Reviews

. While it is a non-smoking hotel, they do nothing to regulate guest smoking behaviors outside and you cannot come or go without walking through clouds of smoking guests hovering by the doorways. The hotel staff was overwhelmed by the crowd -- especially during the Sunday morning buffet. Our room was not as clean -- especially the bathroom -- as it should have been.Overpriced, Weak Service Below Standard for Price and Brand We were surprised by the $75 pet fee - even though we had called in advance.

Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay pack light -- small rooms; plan to eat breakfast out -- a lot of restaurants w/i 5 minute drive and even a walk, leave ur workout gear at home -- gym is nothing like the picture!. Lone weight set is some unknown contraption. Cites gym -- room is size of closet and has one bike and two trend mills.)Suggest ditching "hot" food for more bagels, muffins, fruit, ceral, etc. Hotel states continental breakfast is served, unfortunately you need to get there early to have breakfast (don’t replenish) and get a seat (maybe 10 tables in "lobby/tv area". very small rooms & as animals are allowed, heavy handed w/the cleaning products... Negatives. Hotel makes coffee and tea available 24 hours in the lobby (much appreciated). Hotel’s location to stores, restaurants, Penn State arena -- excellent.Service at hotel was very good from check-in thru check-out...State College Marriott -- not bad/not good Postives.

. But, you will need a rental car. The suites are comfortable and the staff makes the hotel seem warm and welcming. Travelers tip for business travelers If you are traveling for business to Penn State, this is an optimum choice for a longer stay (5 days or more). You can also receive a discounted pass at East Coast Athletic Club which is a few minutes drive down the road and has both classes and wider range of cardio machines as well as weight machines. The service is fantastic! There is a gym inside the hotel that has a couple useable cardio machines. A nice, full breakfast is served every day. The kitchenette is a useful feature because it gets tiring to go out for every meal during a week long business trip. The free internet service is a great convenience.Comfortable accomodations for a week long stay Comfortable for a longer stay because the suites are bigger than a normal hotel room.

. But the room was clean and the decor nice. The walls are extremely thin so when the guy next door was talking on the phone we could hear him like he was sitting in our room. But there are some maintenance issues like a drippy bathroom faucet and a mattress that allowed half of us to roll to the center causing the other half of us to be crowded onto the edge. First impression of the room is good. It’s okay.

. Travelers tip on local attractions The hotel was only minutes away from the campus of Penn State. I would stay at this hotel again, definitely. And the bed was comfortable! We also were able to take our dog with us. The room was beautifully decorated and was extremely clean.Would love to stay there again! The staff was pleasant and welcoming.

. I would definitely recommend this hotel. The pool was very clean and as nice as it looked in the picture. The complimentary breakfast was as good or better than we would have gotten at a restaurant. The hotel was clean and the service was exceptional - both competent and friendly.A perfectly pleasant stay Our family (three kids) stayed one night, as a stop-over on a longer trip.
