wonderful experienceWe loved the location, close to Petco Park, Gaslamp. We rented bicyles down the street from the hotel and had great fun riding.Rating:2
Do not go with young children. This hotel is strictly for business travelers. I would strongly suggest that you look elsewhere if you are traveling with a family. The rooms are spacious but there is no refrigerator which is key if you are traveling with children. There is no pool either indoor or out. It has a great location for dining in the gaslamp district but that is as far as it goes. We booked a water view room and were put in a room without a water view, and told there was nothing else available. I then had to call Expedia to try and fix things and the Manager moved us up a few floors. Dont be fooled! Water views are not available through Expedia. Even after we were "upgraded" our room still faced the Omni Hotel. The front desk also tried to charge us for a nights stay when we checked out. Great hotel if you are on a business trip or have an expense account. Thats about it.
Travelers tip on saving a few bucksCant possibly.Rating:5
Most Comfortable Bedding!!I am extremely happy with this hotel. I have stayed in thousands of hotels and the bed and bedding are very important in my being a return customer. This is a 6-star bed! We will be returning!
Travelers tip on local attractionsMany things to do for the whole family within walking distance, plus many dining places. We suggest a stroll through Little Italy and stop for pizza. The Padres play just steps from the front door and Seaport Village is a couple blocks over. And the weather is always perfect!Rating:5
Beautiful hotel, great locationThe hotel was very clean, friendly staff, great restaurant and location. Such a wonderful value and comfortable rooms.Rating:5
Best Hotel in San Diego! The hotel has a perfect location! Walking distance to Petco Park, the Convention Center, and the bay, as well as being right in the heart of the Gaslamp, in my mind theres no hotel in San Diego that can offer the convenience as well as the service. They have valet only parking, but thats only a few bucks. When I come back to San Diego Im definitely staying here again!Rating:5
Very NiceStayed at this hotel for several nights while in town for a conference. The room was very clean and comfortable. My room was on the 9th floor and faced Petco Park - I was able to hear the crowd cheering, but the noise level was very low and wasnt disturbing. The hotel staff members were very polite and helpful. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I go back to San Diego for business or leisure.Rating:5
baseball tripthe hotel is nice but the location for the gaslamp district and petco park is perfect. Ideal spotRating:5
Impressive viewsThe room was a nice size and everything iin the room was clean and fresh. Easy walking distance to a lot of interesting places. View of ball park outstanding. Easy check-in and out.Rating:5
outstanding hotel, wonderful locationeverything went perfectly including the weather. the location and staff attention is fantastic.Rating:5
great place to stay downtown.great place close to all that the gaslamp has to offer. cant wait to come back.Rating:5
Great location next to PETCO ParkGreat views of bridge, ocean and PETCO Park. Walking distance to everything we needed. Also enjoyed the rooftop bar. Overall a very pleasant stay and had a great time.Rating:5
GASLAMP QUATER BABYthe marriott at the gaslamp was awesome, will definetely come back, great view of the city and of course having the water front view was just great.cant wait to see another padres game and stay at the Marriott Gaslamp Quarter....Rating:5
A Little OverpricedVery clean hotel, fairly quiet, easy access to the Gas Lamp Quarter and easy to hook up to transportation. Plumbing gurgled at night sometimes, thought a little overpriced.Rating:5
Excellent hotelWould definitely stay here again
Travelers tip on saving a few bucksself park across the sreet for an avg of about $10 per dayRating:5
First Class PlaceWhat can I say? Is does not get any better. It is real close to the Stadium, trolley, places to eat, drink.Rating:5
Superb!Superb, great location overlooking Petco Park...nice and clean, great staff...booked us a reservation for a local steakhouse Max on 5th, that too was superb!!!Rating:5
Great for BallgamesHad a great time. My room on 16th floor overlooked the park. The bar at the top was outstanding. Overall a great stay.Rating:4
Good for baseball, basic decorThis is a great location, and a great view of Petco. The rooms (all remodeled over a year ago) were basic and disappointing. The matching furniture was shipped from Vietnam and assembled. It was tack and nothung of interest on the walls. Also - no Mini Bar- Wow!Rating:5
Lovely upscale hotel in great locationConveniently located in the Gaslamp Quarter and across the street from Petco Park. Also boasts the best skyline bar in the city that has cozy firepits and waterfall behind the bar. Definitely a great place to stay for your next visit to San Diego! There are many great things to do in San Diego with your family - SeaWorld, Legoland, San Diego zoo. If going to the see the Padres, prepare yourself for very high concession prices at Petco Park. Plan your meals ahead and pack a picnics where you can to save money. There is a full-service gourmet grocery store and pharmacy only 10 mins away by foot from this hotel.Rating:4
San Diego Marriott Gaslamp QuarterOne block from Petco Park. Wonderful; view of the ball game from the roof. The game is partially obstructed, but you can watch the pitcher and the batter. Plenty of good places within walking distance. We didnt even rent a car. Cheap public transportation will get you all over.Rating:4
Great locationThe hotel is in a great location, next to Petco Park, and the Gas Lamp Quarter. I recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a fun, upbeat, close to everything place to stay. The hotel is a little more lively than most, so if you are looking for a quiet romantic setting, this is not the place. Otherwise, I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to get away!
Travelers tip on diningThe Gas Lamp Strip Club is a great steak house for those looking for something a little different (you cook you own steaks!).Rating:5
Great Hotel ..We stayed here for a baseball game at Petco Park and the location overlooked the park and in the heart of Gaslamp. The room was nicely appointed and service was outstanding! Great rooftop bar too!Rating:5
Looks can be deceivingThe Marriot on K street does not compare visually to the Marriott on the waterfront. But dont let the looks fool you. The interior is modern, well kept and comfortable. A block away from 5th street/Gaslamp Quarter area, it is a no-brainer decision to save a over $100/night and go with this hotel. Plus you have the Altitude bar on the roof with amazing views and chic atmosphere.Rating:5
Fantastic Hotel in a Perfect Location! This hotel was fantastic! It was clean, well decorated, had VERY comfortable beds, and extremely helpful service! The location was ideal so close to the perfect part of town! I highly recommend this hotel! And it is only an 8-10 minute cab ride from the airport!
Travelers tip on diningThe trendiest dinner/nightlife place in the Gaslamp District is by FAR the Stingaree! To get in just for the 3 floors of bars/dance floors/ and fabulous outdoor patios, there is a cover of $20 and a long line at that! However, if you eat dinner there- free cover! The menu is eclectic and rather expensive but the meal that we had was well worth it! $13 any type of salad, $19 any appt., $30 any entree, $10 any dessert. Go for an amazing dinner and plan to stay out for drinks/dancing/mingling!!!
