. Lots of free parking and close to downtown. Had top floor with a great view of the water.Great View The room was a good price.

It cost $5 for unlimited rides back and forth, good value!. Rooms have sleep number beds! Travelers tip on saving a few bucks The hotel provides a shuttle to downtown Providence. The hotel restaurant was good! Nice selection and very reasonable prices. I heard traffic from the expressway all night long. I could feel the wind coming through the windows. I could hear them so well I thought they were in my room! I requested that the months of dust behind my bed be vacuumed, to no avail I requested a room change, which they agreed to. There was a couple with a child in the room adjacent to mine.Don’t want to go back! The first room I was in sounded like there was absolutely NO insulation between the walls.

Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay Make sure you request a room facing the harbor -- better sights & less noise. The shuttle is clean & drivers friendly, but runs only hourly - half hourly is really needed given the remote location of the hotel. The front desk staff was not knowledgeable about the area and could not give directions to major sites. Unfortunately, abuts a major highway whose noise pentrated my room (which faced highway) 24 hours a day. Nice park across the street.Well kept but too close to highway Clean & well kept structure but a bit outside the downtown.

. Immaculate rooms with nice linens, good service. Very quiet location, facing the harbor, off of College Hill, as opposed to downtown.Very comfortable setting just off College Hill Have stayed here several times.

. Location is good as it is only about a five minute drive to Brown University.Good Value Rooms were satisfactory -- clean and nice.

. Thank you Expedia and the Radisson Hotel. I even had a problem setting up a room through Expedia and the hotel was very professional and quick to respond to the problem. Thank you for setting things up for us.Church Business We will be using this hotel for now on to accommodate our church guest when we have events.

not a huge disaster, but next time i will spend the extra $15 bucks and stay at the marriott!. apparently, this sort of thing was very common at this hotel. there was only one working elevator, and in one i spoke with another guest who informed me not to leave valuables in our car because hers was jacked the previous night. it was over 90 degrees that weekend, and all of the air conditioners in the hallways were unplugged so when you exit your room, you are emerged in HOT. i don’t like to bash any business, but this scenario was insane...Great deal, not so great times.

. The two universities gave life to the community. The proximity to the downtown with shops and restaurants a plus. Although not in the immediate downtown, the walk to the conference center was a short 25 minutes, or the shuttle ride was 7 or 8 minutes. Good access to both. Nice view to the harbor and park.A Good Choice Good accomidations.

. Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay Take a short walk to Brown University and stroll the historic campus. A value for money price, fresh ingredients and a fun waitress made breakfast the bargain of our vacation. The breakfast buffet was nicely prepared and presented. The view to the harbor was amazing! The staff was genuinely friendly.Don’t miss the Breakfast Buffet I was very pleasantly surprised with a one night stay.

. Would definitely stay here again. The waterfront park out front is great too.Good deal, good location This hotel was great - the room and bed were really comfortable, we got a waterfront view, which I loved, and it was easy to walk to nearby Wickenden street and even further since Providence is so small.

Travelers tip on local attractions Great restaurants on Federal Hill. There are much better places to stay in and around Providence. Staff seemed unhappy and non-chalant. Other hotels will place an invoice under your door so you have it upon waking the day of checkout. I asked for a bill/invoice upon checkout since they held my credit card and they refused stating I should check my email. I didn’t appreciate finding hair in my eggs. Breakfast was supposed to be included, but was only discounted. Not enough towels, toiletries, etc.Not impressed - wet carpets leaking air conditioner Noisy, air conditioner not working to capacity and leaks onto carpet in room.

The beds were awesome!. The employees were very helpful about what was going on in the area and how to get there. It is close to the expressway ramp and very easy to get around the city.Great location The front of the hotel has a beautiful view of the harbor and park across the street.

The in house food was not that great either Travelers tip for business travelers Stay in the heart of the city and not in this hotel. Had to move rooms because the air conditioner was making a banging noise and both elevators were down for a day, luckily I was on the third floor and not the sixth. Nice park across the way but you’re in an industrial area. Not impressed The location is out of the way.

. I was satisfied with overall service. Shuttle service was very convenient. Room service ended pretty early and there no restaurant nearby that is open. That side had partial view of harbor and it was quiet. The clerk was nice enough to change to the other side after I claimed. The first room assined was on highway side which was pretty noisy.Confy quiet hotel if you are on the right side.

Hotel Management, General Manager. Thank you again for your feedback. This should be completed by September of 2009. In response, I would like to let you know that we are currently involved in a process to convert all guest rooms to non smoking. It is very beneficial for the hotel to see comments regarding your experience as it allows us the opportunity to improve the product and service for all customers. Comment from the hotels management Posted: 30-Jul-09 I would like to thank you for your feedback and response. We highly recommend it. We took the Gondola ride which was very romantic. It’s really beautiful to see. The big attraction are the nice they have the fire on the river. You really only need a day to see the city. Travelers tip on local attractions The city of Providence is really nice. A nice place for a picnic, a walk, or a bike ride. If you do stay at this hotel, go to the park across the street. The breakfast was good, but dinner was mediocre. The restaurant/bar staff are very nice and helpful. On the up side, there was a convenient shuttle van that took us into the city and picked us up when we called. The second room still had a stale smoke smell. After speaking with the manager, he immediately changed our room. Also, it was a non-smoking room, but it reaked of stale smoke. Our first room was just that. If not, you’ll have a room with a view of the highway which is extremely noisy. It is, but you must specify that you want a room overlooking it.Nice Hotel for a 1 night stay We chose this hotel because it was on the Harbour.

, though it is uphill; there are some cute cafe’s and restaurants a couple of blocks away; a park along the water at India Point is right outside the hotel.Closest hotel to Brown 3 star ask for bay view; pleasant hotel, nice beds and linens; rooms are a little small Travelers tip on local attractions you can walk to Brown Univ.

.We had a lovely room overlooking the water The room was very nice, shower was good, and the staff very helpful.

Hotel Management, General Manager. Thank you again for taking time to share your experience. We also have shared the food and beverage experience with our staff and are focused on consistently delivering a solid food and beverage experience. Comment from the hotels management Posted: 30-Jul-09 I would like to thank you for your response and assure you that we were aware of the problems experienced with the elevator and have worked closely with Otis elevator to correct this issue. I’ve stayed there several times before and this was the first time things were not up to par. The location is good, but upkeep of the hotel is lacking. Food was greasy and barely edible. The elevator didn’t work a good portion of our visit. We cleaned it up and it never returned -- don’t know what caused it.Good location We discovered the bathroom floor covered with water shortly after arrival.

. construction outside started at 7:00am everyday. Did not spend much time in room. we had 3 people in the room and had to ask for extra towels and washcloth and never got them.Try a different hotel Don’t go for the sleep number beds they lose air.

. Overall look of hotel was run down.Hotel review Sheets and towels were stained and yellow.

. I will not book here again, I would rather pay the same or a little more and not have the diminished shuttle service, and have an attentive, helpful front desk staff. We tried to tentatively book for an additional night, because of a flight problem and the front desk staff was rude and seemed annoyed that we wanted to add a night. Lastly, the front desk staff was horrible, very unfriendly, unhelpful and in some case inaccessible. I wish we were warned about that, or had the option to change our room. We also had problems with noise from functions below our room, that had loud music until 11pm two nights. Luckily the driver was extremely nice, and took us out without the charge and whenever we asked. Then hotel staff said it would only run on the hour. This time, the shuttle service wasn’t free, $5 per person per day, plus tips for the driver. Not Customer Service oriented! I had stayed at this hotel before, and even though it wasn’t great, the free unlimited shuttle service in the immediate area was excellent, so I booked it again.

. The shuttle service to downtown was very convenient. The room was comfortable and clean.Very Nice Everyone at the hotel was very helpful and nice.

. Travelers tip on local attractions Excellent location for visiting Brown University. Nice location.Visit to Brown University Clean and comfortable.

. If I hadn’t been exhausted, it would have been difficult to get to sleep. The downside to the location is that it is a semi-industrial area that is not amenable to walking, and the highway noise is quite loud (at least it was on the side next to the highway). If you are visiting Brown during Waterfire, the location is particularly good as you don’t have to fight the crowds to get back to your hotel on the other side of the river. I particularly liked the self-parking with both outside and covered parking, as I don’t like the cost and delay of valet parking. While not luxurious, the rooms are clean and nicely furnished and the staff is pleasant and helpful.Comfortable and reasonably priced The Radisson is a comfortable, moderately-priced hotel.

. Travelers tip on nightlife There are a LOT of dance clubs and bars not too far from this hotel and if we didn’t already have a wedding to attend we would have had a ball I am sure. Lets hope the credit that comes back is decent. Not a bad place but I will NEVER get a sleep number bed and I will also be mindful of highway sided rooms next time. She was very nice but overloaded by other customers that were ranting. She said I could have a free breakfast or I could go through Expedia to get credit. The desk was busy but the manager sympathized with me. Apparently there had been some issue over night with a party on another floor. Sunday morning we packed up to leave and I did go to the front desk. Also, they knew 2 people were staying there yet they only provided 1 wash cloth and very limited regular towels. We also happened to have a room on the highway side which was loud but I can’t really blame the hotel for that. In addition to the bed malfunction (which does happen I notice two burn holes in the coverlet and a splotch on the bedskirt that looked biological. I almost got up to sleep in the chair. We even tried refilling it but it didn’t seem to want to really keep air in it on either side. I slept terribly. I am only 35 so it is NOT old age. Our bed was not operating right, it lost air the whole night and by morning my back and hips were killing me from the rock hard flattness of the bed without any air in it. I was happy to see the king sized number bed, I thought. The room was narrow but no big deal. Even a warm smile would have been nice, but no. When we got there, the two people at the desk were not welcoming. This past weekend I had to go to RI... And in some ways, they tried hard....
