Reviews

. I just avoided the lobby as much as possible and felt very hassled when trying to check out. It wasn’t loud and the room was clean and comfortable. Considering the density of revelers this hotel really did a good job. The hotel was packed with rowdy college football fans. Unfortunately, I was there for a conference in KC and found it to be the only hotel available that weekend.Sheraton Stay This hotel would be great if you are there for the water park and or nearby stadium events.

.Beautiful Hotel Hotel was beautiful and very comfortable, and it had great views of the KC stadiums! Staff was very helpful and friendly and the lounge is a place to hang out.

. Travelers tip on recreational activities Must go to a royals game yeah they don’t always win but beautiful stadium and great food...other than that great hotel... swimming pool is odd to get to got to go through the lobby and down elevator to get to the basement where it is corporate meeting was going on and their I am waiting for elevator to go to pool. also water park admission not included but worth going to.. Room is nice and cozy couldn’t find ice bucket till last day and kids had made mess with crackers and was not cleaned up when house keeping came but we only had one more night.Good Hotel for Royals Game We stay at this hotel for easy access to royals games they have shuttle to and from long wait if don’t get in line quick.

. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. It was nice to have a nice alternative to Denny’s across the street. Top Notch! Travelers tip on saving a few bucks They had a very nic breakfast buffet set-up in the resturant and it was reasonably priced. We will be going to more baseball games during the 2010 season and we will stay at this hoel again. Its a nice hotel and I don’t expect that. Just bummed that it smelled like smoke. I did not complain because the hotel was very full because of the baseball game here were no rooms open. The parents were in the room next door to me and there was a huge difference.I had a nonsmoking room and the previous guest smoked in the room... My only problem was. The hotel was very clean, very comfortable.they provided shuttle service to and from the game which was nice... We went to a baseball game at Kauffman stadium. I enjoyed the hotel...Great place to stay.

. We were looking for a Catholic Church and they had times and a map already for us. The staff was very helpful. They’ve kept this hotel pretty modern. We were there to go to the Twins/Royals game and they even had a free shuttle.I’d go back.

. The staff is super. While waiting for the game in the evening there are great places to play cards with friends. It is a very friendly hotel.Great place near Kaufmann Stadium I love the location.

Great Time and Great Service Loved IT.

. This hotel had the friendliest staff of any hotel I have ever stayed at.Friendliest staff ever.

. The front dest staff went out of their way to provide us with everything we requested.Nice place to stay! We found this hotel to be very clean and comfortable.

My girlfriend had same problem!.Ordered steak and beer and got fish and coke then I had to wait 30 min more to get right meal and drink. Not impressed I have spend 2hrs in restaurant I was waiting for drinks over 20min.

. Not impressed with the place at all.She said they didn’t have one, I felt we were putting her out by even asking for such a request, what hotels don’t have phone books? Not even in the rooms. Asked for a phone book to get a number to a place to eat and they wouldn,t even let us see one. Probably would of gotten better service if in the main hotel itself. We weren’t even in the main hotel, way out back. Never once offered to put us in a different room. We problem wou’t stay at this place again, the air conditioner was not working, ended up with box fans to keep it half way decent in the room, two or three light bulbs burned out, coffee pot didn’t work, took them for ever to get anything to us and we usually had to call at least twice to get it taken care of.Not impressed My husband and I just wanted a nice place to go for a look week end,go to a game and relax, big mistake.

. Denny’s Restaurant 1/2 block away and fast food restaurants a few blocks away. Coco Key water park is connected to the hotel. No Club Level for Sheraton Starwood members which made it seem second rate in that regard. No free wifi except in main lobby. No continental breakfast. Hot tub was not very warm. Within walking distance to Royals/Chiefs stadiums.Best KC Hotel location for Royals and Chiefs Quick check-in, close parking, easy access to I-70, very clean, nice pool and exercise room.

. Seems like it must have been remodeled recently.Really nice rooms My room was really clean and nice.

. There are not many places to go within walking distance of your hotel other than the game field and we found a "sports complex" is not kept up very well. Travelers tip on recreational activities Don’t pick a hotel just because of its location to the game if the hotel is located outside of the city. The only highlight of this hotel was the indoor pool and Starbucks coffee shop. We tried eating at the restaurant and we were completely ignored for 20 minutes; I complained to the front desk and after they "called the restaurant" we were stilled ignored for another 10 minutes. only working half the time, the bathroom had peeling wallpaper and a broken vent, the wireless internet in our room was not free and we could not turn off the air conditioning.v. Our room had many things wrong with it from the t. While it was easy to get to the game, the rest of the stay was a huge let down. We picked the hotel because of its proximity to the field (right across the street) and because of all the pictures we saw of it online and its great amenities.Very disappointed My husband and I went to Kansas City to watch a football game.

. Would stay there again. Only thing that happened that was negative was as we were leaving, the elevator would not stop on the 2nd floor and we had to drag our luggage down the stairs. Had trouble in the business center with a printer and they fixed it right away. Near Kaufman and Arrowhead stadiums They had a shuttle to Kaufman stadium and it was free! Room and people were great.Great place.

. Not a big deal, though a bigger vehicle for game days would really be a solid plus. Only one or two vehicles make this an adventure during busy hour before and after the game. If using the shuttle service to the Sports Complex, leave a little extra time. The food and beverage service and quality were excellent. A few minutes of study got us acclimated. The layout of the building is a bit strange, probably due to renovations and the addition of the CoCoKey Water Park.Sheraton KC Sports Complex a winner Perfectly located for the baseball and football fan, this Sheraton had great potential and delivered.

. Our service was always excellent and we really enjoyed our stay. After the game, the hotel had great deals on drinks and food in the lounge. We were able to walk to the stadium (although there was very heavy traffic).Sheraton Sports Complex We stayed at this hotel in order to go to a KC Royals game.

. Nice hotel.Great location walking distance to Royals or Chiefs stadium.

. Plenty of places to choose from in KC. We tried to let management know but all we got was excuses.I could keep going but what’s the point! The only good thing about it was that we each had bath towels and the shuttle to the ball game was great...terrible parking access...ice on any floor where we could get some for a cold drink...a trash container... For what we paid for our room we felt we should have received more than 1 bar of soap (for a family to share at the sink and in the shower) for 3 days.Disappointed! We were quite disappointed in the quality of this Sheraton as well as the customer service we received.

. We ate at Jack Stacks and it was great. Travelers tip on dining Try some sort of barbecue while in KC. We would definitely stay there again, especially if we were there for games at either the baseball or football stadiums. The location and price we received on Expedia were outstanding. Overall, this place was perfect for us. We never got to use the CoCo Key indoor pool. Starbucks on site, dining on site, decent outdoor pool. Otherwise, the place was great. There was a little garbage in the stairway which never got picked up and that is the only reason I rated the maintenance at a 4. We were on the third floor and getting elevators up was never a problem but elevators down were slow so we usually took the stairs. Our housekeeper was great also. The beds were comfortable. The rooms themselves were average sized but clean and updated. We reserved adjoining rooms which we did not get but they were able to put us in rooms next to each other. However, the hotel runs a continuous free shuttle to and from the games which was perfect for my family. Although walking to and from the games is possible, it is a little treacherous without police traffic control. The hotel was across the interstate from the stadium.Perfect for sports related stays I took my family to KC for vacation and mainly to see the Royals and Mariners series.

.None The overall condition of the Hotel was not what I expect from a Sheraton as was the overall cleanliness below par for them.

Nice hotel Great place to stay for a KC Royals game!.

. After the check-in the stay was great.Great hotel but check could be better It took me about hour of wait time to check-in because the rooms were not ready for the guest in front of me.

. No housekeeping service at all on one day. Towels, glasses, coffee, soaps etc not replaced. Stayed eight nights and something was lacking each day. Very pleasant front desk staff, but housekeeping was poor. Restaurant on site was good. Loved the shuttle to the game.Good hotel, but poor housekeeping Good location across from Royals stadium.

.Very convenient The shuttle service makes this a perfect place to stay when attending Royals or Chiefs games.
