    new experience....will do it again!

For the past 15 years, we have been stying oceanfront in Myrtle Beach (had 2 sons). We have continued going back by ourselves after the boys were gone, and always stayed in the same places. I found the Market Commons online and was not familiar with it since it is new. We decided to try this for a change of pace. It was a great change for us...very nice, quiet...upscale. Lots of shopping, great restaurants, movie theatre - and quick access to all the things that we love doing in Myrtle Beach anyway. Only one small complaint....there is an office manager during the day, but you get an answering service if you need something after hours. We could not get the internet to work - even though we had an access code on our entry card. We could not get e-mail, etc. and called that evening - got answering service. Left a message and they never called us back. We finally went by the office on our way out the next morning, and told them we could not get online. The guy handed us a cord...which means that we should have told him we had a laptop and then we would have gotten a cord. We think he should have asked us if we had a laptop because most places these days do not require a cord. Also, it was the same guy who checked us in and he had no customer service skills at all and acted like we were bothering him...which really surprised us. Otherwise, a great stay!

    Very Nice & Great Location

The check in staff was friendly and that is the only time I had any contact with anyone. We stayed in a 2 bedroom 2 bath that was very nice. The furniture was new and had everything we needed for a nice stay. It is in the Market Commons above the shops and restaurants and just a few minutes from the 17 Bypass and Kings Highway which is the main street downtown. Being in the center of Myrtle Beach made it extremelly easy to get around. I actually played golf just across the North Carolina border and it only took about 40 minutes to get there. I would recommend this location to anyone who is looking for a very nice place to stay.

    Travelers tip

Although there is free internet in the rooms, I did not bring a laptop. There was not a computer room, which would be the only negative I found.

Probably one of the Best Places in Myrtle Beach

The rooms were no more than a year old. They were very, very, very clean and had every convenience imagineable (almost to an extreme). Seriously, the Full kitchen (Full size refrigerator, stove, microwave, and dish washer plus electric mixer, etc.) had every kitchen utensil one could need. I felt like I was at home. The location was great for day or night walking (very safe area) because of the beautiful architecture, nice backroud music in the streets, convenient stores, movie theater, etc. You get a free entrance and parking pass to the beach... what more can you ask for? In Summary...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

    And we keep coming back

This is our second year staying here and we just love it! There was a confusion on our room but they fixed that without a problem. I have a family of 6 and we just love it here. Going to the state park is great! So make sure to get a pass (its free). Overall the restaurants and shopping area is wonderful and we’ll be coming back again next year.

Broadway at the Beach has a lot of stuff you can do with your family. There’s shopping, dining, they have an IMAX theater, mini golf, and a water play area for kids that they can run into.

    Nice Getaway

We enjoyed our stay. It was close to the beach, beautiful, quiet area. I loved the layout of the shops and I enjoyed the free apetizer coupons and menus that we were provided with as a part of our welcome package. I have already recommended this condo community to other friends and I hope to go back again!

    A great experience

This hotel/resort was great! Very clean with modern furnishings. The whole Market Common area looks less than a year old. We had a 1 br king with a den and its basically a mini apartment with everything. There were 5 of us and there was plenty of space. We used the den as a BR and it was fine for two teenagers. Only wish there was a pool, and couldn’t accomodate late check out and there’s no house keeping while you’re there (but we really didn’t need it after we figured out where to place our trash). Still, when we return, this will most likely be our first choice. Reasonable rates and excellent room.

    Travelers tip on local attractions

ResortQuest is in a very nice area about 1 mile from the beach and has many restaurants and some upscale shopping in the Market Commons area right outside your door including Ultimate California pizza, we went twice...also has PF Changs. You will appreciate these areas if yo go in August like we did, when it was 100 degrees. We didn’t mind spending extra time in the and MC area. Its about 10 minutes from just about everywhere else (Freestyle, Nascar, Broadway at the Beach, outlets, etc.).

    Wonderfully relaxing

This was our first family vacation. ResortQuest Rentals met all our needs. The staff was informative and friendly. The place we stayed at was so clean and spacious and the beds felt like we were sleeping on clouds. The Market Common was convenient with all its restaurants, clothing depts and movie theatre. All entertainment spots, including the beach, were a hop, skip, and a jump away. I recommend ResortQuest-The Market Common to anyone and we plan on coming back again.

    Great stay

The hotel was wonderful. It was pleasantly comfortable. The room was exactly like the pictures. The staff was extremely helpful. The area was great. It was away from the crowds yet surrounded by so much. My family and I will definalty visit Market Common again. The bed was so comfortable. It was our favorite part of the trip. No matter how much fun we had during the day, we couldn’t wait to get back to the comfort of the room and craw into that wonderful bed.

    Travelers tip

Even though it is only 1 mile from the beach, expect to drive. You have to walk down a busy road and cross a busy street. We drove to the beach each day and had to pay the parking fee.

    Myrtle Beach best kept secret

Market Commons is a little village about a mile from the beach. Excellent restaurants, movie theater and shops. There is a very large public park, with walking/biking/rollerblading trail that goes all around a huge pond. Playsets for the kids, geese to feed and plenty of grass to romp around in. The Market Commons gives you a free pass to the local state park, which is 1 mile away. The state park is on the ocean, providing all the beach access you could want. It is not as crowded as the other beaches either. The excitement of Myrtle Beach is also just about 1 mile away, with the boardwalk, piers, and attractions. Ripley’s Aquarium, Hard Rock Amusement Park, Broadway on the Beach, and numerous other attractions are all withing a few miles away. The wonderful thing about the Market Commons is that when you are done with your site-seeing, amusements, beach, etc.. you can go back to the peacefull little village and relax. The hotels are above the shops, all providing views of the activity below. They are basically mini apartments, giving you plenty of room to spread out an relax. I HIGHLY recommend the Market Commons as a great home away from home getaway.

Travelers tip on saving a few bucks

Rooms all have kitchens. A grocery store is walking distance (within village) away. Save some money and do some of your own cooking. Especially breakfast.

    Very Nice for the Price

My husband and I wanted to take our two young boys (age 2 and 6) to the beach for a few days, but did not want to stay on the coast as many hotels there are usually not kept as clean due to so many people tracking sand in and out of the their rooms. As we walked into our ResortQuest room, my oldest son had a huge smile on his face and the first thing he said was "I have the best mom ever!" The room was very nice, clean and spacious. I think he felt like he was at home because of the kitchen, dining/living room, and adjoining bedrooms. As other have said, the actual room does look exactly as they show on the pictures. And you are only 5 minutes (or less) from the beach. You definitely can’t beat the price for all the space and comfort.

    Great Place for Us/Family Time

This was a great place to stay. I have been talking about it since I left. I planned this trip for my fiance and I before I moved. We wanted to spend some "us" time together. We walked into the room and discovered that the picture on the net did not do it any justice. It was well cleaned and had a welcoming feeling. It has a grocery store around the corner so we were able to save money and cook. It is about a mile away from the beach, however, it is the perfect place to return to after bathing in the sun. I am suggesting it for a couple’s retreat. The staff was great over the phone, at check-in, and check-out. I felt so secure with the keyless entry, despite the fact that I locked myself out. I returned to the office and Zack made me feel comfortable and not like a dumb guest. He helped me laugh it off and gave me a new code. It was just a great experience.

Travelers tip on saving a few bucks

Resortquest has a full kitchen, so you can cook at your hotel and take it to go and that will save you more money to spend on souvenirs.

    Very clean and comfortable

When we arrived to check in the front desk realized there was a mistake our reservations was for the next week. We had reserved a one bedroom with a den. This paticular room was not available so they upgraded us to a two bedroom at no extra cost. The room was equipped with everything needed including 3 flat screen TV’s, stereo, all applicances. My wife and I travel 3 to 4 times a year, I would say with out a doubt this is one of the nicest places we have stayed at. We will definetly stay here the next time we go to Myrtle Beach.

    Travelers tip on local attractions

Close to the beach you can be there in 10 minutes at the most.

    Great Place

Our stay at the Common Market at Myrtle Beach was awesome. Accomocations were excellent, comfy bed, very clean. Price was great. Very handy to shops and restaruants and the beach was only 1 mile away. The location was great too - between north and south Myrtle Beach which was handy. Would definitely stay here again and in fact have already been looking for information to see what other properties are managed by Resort Quest.

Great value for a lot of room

Stayed for 4 days over Memorial Day weekend. This is not actually a hotel but really rental apartments. They are fully furnished and supplied with all you need. Bedroom, living room, kitchen, dining area and den for much less than hotels. Sure you don’t get free breakfast but with a full service supermarket within walking distance that was no problem. The location was not on the beach but I didn’t want the beach crowds on this trip anyway. It is in an upscale area withplenty of shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again as I enjoy not being cooped up in a single room when I am staying somewhere for more than a few days.

    Travelers tip on dining

Tommy Bahama’s restaurant was a pleasant surprise. The service was a bit slow but the food was much better than I expected.

The 1-bedroom condo that we had was perfect. Clean, comfortable and had all amenities including washer/dryer. Complex very busy during day but quiet at night.

    Travelers tip on shopping

With the grocery store, restaurants, and shops you don’t have to leave the complex. Malls and other stores close by.

    Nice place to stay.

The rooms are above shopping stores. The wife and I liked it very much. The kids would have preferred some other place. There really was not much for them to do except walk around which they did the first day. The room we had was nice. It was clean and comfortable. I would recommend this as a place to stay.

The kids would have much rather had a place with a pool. If you have kids that get bored rather quickly, look for a place with a pool.
