Reviews

. It is a nice three or so star hotel. It is a nice hotel It isn’t a really high end hotel, but it was nice and is quite convenient for going to the Warner Brothers studio.

. Friend who flies to India will next use that airport. Only 1 1/2 hours from Bakersfield. Bob Hope Airport is so easy to fly out of compared to LAX. Fast food close by. Travelers tip It is a little further away from airport than anticipated, but still convenient. I loved the retro neon Safari Inn sign. I would stay there again. I felt reasonably safe there. Clean, and convenient. It is what it is-close to airport Retro motel located within 3 miles to the Bob Hope Hotel.

. No problems. Pleasant staff.Excellent for price Clean and comfortable.

. Just watch the traffic. Good stores and restaurants. It’s about 1/2 a mile away. Travelers tip on shopping Go by the Burbank Town Center. Better than I expected. Not too long of a drive to get anywhere. Location is great. The staff, very friendly & helpful.Nice Place To Stay Our room was very clean & comfortable.

. Parking was a little tight for larger pick-up when full.the breakfast was ok and was ready early enough for those of us that had to leave at 6am for work.Good Value Very good for the price.

. All they had was a coffee table and four armchairs. The only thing I didn’t like was that they didn’t have enough room for more than four people at a time to eat their continental breakfast.Decent place to stay Room was clean, staff was friendly, and location was good.

. Only minus might be limited TV programing and viewer guide, otherwise I’ll stay here again on my next LA visit. Friendly, helpful staff. Comp continental breakfast just right to start the morning. Rooms are clean, comfortable , and good value.Iconic Motel An iconic motel in central location to many LA attractions and freeways.

Many many attractions. Sunset Blvd. Studio NBC Tours Universal City and Walk North End Pizzeria in downtown Burbank (taste of Boston) Hermosa Beach Comedy Club (Jay Leno) Walk of the Stars Hollywood Blvd. Travelers tip on local attractions Warner Bros. I would recommend this hotel and I will definitely go back.Love it! I have been to the Safari many times in the past and they are extremely accommodating and clean.

. Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay Bring your laptop so you can msn/chat or email with friends or family. Good clean hotel with a charming little breakfast in the morning :) Free wifi was very good to have.Great location, would definitely return Located north of all your LA destinations this is the perfect hotel to stay at.

. Just go right in with your ticket in hand. You don’t need to stand in line and then listen to a sales pitch. Travelers tip on local attractions I advise getting tickets for attractions at the hotel or on-line ahead of time. You can get the tickets online at home. It is convenient to NBC studios and the Jay Leno Show. One of their people helped me with a stuck suitcase zipper. It is convenient to major expressways.Second time at this hotel This hotel was an excellent value and I would go back a third time.

. You’ll feel like an old movie starlet. Travelers tip on recreational activities Use the pool. It is perfect for the modern traveller. The accommodations are very modern and comfortable. Very nostalgic.Retro Coolness This hotel is a throwback to those kitschy hotels from the 1950’s.

Having our own car we selected this hotel and has been a good idea.Nice stay to visit Los Angeles We wanted to visit Los Angeles don’t staying into the downtown.

., check out Bob’s Big Boy a couple of miles south on Olive.A. Travelers tip on dining If you’re new to L. area.A. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone who needs a base of operations in the Valley or West L. The breakfast is basic -- they might get another toaster since everyone lines up to use the sole toaster they have. -- cigarette burn in the blanket and the carpets were "tired", but the room was very clean and the bathroom was great.K. Our room was O. are about five minutes away. There are restaurants nearby and NBC, Warner Brothers, etc. The best part is the location -- close to major freeways yet out of the way.-*Great Locaation, Fun Hotel The Safari Inn is a throwback motel, basic and clean.

Courteous service and clean environment.Excellent hotel Very good experience.

. I also liked the free internet connection. The room we stayed in was very spacious, and the bathroom was huge, much bigger than some 5-star hotel ones.Very Nice The looks from outside was quite deceiving.

. Normal price is out of range compare to what you could get this is why we move to another hotel for the 4th night. Not so impress with the hotel and the breakfast is not even continental I did not like at all the fact to have to ask for hot water in order to get a tea in the morning and people at the lobby were doing it but letting you know that you were disturbing them.

(It is very close to Universal Studios!). We will stay there again our next trip to Burbank. We could hear our neighbors if we really really tried, but didn’t take away from our comfort and sleep. Our room was very big, and had a full kitchen, and refrigerator. We walked at night and felt very safe. With a McDonalds open till 1am, and a 24-hour donut shop within walking distance. This hotel is very good for the money.Very nice hotel in the Burbank area.

. It has 2 or 5 hour studio tours which are fun if you are interested in movie making/ tv production. Travelers tip on local attractions Warner Brothers studio is just down the street. We loved this place and highly recommend it. Nice retro look. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The hotel is super clean, breakfast was good, nice pool area. Small town feel.Great Place Great Price The location of the hotel is out of the fuss and buss of Los Angeles, but it is still close by.

. A rental car will definitely allow you to get the most out of your trip. We had a rental and most of our drives were not too bad, although LA can have some horrible traffic at times. This is a great place to stay for the price! Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stay If you are going to be site-seeing in Hollywood or LA, your best bet would be to rent a car. The area is nice and quiet and the pool looked very nice although we did not swim at all during our stay. There is also a bistro next door to the hotel that has decent food. I’ve noticed some complaints about the continental breakfast, but if you want a hot breakfast there is a McDonalds within walking distance. The staff was nice and helpful. The room was very clean and it had a mini-fridge which was a nice bonus.Great Value and a good location! I stayed there with a friend our first time ever visiting California.

Travelers tip on local attractions Great place to stay for a visit to Universal Studios or LA. The location was wonderful. The heated pool was great. The staff was very helpful. Our family loved this hotel.

Nearby park for kids is a plus (not far by driving distance). In this case it is a nice area where one would feel safe with their family. Travelers tip Car necessary to do anything, but that is true for most parts of this area anyway. I would definitely stay here again, and wish it were available in places we regularly stay. It is also located in a beautiful area that is reasonably located to grocery stores and other amenities by car. The rooms are nicely renovated and very clean (pics are accurate), and the staff is very nice, helpful and personable. In fact, this "motel" has better rooms and service than many similarly rated "hotels" I have been in.Very enjoyable A very nicely renovated 1940’s-50’s motel.

. And one of the persons that was with us was locked out of their room early on check out day, but all in all it is a good place to stay and always my top choice. The breakfast is a little lacking in the morning, most bread, pastries and apples. The staff is friendly and the pool area is small but sufficient if you just want to lounge. The price is in a inexpensive range for the area. And as for the hotel rooms themselves, they are clean & roomy. The area is safe, it is far away from the airport & commuter train noise, its convenient to the freeways but not too close.but the last few times, I have stayed with the Safari Inn..Most comfortable place to stay When I go to LA I always stay in Burbank and there are quite a few places to pick from.

Glad to have found the right place we were looking for!. we both were completely satisfied, comfortable and content during our stay there... Like other reviews, however, breakfast wasn’t something to write home about. Found room in great condition with great layout, nice pool, staff was courteous., this is it.A.Much better than I feared! Despite reservations after reading reviews, I found Safari Inn to be a gem! If you are looking for a motel that truly reflects ’art deco’ aspect of L.

. Travelers tip on dining There’s an Elephant Bar Restaurant and an In and Out Burger just across the freeway. Good for a one time stay. Funky, but basically a good value, especially for the area. Still, it is just a motel with minimal ammenities and some occasional road noise. In addition, it is owned by a most reputable organization, The Coast Hotels.Burbank’s icon This is a famous place, featured in many movies, "True Romance" and others, as it is near the movie studios.

.Nice large room and bathroom The bed was a little too firm for my liking but would stay here again.
