still dirtyhotel room smelled, not in a good neighborhood (trashy), towels not clean, could not even stay there. tried to get refund, hotel refused, stayed at a different hotel. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!Rating:4
Rate price/quality very goodVery good Continental BreakfastRating:2
Not Great1st room was dirty. Moved to next room and it was Ok but had many burns on the covers that probably werent cleaned in awhile. Employees were nice but overall the stay was lackluster. Coffee stunk and the free breakfast was so-so. You would probably do better elsewhere but many of the hotels on 34th street are all the same. If you want to be near the beaches then stay on the beach.Rating:2
ShabbyShabby hotel in a shabby location, close to car dealerships, but also close enough to downtown and other important locations. Service was acceptable, but nothing more. My suggestion is that you only stay here if you are on a budget and without anything romantic in mind.Rating:4
Great Value for the MoneyThe décor may not be fancy, but the room was clean (save the coffee pot and some stains on the walls). The hotel is not in the middle of everything (it is surrounded by car dealerships and gas stations and backs up to a quiet neighborhood), but it is FAR from being in the battle zone others describe. While the surrounding neighborhoods are far from wealthy, I did not have any incidents when driving through after midnight. The hotel is also a close drive (fewer than 5 mins.) to the highway and a mile up the street from shopping centers and restaurants. Those who travel with a portable GPS will find many shopping and dining options in the area (even if they are not right off 34th Street). My only gripes: The exit gate from the parking lot was broken for 2 out of 3 days of my stay, but there were not any security issues (considering that the parking lot was full of show cars being featured in a high-profile car show, that says a lot). I also did not like that the hotel opened to the outside as opposed to a hall, but that is merely my preference. I also could not tell if the dresser drawers were broken or off the track, but I could only use the bottom two. BOTTOM LINE: If you are looking for thrills and frills, this hotel is not for you. If you are watching your wallet, comfortable in a standard hotel room, and willing to exchange a short car ride to dining and shopping, this hotel should be an option.
Travelers tip on local attractionsWhen coming out of the hotel, turn right to get to get to shopping (Target and Walmart are very close by, as are a few other stores) and restaurants (Olive Garden, Panera Bread, Red Lobster, and Starbucks to name a few). I did not come by too many shopping options (CVS and Walgreens stand out) or dining options (Subway was the main place I recall) when I turned left on 34th street.Rating:5
was very safe for single women will be going backhotel pool side rooms were great gated hotel traveled with just my daughter we felt very safe loved the breakfast every morning was 15 minute drive to all the beaches easy to get around great restaraunts were close buy had a great time make sure you rent a car to get aroundRating:4
Good for the priceThis is a good hotel if you dont want anything fancy. It was very good for the money. I would stay there again. The breakfast was good.
Travelers tip on local attractionsThe Pier is about the nicest closest thing.Rating:4
RamadaThis hotel serves the best Indian food ever. It is authentic and great tasting. The complimentary breakfast was very good with a fully cooked meal. The hotel suprisingly was very quiet even with a lot of guests and was very secure. Friendly staff
Travelers tip on diningClose to a lot of retaurants that cater to every meal tasteRating:4
Good ValueFor a fairly affordable rate, the hotel was nice. The pool area was excellent, and the complimentary breakfast was really good.Rating:5
worth It!Lower priced but nicer than most hotels on the beach and close to more restaurants and shopping. Race track across the street and practice rounds can be heard in the parking lot but not in the room. The staff was great. The restaurant on site (UNO) is fantastic and great service too. Trust the website information and pictures. Well manicured facility. Mall Next door. Beaches are only 5 miles away. Wouldnt stay on the beach again.
Travelers tip1. Even if you dont stay here, eat at this restaurant. 2. Stay far away from Daytona on Bike Week unless you are one of the people who drives loud motorcycle all night long.Rating:3
DisappointedI originally wanted to stay at the Ramada at St. Pete Beach. Per Expedia, I was informed that they had some ongoing construction and I agreed to switch locations. I was not pleased at arrival due to the hotel is not on the nicest area in town, the room smelled musty. We had to leave the door open over an hour to get rid of the smell. The hotel advertised wireless internet, but it was a challenge to get connected. I called the front desk and the lady was not the friendliest during the process. After several attempts we finally got the Internet. Then we received a call from the same lady at the front desk (with a nice attitude towards us I say)to make sure that we had the internet access. It was Valentines Day, not much to do in that part of town. Asked the front desk for information, stuff to do, activities, etc. and they didnt know what was going on in the area.Rating:3
Nice hotel, enjoyed pool areaFor an older hotel, it was clean and very nice. Could offer more variety for breakfast, but was pretty good. Especially enjoyed the nice pool area.Rating:4
will likely returni usually stay at the beach when im in town, but its not necessary in the winter. i found the location perfect for my needs in the area & easy to get to. the service was very nice & the room was cozy. the sink didnt drain well, but other than that it was a nice stay.Rating:5
Would definitely go backThis was a great place for the money. Very clean, very nice room-we had the kingsize bed--it was so comfortable. We were there in January, so couldnt use the pool, but it looked great. Well defintely stay there again.Rating:3
Could`ve been better..For the price it was ok but the room i got smelled like had been closed for a while. Locations is good but you can pay a little bit more and stay in a better one.Rating:1
Worst Ramada Inn Ever! This hotel was so bad I could not stay there more that one night. I wrote to Ramada and complained. It was filthy, there was a dead cockroach on the floor, yellow stains on the sheets, and not hot water!!! Enough said, it was awful!!!Rating:1
Never againVery simply, this is the worst hotel experience Ive ever had. Theres no elevator for your baggage and no one even offered to help me!! So I figured it out the hard way. And the cleanliness was the worst. I got a smoking room and everything smelled like cigarettes! From the smell of the room, the curtains, the furniture and even the bedding!! Even the carpet was filthy to the point that I couldnt walk on the floor barefoot. The white towels were stained and I was not comfortable using them. Never another Ramada.Rating:5
good hoteli would stay at this hotel again it was close to the airport and it had a place to eat at on the ground and a bar with a poolRating:5
will use againVery nice and clean-Have traveled to St. Petersberg for last 5yrs at least twice a year. This is the best motel for the price range. It was very clean-staff very nice-very secure and will stay again. The cleanest room Ive seen in the past 5 yrs. The grounds were also very clean and the pol area was very nice.Rating:5
A Great Stay - Well worth the money!Beautiful heated pool area with upscale lounges, large umbrellas and a lush look. My room was very clean with a fridge, microwave and safe. The hot breakfast buffet was a nice surprise and the staff went the extra mile. All day hot coffee in the lobby was also a great bonus. No question I will recomend this hotel to friends and business associates. A great place to stay in St. Petersburg Florida.Rating:5
Cant wait to go back !!!Simply great !!!!!!!!Rating:4
I would stay there on my next trip. Was usefull to have refrigerator and microwave oven for my week-long stay. Pool area was very nice.Rating:5
Ramada at its best !!!I would describe Ramada Saint Petersburg just in one word "Simply Awesome".Rating:5
Very Pleasing atmosphereit was a very nice atmosphere with all the facilities and staff eager to go extra miles to take care of guest needs ...very very courteous ...i will definitely recommend this to my family and friends ...Rating:1
Dont do it!!!This hotel was in terrible condition. The room was dirty - I mean dirty. The floors, carpet everything was bad. The bathroom had two small roaches in it. Luckily, I brought my own bedding. A bad part of town as well, definitely dont stay here.
