. Very friendly and safe. It offers a lovely mix of modern and colonial. Take time to take in the city. Try the food.

Visit the mercado. Overall, a very good experience, and something we would like to repeat. The food was amazing! And we also enjoyed some quiet time in one of the hotels patios. We were extremely happy with our fancy dinner at the hotels restaurant Las Canarias. The proximity to the river and the shopping spots made it very convenient to check out the city without having to drive. We loved La Mansion del Rio Hotel. We had been there before, but not at this particular hotel.Great experience in San Anton!
My husband and I decided on a mini vacation to San Antonio.
. During our stay, there was an unexpected storm so the carpeted floor became wet and it was smelly but by the second day, the smell was gone.Good service
Friendly people, restaurant was top notch with excellent service.
. Very intimate! I went to visit the other hotels around the area and I have to say that the service here was alway quick and outstanding. It is located right on the riverwalk with fabulous views. We couldnt of stayed at a better place.Outstanding place
I went to San Antonio for a romantic getaway.

Take a helicopter tour over the city - great time! Alamo Helicopter Tours. Splurge for the Riverwalk view room (ours was not). Maintenance came quickly and fixed it (but did leave a bit of a mess which housekeeping eventually cleaned up later). The bathroom sink was slow and did back up one morning. The room was neat and functional but nothing special. Close to the main dining locations and a short walk to the Alamo and other attractions.Good location - decent hotel
The hotel is in a great location on the Riverwalk.
. Dont miss the Buckhorn Saloon, fun place. we were there on Monday and riverwalk was almost empty, but it fills up quickly in the evenings. and good prices on bar food during happy hour. Want to go back!!

go to the Tower of the Americas, we walked from hotel, and go to bar: the view is fantastic and happy hour drinks are cheap and big. I was paying a budget price for the riverwalk view but felt like a "Trump". the hotel is convenient to everything. it did cost to park but the attendents were friendly and helpful and polite. room was spacious and comfy and the bed was so comfortable. the staff was so friendly and accomadating . Had always seen this hotel on the riverwalk tour and now here I was staying there. and we had TWO balconies. when we checked in they said we had a riverwalk view with a balcony.
we had gotten a good deal on the price of this hotel so was expecting a room with a view of the parking ramp or alley.Loved this place, felt like a queen.
Marys church is next door and thats a must see!. St. It was so enjoyable to walk along the Riverwalk in the morning. Plus the location is excellent. Marys days. I loved the photos in the hallways from the St.Loved it~
The history of this hotel is wonderful.
Very Nice
I stayed at the hotel with my 6 yr old son and we loved it! It was very nice, clean and comforting! In addition, the convenience of being right on the Riverwalk was wonderful, plus we were also in walking distance to the Alamo and other must see locations! The only issue that we were alittle upset about was that we got an inner room and didnt have any windows, but it was still a great room at a great rate and we would love to stay there again!.

we were looking for a romantic week-end get away and we were not disappointed.
. So, they an upgrade in mattresses. The bed was not very comfortable, most 4 and 5 star hotels have nice mattresses. The staff was very nice and professional.Good Location
It is in a great location with easy access to the Rivercenter.
. worth every penny and alot of fun... the best! Take the riverboat cruise for $8.. Ritas on the River for breakfast tacos. The Iron Cactus for fancy mexican food and cocktails.

The County Line for bar-b-que and margaritats. Very family friendly. We had our baby with us and it was as comfortable if not even more than being at home. the staff was wonderful and made everything perfect for our stay.. It was my birthday and our anniversary weekend. 5 star hotel all the way.. no complaints.. There are a ton of hotels right on the river and this one was by far the best! I would stay here again. everything was perfect.. restaurants.. location.. parking.. rooms.. service.. the staff..Beautiful hotel right on the river!
The hotel is beautiful.
. Great service and great food.

The price for the room was extremely reasonable for the type of service and accomodations. I will stay there any day. The atmosphere was also fantastic and the staff were all very cooperative and very willing to give information. Everything is within walking distance. In the center of the Riverwalk
This was the best hotel on the Riverwalk that I have stayed in.
. Luckily the noise was usually over by about 10:00. Next time will specify not to be there.Enjoyable hotel with helpful personnel
Have stayed there several times and enjoyed it, however this time had a room across from both the elevator and an ice machine.
.Will return
I enjoyed staying here;especialy the location.
. On a 3 day trip, we ate dinner there 2 of our 3 nights.

Everything is great to eat, the best steak restaurant was Bohanans.. it has a spa and the fitness area in there..Lots of Fun!
I would say overall i loved this hotel, it was located in a great area of the riverwalk, it was very clean and beautiful, our bed wasnt very comfortable but everything else was great! I would stay there again and probably next time i would stay at the Watermark Spa hotel which is the sister hotel to the Omni.
. The staff went out of their way to make our stay perfect. It was great to return to the hotel and find its still one of the best hotels on the River Walk. This time my family was in San Antonio for a weekend of fun and we decided to stay there again and found a great deal thru Expedia.Great deal at a great hotel
The last time I stayed that La Mansion was my wedding night 17 years ago.
This hotel is in a great location with the riverwalk only steps away. Our room was exceptionally clean, comfortable and quiet. One of the very best hotels in San Antonios Riverwalk
The hotel staff was friendly and helpful.
.expect when too many kids are in the pool sorry, but they were too loud...Not a bad deal
What I liked the most was the pool area, its perfect to relax under the sun and have a nice frozen margarita.
. La Mansion is so central that you can walk to all the attractions in downtown San Antonio and stop back for a dip in the hotel pool before dinner. Splurge on a belgian waffle breakfast along the Riverwalk at least once, or hop over to Starbucks. The room was elegant and comfortable; not as big as you might find in a newer property, but loaded with charm. Three nights there with my family did not disappoint.Great Hotel
Since first visiting San Antonio on business 20 years ago, Id always wanted to stay at La Mansion del Rio.
. I will definitely recommend this hotel. It is very close to where the action is.Right by the Riverwalk and close to action!
I loved the location.
Great food at a reasonable price!. We loved the happy hour at the top of the Tower of the Americas and also at Michelinos on the Riverwalk.
Travelers tip on saving a few bucks
There are several restaurants along the Riverwalk that have "Happy Hour" Monday through Friday. The pool area was beautiful, but always crowded. It was a great place to stay. You could walk right out to the Riverwalk and be in the middle of everything. The room was large and lovely.Beautiful Hotel in Convenient Location
This hotel is very beautiful, and feels very authentic to San Antonio.
