These stairway/entry guest rooms are available at a discounted rate because of their location and potential exposure to noise. As we head into fall season and weather cools down the pool temp will increase to a cozy 85*F +/-.It was recently closed for painting and the heater was off resulting in the drop in temp. And the hotel staff didn’t contact me after they told me they would make it right.The sheets on our bed had holes in it that looked like cigarette burns. Also we had a non smoking room but reall whats the point when all the guests stand outside your window all night and their smoke comes through the air conditioner. The pool was too cold, the room were in was right next to the exterior door, so every time people came in or out all night the door would slam shut and we could hear all of the converstions going on.Not Impressed This was one of the worst experiences I have had ever.

Staff was excellent hotel was not so good. Staff was extremely helpful and apologetic. Finally we were given another room across the hall and had no spiders. The new room also had spiders in the bed. One of the three had spiders in the bed, so we were given a new room. All three rooms smelled of mildew.Not Impressed Group of us had a total of 3 rooms.

. The room was OK, but, for the price, I would have expected a little bit more. Nothing I had read or been told reflected that.I wouldn’t stay again We checked in on a Sunday and the restaurant and lounge were closed, so we could get no food on site.

.Cold Pool Good price, but the pool was way too cold to enjoy it.

. Our non-smoking room had been smoked in recently.Not impressed but what do you expect in Pocatello, ID Indoor swimming pool was way to cold for young kids.

. We will stay there again when in Pocatello. Why not use the restaurant? There are, however, several good places to eat in the area other than the hotel. NOT the best experience for a young family with children. GREAT breakfast, but we had to eat our meals at the evening in the lounge. The other was the restaurant. Why not heat at least the kiddie pool? Not good. We were really pleased that they had a pool and a children’s pool--but they were sooooo cold that we really could not enjoy them." One was the pool. Two things did stand out as "could be better. Our room was clean and comfortable.Mostly Good! Our experience was overall very positive.

. I would recommend new management and leave everything else. However the cleaning lady was very helpful, and the resturant was great.Very rude hotel manager The hotel manager was very rude when we went to check in, and not accomidating at all.

. Still, overall, I thought it was a nice hotel and would guess that the indoor pool would be especially appealing to families. Oh, and no in room movies. The bike didn’t work, the treadmill had a catch and the display was incorrect and the elliptical machine was wobbly. Also, their fitness room is sparse. Still, the restaurant was out of everything, didn’t offer many healthy choices and the service was slow. The pool was fantastic, the staff was friendly and the hotel was clean and well kept.Comfortable, clean; no on the restaurant I found this Red Lion to be a nice stay.

. It was a great place to spend the night after an 11 hour drive. The room was very nice and the shower was great. The hotel was very nice and the beds were very comfortable.A nice stopover after a long day of driving.

. Carpet and chair were worn and stained. Front desk was great about fixing the bathroom things the nwxt day. Room was old, and not really clean. This is the second one we have tried.Won’t go back will not go back to red lion.

.Outstanding Clean and we needed to change rooms from the top floor to bottom for my elderly father and it dont’t get better than this.

. the pool would probably be better most of the rest of the year, but it is in a big open room that was pretty cold, so going to the pool wasn’t an option. lounge is ok, and restaurant was decent. facilities were nice and conveniently located.Snowed in I was here for a week, it was dumping snow so this was pretty much where I was at accept for trips to work each day.

.Comfortable The staff was extremely friendly, parts of the hotel were dated, but everything else was okay, not my vacation destination but good enough for a couple of days and very easy to get around town.

. Located right off the freeway in an area populated by numerous lodging, it was a convenient stop while travelling through the area.Reasonable rates Room was clean and decent, although it could use new carpeting.

Travelers tip don’t stay here, they are way over-priced. their internet in the lobby was slower than my dial-up and that is pathetic. that was the only good thing. the bed was way comfy. the tiles of the tub were dirty. the bathroom was scary and old. they did not have a continental breakfast. the hot tub was not working, but was warmer than the pool. the pool was freezing cold.This place stinks I hated my stay.

Travelers tip on saving a few bucks If you ask, the hotel shuttle will transport you to and from any local establishment, i. Also, coffee pot in room was dirty. Not what I wanted to do after 12 hours in travel that day. It finally took a room change + 30 minutes with an engineer to find a key to work.If you have to stay in Pocatello, there arent’ many choices Although I have stayed at this hotel several times this year without problem, my last trip involved multiple trips to the front desk as the keys I was given would not open the door.

. The hotel had a great pool and the kids really enjoyed themselves. Kids had a great time! Great pool! We had a great time.Very friendly service.
