleanliness and price.

.00 fee for each use. The Mandalay requires a $15.Which is not charged unless you fail to return the conveyance. However, most of these only require a credit card number for security. is not a favorite, it was nice to know that whel chair and scooter conveyance is available at almost all venues. Travelers tip Since I do have a handicap in that excessive walking, and climbing stairs, etc. On the whole, however, the Mandalay Hotel is a great place to stay.50 service charge per person for room service, in addition to tipping the delivering person I felt was a turn off. The prices for breakfasts in the hotel or for room service were exorbitent; and the requirement for a $2. It would have been good if a coffe maker had been provided in the room. Unfortunately, I was unable to open the refrigerator in my room, it was locked, but it really didn’t matter, because I didn’t require anything from the contents. The rooms were well cared for by the housekeeping staff, who were very pleasant and accommodating.A Beautiful Hotel The trip was only four days, but the Hotel was lovely, clean, hospitable staff, great pool and amenities.

.Love Mandalay Bay Love the wave pool;the buffet is excellent; housekeeping was very attentive; room was comfortable; Only 2 complaints:it would be nice to have free ice tea at the beach on the warmer days, the sand needs raking: there were a lot of cigarette butts.

. Worth every penny. It’s $3 per ride, or $7 for a 24-hour pass. The Deuce is a double-decker bus that stops basically everywhere on the strip(and downtown) every 10 minutes. For transportation, ride The Deuce. Great way to save some money on food and drink. Travelers tip on saving a few bucks McDonalds, Subway, and a liquor store are right across the street from Mandalay. When we go back to Vegas, we will definitely stay at Mandalay again. The public transportation in Las Vegas is very convenient. Taking a bus pretty much makes resort location a moot point anyway. I heard warnings about Mandalay’s location on the strip, but it’s a short tram ride away from Excalibur which is right next to MGM, Tropicana, and NY-NY. The buffet was very good, and the all-day pass basically gets you one of your meals for free. Mandalay Beach gets very crowded on weekends, but with so much to do in Vegas, we didn’t find much time to lounge by the pool. Loved the 42" TV in the room for when we were getting ready to go out, or getting ready to sleep. The elevator ride can get long at times, but the view was fantastic. We had a room on the 34th floor. We had a standard room and it was probably the most comfy hotel bed we’ve ever slept in.Definitely Will Be Back Gorgeous resort, friendly staff, and a very comfortable room.

. Tram from Mandalay Bay to Excalibur only runs at peak times, if you’re early in the morning or later at night you end up walking. The bus is the better option for getting back and forth on the strip. It’s way too far away from Mandalay Bay. Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay Don’t bother with the monorail. All in all it was a great place to stay except for a few lapses in service. No one came to take our drink order the whole time we were on the "beach" and didn’t see many in the casino either. If you want to spend extra bucks you can get a padded lounge in the Morea Beach club. The chairs are too close together on the "free area" but it wasn’t too crowded when we went in late September.Great pool complex!! Loved the lazy river and the wave pool.

My only negative would be that food and drink within the hotel was quite expensive- but again great quality! Take a rubber ring (tube) for kids and adults, there is a lazy river but to buy (you can’t rent) a tube it cost $16 or $24!. The beach/pool area really made you feel like you were in a secluded resort while close to the strip! It is a bit of a walk to the other hotels but the monorail helps with this.A great beach holiday in Vegas This hotel was excellent! There was a large party of us there for a wedding so I got to see a number of rooms and each one was of a high standard! I have stayed in a few Vegas hotels and this was the most relaxing and luxurious.

. Took advantage of their Spa specials. The fabric wall coverings had seen better days - faded, worn/torn in some places. The room was nice, view terrific (61st floor). Stayed at The Hotel this stay.Always my 1st choice Love the Mandalay property.

. The view is much more appealing. Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay Would recommend trying to get a room facing the strip. you will not be disappointed with this choice of accommedations.Excellent choice highly recommend this hotel.

. We changed for the Encore during our stay. Mandalay Bay is no more what it was. No management. No service. To avoid Dirty towels or shreded.

Enjoyed it - will come back soon Suite was spacious - particularly liked the 1/2 bath.

(for a small fee)It was so worth it! comfy, spacious, cozy, luxury and more! Would definitely recommend! Will definitely go back!. It was easily forgotten when we got an upgrade to a suite at "THE HOTEL" at Mandalay Bay. At first I was a little disappointed to find out there were no king size beds available upon check in.LOVED IT! I had a fantastic time at the Mandalay Bay.

. We had a wonderful time there, and would easily return. The hotel is great! Very beautiful inside & out.Hotel is beautiful, pool’s are amazing & many restaurants to choose from.

Would definately stay again! Was thrilled with the overall "feel" of Mandalay Bay! My husband and I had never been to Las Vegas and what a great introduction! Expedia offered a deal we couldn’t pass up and The Killers were performing, so how could we refuse! Our room was fantastic, the casino was spacious, it smelled wonderful (not smoky!), the "beach" was beyond our expectations, service everywhere in the hotel (from The House of Blues to Starbucks to the Pool Side was wonderful), the evening entertainment was great (whoever was playing the night of September 20th,2009 around 12:00 am was Fantastic - major kudos to you guys, dig your enthusiasm!) We just had an ABSOLUTE AMAZING VACATION! YOU WILL LOVE MANDALAY BAY - DEFINATELY GOING BACK!.

. I wish we had a few more days. Only regret is that we didn’t spend more time by the wave pool and we didn’t try the lazy river. Everything was great. Upon checking in, we learned we had been upgraded to the Four Seasons which is within the same building.Wish we had more time!! We recently booked a trip to Las Vegas at the end of September at the Mandalay Bay.

. Was fantastic with very clean rooms and excellent service.Great Vegas Hotel Stayed at "THE HOTEL" at Mandalay Bay.

. Not all that bad though because everyone expects to do a little walking on the strip in Vegas. You have to get on a tram system that takes you to MGM where you can get on the monorail system after walking all the way through the very large MGM hotel. Travelers tip on local attractions Mandalay Bay is located at the very end of the strip and the monorail system doesn’t go all the way to the hotel. An overall great experience and the service was great. Our room wasn’t particularly clean and it seemed like the cleaning crew slapped the room together. The pools are amazing but be prepared because they are usually packed full of people. The lobby and casino areas are very nice and well kept. A little tough to access some of the other fun places in Vegas due to the fact that it is located at the very end of the strip.Amazing Hotel on The Strip Mandalay Bay was a very nice place to stay on the strip.

. Delightful. Dinner at Rum Jungle, a show at the House of Blues and a day in the spa. This was a quick trip and I never left the hotel.LOVE I always love Mandalay Bay.

. The pool staff weren’t as accommodating and friendly as the hotel staff but overall a nice place to stay in Vegas.Enjoyable stay It was modern, clean and comfortable.

Very nice room and enjoyed the stay Very nice facilities, restaurants and Casino Travelers tip on dining Great restaurants at the Mandalay Bay.

. I will stay here again. It doesn’t cross that line between class and high class like some of the other over the top hotels.Top Notch THEhotel at Mandalay Bay was amazing.

. It’s alittle away from all the activity. My only complaint is it being at the end of the strip. Tram service to Luxor and Excalibur is spotty - starts at 11 and closes early. Only ate at the Border Grill for a snack and drink(delicious) and the buffet for breakfast (well worth eating there). Pool is great.Beautiful Hotel Hotel is beautiful.

. Since we were there on business and our meetings did not finish until 5:30 we were unable to use the pool. The pool closed at 6pm. Our only disappointment were the pool hours.Would recommend I would recommend this hotel.
