Travelers tip on local attractions
close to freeway I-75. But no fridge and internet.Good place to stay
Good place to stay.
... My teenage daughter and I were sound asleep all alone. the next morning a strange man unlocked our door and was coming in our room because the front desk gave him a key to our "vacant" room! Luckily, he was a nice man and we were alright - but imagine if he wasnt.m. So, at 8:00 a. to get settled in.m.) We were moved to three different rooms - which took until 4 a. I asked for a new room after I killed the third bug (I dont know if they were water bugs or bed bugs. It was disgusting... There was a bloody towel hanging on the back of the bathroom & BUGS!!!
Will never stay here again.Dirty room.
. I would go back again, certainly. Besides that, it was a really cozy, clean, modern and comfortable stay. I dont feel sorry for people who dont use them and then complain about noise. The A/C unit is quite loud, thats when earplugs come in place! Never travel without them. I have stayed in hotels paying quadruple the amount and with less comfort. Modern furniture and roomy, bright bathroom. The room was renovated and really nice. The area was safe and for being very close to the highway still pretty quiet. The price was unbeatable for what I got.Modern and clean for small price
Its a 15 minute drive on the highway from downtown Detroit but worth it.
. Overall I would recommend to stay. It is very noisy. Only thing that I hated about this hotel was the A/C. It was the best hotel deal I got in Troy.Nice place to stay
Its nice place to stay for the money we pay.
. A great lively place for a few beers, a good meal or checking out the game.
Travelers tip on nightlife
Joe Cools Pub is down the road in Troy on Big Beaver. Quite a bargain compared to nearby hotels. The room was updated, clean and comfortable. It was close to everything in Troy, Mi and incredibly well priced.Great location, Great deal!
This place was quite a pleasant surprise.
.
Travelers tip
GPS directions can get goofy, since its technically on a side road with the same name as the main road.Nice place - no complaints!
For the money, you cant beat this place with a stick! The staff was nice, the room spotless, the bed was comfortable, everything worked, etc.
Try that!.
Travelers tip for business travelers
If your budget is not limited, there are other great hotels in Auburn Hills. A huge construction project is going on around the hotel which makes daily commute very difficult. It is not easy to find and very far from shopping plaza and business places. The only problem with this hotel is its location. Heater/Cooler unit was old and noisy specially at night. The bed was new but not very comfortable. The hotel staff was friendly and quick. The room was clean and quite. Poor location
I had very pleasant experience when I stayed in Red roof Inn at troy MI.Great Rooms, Excellent Service.
Great rooms and great rates
the rooms were very clean, beds were very comfortable, slept like a baby , very satisfied.
. Would recommend. Not too far from downtown and very close to everything you need to be around while on vacation.
Nice, clean confy room.Great room, great price.
. i stayed at cheaper places with more. i guess i just expected more and was let down. the blankets were thin and when i needed to talk to the service dest gal i had to wait a good 10 minutes for her to get off the phone without so much as a, "i will be right with you".
this hotel didnt have a hairdryer in the room and there was hair in the tub...Expected too much.
Cant wait to go back!
good room including refrigerator, great!.
. Was close enough for the casinos but without all the traffic that comes with that.but other than that we would stay there again.. The only thing if i had to make a comment on something, was in the bathroom the housekeeper really should make sure the get in the corners of the floor and some dirt build up there. Looks like it was just re-painted.Priced Right
This Hotel was priced right for what we needed! Beds and Pillows were fine.
There were no restraunts nearby and unable to get a newspaper, Would not stay here again. Overall rating low
Our room smelled of smoke. Not even average.
. The beds arent big enough to fit 3 small people on it either (unless theyre really small). I was so tired that it worked. The only thing was that they dont have any extra beds or blankets! So I ended up sleeping on chair cushions from 3 different rooms so I wasnt directly on the floor.Worth the money
We took our youth group there - so squeezed a few extra kids in the rooms.
. We would stay there again. Service was good and very responsive. Very good value. We requested a non-smoking room, but did smell a faint smokey smell.
Very clean room and easy access to I-75.Excellent value for the dollar.
. It is certainly clean and comfortable, with wireless access through T-Mobile. It does not have a lot of amenities, but they were not expected. Red Roof Inn Troy fit the bill.A good place to stay
I needed a convenient, safe and economical place to stay for several days while there on business.
