    Not worth It!

Hard to get in and out of parking lot because of only access from north. Hotel hard to find. I asked for late check out and when I got back to my room the maids had already cleaned and the manager pounded on my door telling me I had already checked out (which I hadn’t). Room doesn’t even have a hair dryer and bathroom not very clean.

    No Rooms Available

Though the people at thedesk were very nice, I wound up with a smoking room because they didn’t have anything else available. My clothes stank of cigarette smoke. Though i am glad that business was good for them, it would be nice to have seen them a bit more organized as far as tracking room reservations.

    It was ok

I had a little problem with the thermostat but the hotel was all right. I appreciated the good price and would recommend it for someone trying to save money.

    great stay in quiet suburb

although it is a ways from the downtown Chicago area, the main bus that runs to the blue line drives right by the redroof inn. literally, across the street, just wait for the bus and you’ll be at the blue line in a matter of minutes. this is also close to a few cool eating spots.

    Travelers tip on dining

Mitzuwa across the street has a food court with great japanese & chinese food. Los Compadres down the block serves great mexican food & opens early. On my way to O’Hare, I stopped by for pozole & champurrado. I’m from southern California so typical mexican stuff like this hits the spot. A korean-owned japanese joint down the street is also a worthy selection.

Room was dirty with a lot of stains on the moquet. There was a smell of smoke of cigarettes, probably somebody smoked in this room nevertheless the room was a non-smoking one.

good value, convenient location, quiet enough

Good hotel for stays of up to two weeks. Convenient location just off the I-90 and a quick hop to O’Hare. Downtown is about 1/2 hour away. The staff is responsive but overworked (it’s a successful property) Clean and reasonably well maintained. Good value for the money, we will use it again

    Travelers tip on dining

Several chain and independent restaurants are within walking distance.

    Excellent Customer Service, Great Price

The hotel was not a luxury hotel, but it was very comfortable and the service was excellent and always done with a smile. For the price I couldn’t have asked for anything more.

    Travelers tip

Very close to restaurants and the Mall. Super easy access to public transportation.

Good location close to stuff like the Schaumburg, Woodfield Mall.

It was clean enough and close to shopping. The staff was friendly and helpful.

    Travelers tip on shopping

Schaumburg Mall is 3 miles away. There is also the streets of Woodfield which has more outside shops, restaurants and a huge movie plex.

not the 80’s red roof inn we new as kids

Pros: Great location. Close to area shopping mall and food. Nicely renovated and staff was friendly. Cons: You have to ask for an ironing board and iron. You get what you pay for and it was a good experience for what I paid for.

    Nice budget hotel

It was nothing fantastic, but you get what you pay for. The room was clean, the hotel was close to restaurants, means of travel, grocery stores and other amenities. Would go back again if on a tight budget.

Would definately stay again, very nice.

The motel was very easy to find after getting off the highway. It was very easy to find our destination from hotel to convention. The area was full of shopping and restaurants. Our room was clean, the beds and pillows were very comfortable, the heating cooling system in the room was easy to use and comfortable. We requested extra towels and then each day after that we had plenty. I locked my key card in our room and asked at the desk for another and with thorough security checking I was given another. First time I have stayed in a Red Roof Inn and I would definately reccommend it and would stay again.

    Travelers tip on dining

There were unlimited restaurants, coffee shops and shopping. Location was fantastic.

    Good and Bad???

When we arrived at the Hotel it looked very clean and nice. The staff was very helpfull with some questions I had about traffic and when I should leave for my business meetings in the morning, and also their is some places to eat close to the hotel. And now the bad stuff.. the room was very nice but the king size pillow top bed was the worst I’ve ever tried to sleep on, if you sit on the end or side of bed it seems fine, but once you lay down you will roll down to the middle, its like a giant hole that takes up 3/4 of the bed and very hard on your back, you look up at your feet kind of. and the other is the shower/tub.. the water was yellow-ish and it stayed that way.. for the money its perfect BUT only if you make sure you have a good bed, not a old worn out bed with a crader in the middle that you need to tie a rope around the bed post to climb out.

    Budget hotel

good place to stay if all you need is a place to rest at night. Multiple options for breakfast/dining within walking distance make up for the lack of food options in the hotel. Very close to I-90 exit that takes you straight to Chicago downtown

You get what you pay for

We took a last minute trip to Chicago and didnt want to spend a ton of money. We wanted a place to lay our heads at night and this is what we got. I dotn know if they serve breakfast because we always went out. The ladies at the front were very helpfull with directions. They did not provide a do not disturb sign so I called down to the desk and asked them not to clean our room and they didnt. For the price it was worth it. we plan on staying there again in the future. It was clean and smell free. The bed wasnt the most comfortable thing but it was fine.

I just wanted basic place to stay at night. Of course one should note that this is Red Roof not a fancy hotel and expectations should be accordingly. It was marginally clean and I found if OK for such a price.

    Not impressed

Room was dirty and had ants. Expedia says this hotel is 5 miles from O’Hare, but the hotel’s website says it’s 9 miles from O’Hare. It took more time and cab fare to get places, due to inconvenient location.
