Cant wait to go backI loved my hotel room, it was very comfortable and relaxing. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.Rating:5
Best Hotel in Kihei !Great hotel!!! Very friendly service. Would stay again!Rating:3
Not impressed.Multiple elevators were not working for the entire 2 week stay. Room was not as cleaned as it should have been when checking in. Bathroom was way too small for comfort. Maids would try and enter your room/knock on your door or phone your room - even when the do not disturb sign was out. Room doors are so full of gaps that sound and light come through.
Travelers tipKihei area is very nice. Close to most things and not too ritzy....Rating:5
Ideal locationWe were right across the street from the beach and there were shops and restaurants within walking distance. The hotel was beautiful and the staff was friendly and helpful. The gift shop was wonderful and the prices were very reasonable. We would love to go back.
Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stayRent a car and tour the entire island. The scenery changes from one place to the other. The views are breathtaking.Rating:5
Cant wait to go back :o)Very good hotel on Maui. Outside from big resorts in nice Kihei village, where is all what you need. Shops, restaurants etc. One of most nice beach on Maui Kamaole, 5 minutes walk from the hotel, across the street. Good access for trips to all places on the islands. 20 minutes from airport. I can recommended. Staff of hotel very freindly. Rooms very clean and nice renovate. We were very satisfied with this hotel.
Travelers tip on local attractionsMolokini crater snorkling, Haleakala volcanoRating:3
ok, but nothing to write home about. The check in person I incounter need manners training,I ask about room internet service,he act like I just fall off the watermelon truck, the hotel has no room wireless internet service you have to pay be credit card to get services pain in the butt.Rating:5
Great Place to Stay! The Maui Coast Hotel was a great place to stay. It was very clean, the front desk clerks were super friendly, and the location was awesome. Just a short walk brought you to a beach that was perfect for my two-year old to play in the surf. Our room had a microwave and refridgerator so we were able to save money by buying breakfast supplies and heating up left-overs for lunch. Each night they had live music at the pool/bar. And fresh beach towells were always available at the front desk. I would definitely stay here again.
Travelers tip on saving a few bucksGo to the Safeway in Kihei (mid-town, away from the coastal road) to buy groceries at a reasonable price. The Hilo Haties store also is a cheaper place for souveniers than the ABC stores.Rating:5
Great Value and LocationMy wife and I recently returned from a week long trip to Maui. While there we stayed at the Maui Coast Hotel because we like the Kihei area and the hotel looked to be a great value based on what we read in the reviews. Needless to say, we were not disappointed. The hotel looks and feels brand new. The foyer/reception area is nicely laid out and spacious and the pool was quite nice as well. The employees at the hotel were very nice and helpful, always on time with good suggestions and prompt service. Another plus to the hotel was its location right across the street from Kam I park. My wife and I went there a few times to use the nice beach. Quite frankly, there isnt anything that I disliked about my stay at the Maui Coast. If its prices remain competitive with other hotels of its class well be sure to visit again.
Travelers tip on diningFreds Mexican Cafe, a couple of blocks south from the hotel, has great food at reasonable prices. Its location right across the street from Kam II is hard to beat as well.Rating:5
Cant wait to go backClean nice hotel, very friendly management.Lots of shopping, and dining place close of the hotel. The beach across the street, clean. Lots of shopping area.Dining places, and activities.Rating:5
Excellent place!!!One of the best places to stay ... right in the heart of town!! Close to lots of activities!!! The room was very clean and very nice!! Would recommend this to all ... didnt use the gym or pool or any other facilities.. but overall it was a lovely experience!!Rating:5
LOVED IT ! ! !Cant wait to go back. We spent our honeymoon there. The hotel was amazing! The only negative was Spices Restaurant- not that great, but it didnt matter because the hotel is close to many good restaurants.Rating:3
No Ocean ViewGreat Hotel if you are not a first time visitor to Hawaii. I say this because there is no view of the ocean. During our visit to Maui, first we stayed 1 week at a Marriott time share that was on the beach with spectacular ocean views. Luxury 5 star hotel. After our 1 week at the time share we stayed 2 days at the Maui Coast Hotel. I knew the beach was across the street, but I thought we would still be able to see it and hear it. It was disapointing. However, the hotel was very clean and decorated very nice. The hotel store had some cute stuff and I purchased a great hat.
Travelers tip on diningThere is a very good pizza place down the street called Pizza Madness.Rating:5
Great Place at Great Price!Room was updated and bed was extremely comfortable. Location is very convenient to Kihei beaches and variety of restaurants. Not a 5-star resort, but a nice spot to relax and enjoy Maui ambience.Rating:4
Quality Hotel, Good Location, Reasonable PriceWe had a good stay. We swim in the ocean a couple of times - very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful and always quickly available.Rating:5
SURPRISINGLY great for a 3 Star Rating in Hawaii !!The hotel was very nice and service was great. The hallways were humid and hot due to conservation of electricity no A/C but the rooms were nice and cool. The open setting of the lobby made you feel like you were in Paradise...the pool area was also very nice. Im surprise this hotel was rated close to a 4 star! Very pleasant for our sudden diversion to Maui from Oahu.Rating:4
great hotelgood location for touring the islandRating:5
Maui Coast - A Pleasant Place to stayThe Maui Coast Hotel was a pleasant surprise. It is a stones throw from Kamaole I Beach Park in Kihei. The hotel itself was nice. The staff were wonderful. I loved waking up in the mornings to the sounds of tropical birds (yes, you can leave the door open to your lanai and just use the ceiling fan at night!!!). Even though the hotel offers room service, it was not that good. Being that the adjoining restaurant, Spices, is the provider of room service, it is best to avoid room service or dining there all together. All in all, this hotel is worth the money.Rating:5
Would recommend to others! This hotel is not on the beach, but the quality, service and cleanliness more than makes up for it! The pool area was lovely! We arrived earlier than our check in time, and the front desk staff graciously upgraded our room to one that was ready.Rating:5
We will visit again! There was a mix up when we arrived with our reservation but the staff was wonderful and very accommodating. They upgraded our room and even gave us a breakfast voucher. We enjoyed the evening entertainment by the pool. We will definitely return on our next trip.Rating:4
Ill stay againA good value for the money. Rooms are recently renovated and very nice.
Travelers tip on diningThe hotels restaurant "Spices" is not a pleasant place. Service is slow and borders on rude. Food is average. I recommend "Stella Blues" for eats.Rating:4
very convienent for one night staysgood value for your buck
Travelers tip on saving a few bucksoff season; good dealRating:5
Very ImpressedI have to admit that I was skeptical about staying at this hotel given the 3 1/2 star rating but I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. The remodel is nice. The lobby, the pool, the landscaping were modern décor. My room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I am looking forward to staying at this hotel when I return to Maui.
Travelers tip on diningDo not eat at Spices. The food was gross and overpriced and the service was terrible. I ate there for breakfast and there were ants and flies everywhere. I would suggest eating at Cafe Ole which is a block south of the hotel. Great food, reasonable prices and good service.Rating:5
Clean room, convenient location, relaxing atmosphereWe stayedn in a ground floor twin room for only one night. This hotel is nothing special, but we could not find any negative points. We love bathing and the room has big bath-tub, which was really nice. We are especially satisfied with its location. The hotel is on the kihei Rd, so we easily go beach, restraunt, supermarket, etc.Rating:4
great stay at MauiMaui Coast Hotel is very good, friendly personel, good service and good located in the middle of the island away from the concentration of tourists
Travelers tip on recreational activitiesAs it is in Kihei travelling around is easy to do as most of the attractions are max. 1 hour drive.Rating:5
